Germination
Hi! Here we go! Was germinating with the glass of water + paper towel (around 48 hours total) into the 15 liter (4 gallon) plastic Autopot. Germination style was inspired by Dr. Mj Coco, you can find him on Youtube, highly recommended. day 1: Added some sweet Hesi nutrients (very low concentration like 1/3) and added few drops around the seedling with a pipette. Ph - 5.9, 137 ppm. day 2: Adding some Hesi from the same mix of yesterday, 5 ml just around the seedling every 3 hours day 3: Adding a bit more water with nutes from the same mix every 2-3 hours. Mid day it shedded and showed the first leaves. Got rid of the humidity dome and turned the humidifier to keep it at 70%. Turned up the lights to 30% power (50cm from the plant) 😼 Considering this a transition to the veg phase so starting a new week in the diary.

4th day. The veg has started, I am finishing the 1.5L of the very weak nutrient mix I've made previously and getting a new one, gonna write the measurements down. 5th day. Was finishing the initial nutes mix, increased the light power from 30% to 75%. The temperature has risen +2 degrees inside the tent. Humidity is still between 60 and 70%. 6th day. Put a light closer to the plant, from 50 cm to 30 cm. Made a new mix for 1 liter of water. Ph 6.0, ppm 200 (mixed demineralized water and the tap for lower ppm). Feeding around 200 ml of mix to the plant daily. 7th day. Second pair of leaves started to come out, all looks good so far! 8th day. The very edges of the leaves turned a bit upwards, paying close attention during the following days 9th day. Realised that my nute's ph rises significantly every day. So the plant might have not digested the supplies for 2 days 10th day. Made a fresh nutrient mix and gave a quite a bit more than I should. Hopefully haven't overwatered.

timestamp: 19th jan 2025 day 11. Hmmm leaves' colour in some places is a bit yellow...maybe I'm paranoid day 12. Idk yet but probably starting to see some deficiency. Googling hard, stopped watering to localize the problem day 13. Guessing it's over watering or too intense light, will wait until tomorrow day 14. 😓😓😓 Obviously having a problem. The soil is still moist 1 cm deep. Turning the lights down for 6 hours in case it's too intense (was going 24/0 on 75%) day 15. I had to make a trip for 4 days. Was super busy and worried out if I can already start the Autopot system. So I did water 300 ml from the top for the last time and turned the system on. So in that case the plant won't stress too much and if the roots are too short, there is some water at the top. day 16. Was away day 17. Was away -- End of the week.

Would gladly use some help with my first grow 🙏 2 main reasons come to mind after googling: 1. I overwatered thinking it's hard to do since I'm using the Air dome. 2. Too intense light. Was checking a lot of growers that actually grow 24/0 and went for it 75% 40cm.

hours of light in itself is only half the equation. Rate of photons x hours = light applied, and DLI takes it a step further making it relative to a m^2 space so that you can compare apples to apples across different sized gardens. you want to shoot for 35-40 dli in ambient CO2 conditions. Only if you light is very weak should you run it 24/0 and be gauranteed it overcomes any negative of eliminating a dark cycle, otherwise keep at least a 6 hour dark cycle. I would weigh ekeing out the maximum DLI you can provide (trial and error to find that value) over a dark cycle, but should be avoided. Dark cycle processes can and do take place in the light, so it's not "do or die". I'd bet the house "max" dli is more important, if you have to sacrifice something. If growing photoperiods and only 1 light, it's wise to make sure that light can cover the full area with enough light proportional to change of hours at flip. e.g. 18 to 12 hours would be 67% power in vege, then 100% power in flower. 16/8 to 12/12 would be 75% in vege and 100% in flower. This way you know you are providing the same 'max' DLI target, which is what matters. local variables in addition to ambient co2 will make your 'max' DLI slightly different from someone else's. A proper VPD will definitely make your plants more receptive and capable of greater amounts of photosynthesis per day, therefore will generally handle more light per day, limited by co2 conditions. autopots are a bottom up watering system? blech... you'll always have to worry about buildup at top of where it gets moist. Takes the most important element of soilless growing and throws it out the window - 10% drain to waste. It's what makes soilless growing so easy. That coco has zero drainage elements added, so it's less than optimal for frequent irrigations. Use 2:1 perlite or similar, so 33% of volume should be drainage amendments with coco and 50% with sphagnum peat moss, a superior option for soilless. Might be why your plants have a little droop, too, but more than 1 thing can cause that. I'd still stick to a pronounced wet-dry cycle early on and if you want to do more frequent fertigations after the root mass has developed and the plant can drink fast enough to warrant it, go for that heading into flower. plant size and pot size have to jive for that to work out well. Want at least a 33% loss of water weight between 'frequient' fertigations.

26.01.2025 18th day. Was away (and worried what will I see upon arrival) 19th day. OMG the Autopot worked, the plant is growing in all directions and the leaves are the same width with the pot. I'm so happy! 😻 👏 I've also started to feel the smell and it feels really nice. I always thought the smell of a cannabis plant is one of the most beautiful out of all. 20th day. Realised I got nothing to do LST with. Ordered a 3.5 wire on amazon. 21st day. A bit late but will try to implement LST. Watched some youtubers and gonna experiment. You can see the lower problematic leaves on the top picture. Wondering if they are working or should I get rid of them. Anyways will cut down one leaf tomorrow, the one that is blocking the light. 22nd day. I've cut the leaf, all looking good. 23d-24th day. Have cut some more leaves to let the light in.

02.02.2025 Going full power with the nutes by following the exact schema from Hesi. 👉I've resolved my PH-drift issue, was kinda obvious but due to lack of experience didn't think it's my ph-down solution. Basically I was correcting my mineral soup with organic PH- (citric acid), and it only worked for few hours, that is not good when using Autopot. Got the bottle of phosphoric acid and it's rock solid now, what a relief! 😇 25th day. Nothing to say much, will only update when smth happens. 26th day. Noticed a pre-flower condition on the main stem. 27th day. Continue with more LST and light defoliation 28th-29th-30th days. LST, some more leaves went down. 31st day. Leaving for a holiday for 3 days.

9.02.2025 Came back from the holiday and was very surprised by the plant's growth speed. Now it's in flower and can consume new nutes that I'm giving in accordance with the scheme. Going to feed exactly by the numbers it tells me to. 32nd day. Got very sick with some modern virus, wasn't even in my power to take pictures, the plant is doing really good. was sick in bed the whole week 😥

16.02.2025 39th day. All looks promising, the only point is that I've left too much of a little stems at the bottom and it's probably too late to cut them off. Will let them live and see how it goes. 40-41st days.
