For now, I have all the seedlings under 24 hours of uninterrupted light, running back and forth, let me explain: From 10:00 PM to 10:00 AM the next day, they are in the main tent, alongside the 3 adult plants I have left to harvest. After that, I put the seedlings in a window with filtered light and southeast orientation, where they stay until the sun stops coming in, around 5:00 PM. Then I move them to my homemade grow cabinet until 10:00 PM with blue (450nm) and white (6500K) lights... and then we start all over again! 😁 For now, I'm holding back on the watering mixes and only watering with spring water. deFharo Welcome homegrown, underground, and organic marijuana enthusiasts! 💚👨‍🌾 After two failed attempts due to the demise of the first two seedlings, caused by the clumsiness of this distracted grower, finally the third seed enters the big game, and it has to make up for all the lost time!... let's go for it! 😍 Four weeks since germination and one week since transplanting to the final pot, this time, for this plant, I've chosen an old-school 7L pot, with a square shape, lateral aeration, and an elevated base, which always gives me good plants and rests on river stones that I've placed in the tray and keep moist to quickly attract the roots. Additionally, I've set up a very airy and lightweight nutrient substrate; so far, I've watered this new substrate for the first time with spring water, an acidic mix of Activated Mountain Microorganisms (MMA) in liquid form, and a bit of molasses to massively inoculate microbiology to facilitate the dissolution of the nutrients in the substrate so the plant can feed on these nutrients in the first weeks, because the main goal is to have massive root expansion in the shortest time possible, before applying any kind of soluble nutrient. Moreover, for this strategy forced by the delay I'm experiencing regarding the contest, I'm going to keep this plant under 24 hours of light for now, while the rest of the plants transition today from 24h of light to 20 hours... let’s play! deFharo Welcome, enthusiasts of homemade, clandestine, and organic marijuana! 💚👨‍🌾 Almost five weeks since germination and two weeks since transplanting to the final pot, the plant is evolving strong, motivated, and healthy. For now, I'm only watering with spring water, so the plant can feed off the substrate. The motto for this season is: Let it grow, don't disturb! In these early days of spring, when winter is still making its presence felt, I've filled all my new pots with the mulch I collect each season. I waited a week after transplanting to do this and let the substrate settle. For the past five years, I've been recovering the top 3-4 centimeters of substrate from harvested pots. This material is composed of organic matter in various stages of decomposition, much of which has turned into humus. Additionally, this mulch contains the highest concentration of microbiology, due to the presence of oxygen, the constant inoculation of microorganisms, and the organic matter I continuously add, creating an ideal ecosystem for microbial life. Over the years, this living layer has broken down all the leaves from my crops, including roots and small branches. I've also added wood chips, fresh grass, dry straw, old cigar butts, dry amendments, etc. It's a true factory for decomposing organic matter and minerals, which then turns into humus. Five years ago, I roamed several forests in the area looking for mountain microorganisms. I created a seedbed for this microbiology. This product is a fundamental element of my biofertilizers. I like to believe that the successive generations of applied and recovered microbiology from my substrates adapt perfectly to my garden, its climate, its feeding, its lighting, and its care. The truth is that I've been pest-free for a long time, and my plants grow robust and healthy… as long as I haven't done any bizarre experiments with them. SEE YOU SOON... A few days ago, I made a cut on the central apex, and despite that, the plant has doubled in size, and the water consumption is very high. I continue to water without nutrients, letting the plant feed off the substrate. For all the plants, I’m applying a watering with auxins every 15 days to promote the roots. The plant shows compact growth with multiple branches vying for a prime spot under the lights. This afternoon, I'll be doing new ties on the branches to shape the plant and optimize branching and light entry. Today, I'm also going to take out three plants, the smallest ones, from the main tent; I'm going to place them in my homemade grow cabinet, this way I'll have more space in the main tent and I'll extend the vegetative growth of these 3 plants for at least another week. A strain that needs no introduction... but deserves one. The plant is participating in the 2025 Contest. It entered late. Grew slowly. It was the last to hop on the train, but not the last to arrive. During the vegetative stage, it seemed to lag behind, more shy, less ambitious. But now, in full bloom, it’s finding its rhythm, like those runners who save their energy for the end and then surge ahead with style. It’s making up for lost time. It’s blooming like a champion. It grows in an old-school pot, 7 liters of tradition and stubbornness. Today at sunset, after spending the last 24 hours under light, the last 12 on the balcony, I harvested this great plant, which has left me with good memories, a decent yield, penetrating aromas, and my fingers black, coated in trichomes. The plant grew in a 7-liter old-school pot, and this season has convinced me to keep using this type of pot, which saves me space and substrate and makes it easier to move the pots around. ============================================================== After a good drying and two weeks in the curing jar, I've started smoking this exceptional herb. Just opening the jar is an experience; the aromas burst forth, and choosing a bud to smoke becomes easy. To the touch, the buds are sticky, with great density; the herb doubles in size when ground... and the smoke is fantastic, smooth to inhale with powerful and energetic effects at the same time, a perfect balance between indicas and sativas. Additionally, I’m finding some seeds; this season I had a male from a Brazilian native sativa that seems to have managed to spread its pollen to all the crops. Next season, I'm going to grow some of these seeds; for me, it's a great gift from nature to have homemade and spontaneous crosses between different strains to try new herbs because in the end, I smoke it all! 😁 UNTIL NEXT TIME...
