KarlOlga So there were 2 left. Due to lack of space, one lady got kicked out. 1. Topping was done Dealt with fungus gnats using yellow stickers and neem oil. I got the box as a gift and just wanted to try if this could work. I'm less than a casual consumer, so the yield is a secondary concern for me. The main focus here is the project and the fun of biology!

KarlOlga LST after 1st topping. Everything looks good. She's growing nicely and handling the stress well. For the anchor, I'm using some from an automatic watering system for tomatoes. As strings - tomato strings.

KarlOlga This week I topped 2 times, so now I have to deal with 8 main stems. They're already showing up. Everything is going according to plan, except for: Fungus gnat infestation! Countermeasures: yellow sticky traps and neem oil.

KarlOlga Back after 5 days of vacation: First watered without nutrients (noticed small signs of over-fertilization) and then defoliated the lady. Removed everything below the SCROG net. Lollipopping The lady has grown even taller... I'm unsure if I should tie her down again. Distance to the lamp is about 12 cm. Any tips? Update: 01/09 - first one, then a lot of male pollen sacs discovered... Now it's a tricky situation... I need to figure out what to do. Can she still be saved? I'll keep her for now and observe closely... On 01/10 I also modified the tent - moved the fan with the carbon filter up, humidity has dropped significantly, which was the goal of the action. 01/11 800ml water + nutrients 01/12 searched the plant, no new nanners found.

KarlOlga Still searching for them... so far no more pollen sacs discovered. Starting to turn purple. Increasing the night temperature a bit. The USB controller for the circulation fan has given up, so I can only run it at full power for now. Would you defoliate? I wanted to leave them alone after their herming for a bit. Defoliated on 01/16. Increased light intensity by 10%.

KarlOlga The buds are getting thicker, the smell more intense, and apparently, they don't want to be male anymore. January 21: Removed 3 young seeds and fertilized, 1L. January 24: Checked the trichomes, I'm not sure how much longer they need?? Anyone have an estimate? January 26: Watered with 0.6L of pH-neutralized water, no more fertilization!

KarlOlga No more feeding, noticed some bud bleaching - reduced light intensity! I think we’ll be harvesting next week. What do you all think? 31.01: Probably more like the week after next! It's producing new white hairs and the buds are swelling further.

I'm very satisfied!\nWith such limited space, it's often a compromise, but it was a lot of fun to carry out this MicroGrow. For the first attempt, I'm really happy. Next time, I would top one more round and leave them a bit longer in the veg phase.\nThey have beautiful colors and a scent of lemon and pine!\n\nUpdate: 26.02 16 g dry weight! Smell of blueberries, oranges, mango... Super fruity for sure.

KarlOlga After multiple analyses of the trichomes, I decided to harvest today. I'm happy! After 5 days of drying, I trimmed the buds - now it's fermentation time.

hi, I think you should wait at least another 2 weeks and of course check regularly. It will be worth it in the end. 😁😎👏

@@Galaxy_Ranger, thanks for the tip!

I would let them grow a bit longer and regularly check for nanners. Luckily, I haven't had that problem yet. I once planted a bagseed at the very beginning, and it produced quite a few nanners. But I could confidently get rid of those since there were two fems in the tent. However, since you only have that one lady, I'm not sure. Many in the community are starting fresh because the chances are high that something else might come up.

@GanjaGecko, Thanks for the tips! I’ll check every 3 days now, and if it still wants to self-pollinate in 2 weeks, I don’t know if I’ll stick with it until the end. The chance of missing one of those is not so small either. Thanks again for the tips. I’m a total beginner, and there are a few places where I’m unsure.

@KarlOlga, yeah that's a good plan. I ended up throwing mine out at some point too. But it looked like the nanners were still closed. Otherwise, the lady looks in great shape👌🏻💪🏼

I'm an absolute skeptic when it comes to this suitcase, and now with legalization, stealth isn't really in vogue anymore. BUT nonetheless, your plant looks great 👍
KarlOlga
KarlOlga commented2y ago
@Momentum, I totally get it… with a small tent, it's 100 times easier. I got this thing as a gift and I'm not really focused on yield but fascinated by the biology. So it's more of a hobby project. However, a great side effect is that I have a place where I can dry my outdoor plants odorlessly in the summer.

If you want better results with your grow, I would suggest changing the light, check out my blogs, I've grown with both sunlight and other lights, the result is obvious which light is better :) and it's really not, if you're interested, I can tell you which light it is.

@Naujas, I’d love to check out your lighting tip. What lamp do you have? Best regards

Well done, 👍 the trichomes are still maturing anyway. Last year I had an outdoor (on the balcony) plant and had to harvest it prematurely (I think at least 3 weeks too early). All the trichomes were crystal clear and the buds weren't fully developed, but due to mold infestation, it had to be done! 😏 After nearly 3 months of drying in paper bags (I actually forgot to put them in jars), we finally tried it, and I must say I only noticed minimal differences compared to the ones from the tent, except that the buds were much, much smaller, but otherwise TOP!!! Oh yeah, it was a SSH (Super Silver Haze) from Mr. Nice Seeds. 😎👌
KarlOlga
KarlOlga commented2y ago
Yes, I'm also very curious about the result... first, it needs to dry and then into the jar. It's not a huge amount, but it will last me for months... Thanks again for the help!
the end.
