GermGrowFox Hello hello 👋 Germgrowfox here again.
After my last grow unfortunately had to be cut 4 weeks early due to pollen from a hermaphrodite plant, I'm starting again with a more relaxed run this time.
I'm working with living soil based on "perfect plant Biotabs." I have no interventions planned. Let's see if I stick to it 😅 I'm starting with 14l of soil in an 11l fabric pot.
Seeds have been freshly placed to germinate, and I'm now preparing the pots with the substrate. Let's see what happens... What will happen.
January 14
All three ladies are germinating lightly. However, one has a noticeably darker root.
I've now placed all three into the 11l pots and lightly watered them.
January 17
Plants number 2 and 3 are visible. We're still waiting on number 1 :) If the third seed doesn't come up, a critical Auto, also from RQS, will be used as a replacement.
All three pots were equipped with three biotabs each. Pressed about 10cm deep into the soil. Additionally, each received 1l of Bactrex, Orgatrex, and Calmag.
January 19
Number 1 seems to have not made it properly. I've prophylactically placed the previously mentioned critical directly into a peat block. Let's see what happens. Orion number 1 still gets a 24-hour chance.
I've filled the watering systems with 2.3l of water + Calmag at pH 6.5.
I've placed red clover to germinate and distributed it superficially in all three pots.

The two Orion F1 are slowly doing their thing. The crit is logically still in the substrate. Since I planted the seed directly into the substrate, I won't be counting on her for now.

The critical is here :)

2 liters of water divided among all three pots.
I completely relied on my sensors in the pot... but the surface was way too dry... I'll keep a closer eye on it from now on.

Three weeks have passed since I planted the seeds to germinate. I still find everything quite small 😅 but it will be what it will be. The good folks at biotabs suggested I remove the net from the jiffys next time. This probably also affects the growth strength of the young plants. I'll keep that in mind for next time 👆
Otherwise, I'm satisfied with the current progress. I'm still drinking quite little and the workload is manageable. The two Orions look ready for LST. However, I've decided to leave it and take this run easy. The last run unfortunately got messed up due to too much training. I really want to avoid that, but it's burning under my fingers 😅👍
So far, there have been no additional nutrients. The fertilization schedule from biotabs works well in the lightmix. (If Team Biotabs is still reading: should the fertilization schedule for automatics be set more subtly? Or can I work according to the given fertilization schedule like with Photos?)
The two Orion F1 are now 18 days old.
The Crit is now 12 days old.
February 5
All three plants were generously sprayed with iron spray (Vita Race// Plagron).
February 7
6l of water + calmag divided among three pots.
February 8
Today I removed two fan leaves from the Orions so that the upcoming lower shoots receive more light. I noticed the first female characteristics. I'm hoping for a decent bloom stretch; otherwise, it's still very small so far.

In my opinion, the plants are developing well, but the drooping of the crit is a bit surprising to me. The plants still seem very small for their age.
The two Orion F1 are now 24 days old.
The crit is now 18 days old.
The Orions have clearly entered the flowering phase.
The Orions were each provided with 10ml of Bio PK from Biotabs.
February 11
Plants treated again with iron spray.
Orions were defoliated a bit from the bottom.
February 13
2L for the crit. This one is already flowering too... It's still a baby. I probably really filled the pots with too much soil or something. I know that the genetics are supposed to stay small. But I've never had it like this before. 11L pots, I put in 16L of soil. I won't do it like that again. The grow will still continue as it is despite everything.
The Orions were not watered. Pots are still moist enough.
February 14
The Orion in the middle received 2L of water.
The Orion on the right is still moist enough.
I removed two leaves from the crit to give the lower shoots better access to light.
February 15
2L for the Orion on the right.
February 16
The plants have grown 4cm since yesterday. Very nice! :)
I pruned all three a bit more freely from the bottom again.

A new week is coming up. A bit is happening in terms of growth now. Still clearly smaller than expected.
Next time, I'll remember to plant the red clover a bit more controlled. Especially with the Crit, you can't see the soil for all the clover.
Crit = 2L water; one liter of that with 10ml Bio PK
Orion middle = 2L water
The Orions are now 31 days old. The Crit is now 25 days old.
February 18
Drip irrigation refilled again. I can't really estimate how deep the roots are. Especially considering that I might have too much soil in the pot. However, I hope it's enough.
February 19
By the middle of this week, we've reached 41cm in height. I'm not stressing about the size anymore, it's fine now.
February 21
Now at 46cm :)
The drip irrigation has been working quite well until today. The Crit on the left and the Orion in the middle have drunk all their supplies. Orion on the right hasn't. The pot is heavy and the soil is soaking wet. I don't know why the lady drinks differently x)
I refilled the irrigation systems for all three, always with calmag. My goal was to work only through the drip irrigation from a certain point on. However, I'm just not sure if the water being drawn from below reaches the fertilizer tabs that I buried about 10cm deep. Therefore, I still give a splash of water from above, but the majority should be drawn from below.

It's Monday again, which means I get to update my grow diary for the week :)
The plants are looking super beautiful to me now!! The Orions have reached the 50 cm mark :)
I haven't had to water them since the last time; the pots are heavy, the soil is moist, and there are no signs of overwatering.
The Crit is also slowly taking shape, but it's still just a baby fart.
Casual thoughts for today: I voted yesterday. I voted for legalization. I'm sad about the preliminary election results.
I hope to continue enjoying my hobby... I've gained so much quality of life and joy since April 1, 2024. Please, dear politics, let reason prevail!!!
February 25
All three plants received 1 liter of water each with 1g of Bactrex and 20ml of Orgatrex. I think next week I'll give them another round of P-K, and then no further nutrient supply should be necessary. The fertilization schedule was only roughly followed^^
The drip irrigation was refilled today after the strings had completely dried out. Humidity is starting to rise again. I'll keep an eye on it.
March 1
Drip irrigation refilled again. It was a good investment. It saves a lot of time.
Humidity is manageable and is between 50-62%.
The flowers of the Orion are growing incredibly fast. The Crit is still a bit slower, but it's 6 days younger.
The two Orions are now 43 days old. The Crit is now 37 days old.

It's Monday again: Week 7 for the Orions and Week 6 for the little Crit.
Everything looks pretty satisfactory overall. The drip irrigation was already half empty again. However, the pots felt very light and not as heavy as usual. I have the feeling that the irrigation hasn't been working properly since the last fill-up. Still, the water ran out quickly. I don't think it just evaporated since the humidity has been stable.
No idea...
I've refilled the drip irrigation again and this time made sure to soak the strings. Additionally, I poured 1L of water + 10ml of Bio P-K 5-8 on each plant from above + 0.5L of water afterwards per plant for "flushing." Hopefully, the remaining water for the week will now be drawn from below through the strings.
This stupid red clover is driving me absolutely crazy!!! I've already noted it once, but better safe than sorry: never use so many seeds on top of each other per pot again!! Especially with the Crit, it's very hard to water from above because everything is full of that damn clover. wuuuussssaaaaa
March 6th
The pots were a bit drier again. The strings were also bone dry, just like the tank. It somehow feels like the irrigation isn't working properly again. Today, I took the plants out of the tent, refilled the irrigation system, and made sure to completely soak the strings. I hope this takes away my uncertainty.
The Orion on the right has a noticeably faster flower growth than the lady in the middle. The Crit is doing her thing and also generating volume. Still, everything is significantly smaller. I'm very satisfied with the results so far! Just the uncertainty regarding the water supply needs to be resolved. Does anyone have experience with drip irrigation in fabric pots?
March 8th
Refilled the drip irrigation again.
Additionally, there was 1L from above.

Monday, here we are again.
Not much exciting has really happened. I feel like the buds of the Orions are currently ripening more than growing. But they look nice to me :). They are beautiful flowers. It's slowly getting frosty!
The Crit, on the other hand, is starting to develop buds noticeably faster. It looks like a little goblin next to the Orions. But also pretty to look at.
I refilled the irrigation system again today. It's running out very quickly.
The Orions are now 52 days old.
The Crit is now 46 days old.
March 12
Refilled the drip irrigation.
March 16
Refilled the drip irrigation. This time it was completely empty. Drip lines super dry, pots noticeably lighter than usual. I think that was okay since the pots have been so heavy in the last few days. Tomorrow marks the start of the next week.

Week 9
As already described yesterday, the Orions are in the final stretch. I will take a closer look at the trichomes during this week. I will upload pictures of that later. I will probably start to withhold water from the Orions on Wednesday, so they can dry out a bit. It will likely not be possible for me to put them in the dark for the last three days, as the Crit still relies on good light. They will be dried in a different tent, which is connected to the same filter system.
The Orions are now 59 days old.
The Crit is now 53 days old.
March 18
The Orions have already drawn all the water from the pot. I will not refill the drip irrigation anymore, but let it dry out a bit over the next 5-7 days.
In the meantime, I am preparing the drying tent. 1 circulation fan + 1 duct fan, connected to the grow tent, should be enough.
March 20
The first leaf symptoms are appearing on the Crit. I can't explain where it's coming from yet, but we’ll just deal with it. Everything has gone smoothly so far.
The Orions are screaming for water!! The pots are very light. I took a closer look at the trichomes today and, according to my personal taste, I’m almost at the finish line. (I like it with little amber, mostly milky, sufficiently clear)
I will take the scissors to them tomorrow or the day after and remove all the large leaves.
The Crit can continue to do its thing, even with slightly yellowing leaves. I just wish I knew what it is exactly, to avoid it next time. I only watered it sporadically today with the watering ball. I have no overview of how much water is in the pot. I skipped pH adjustment and calmag for the first time (just out of laziness).
March 21
I supplied the Critical with two liters. Unfortunately, I hardly had time to check the tent today.
The Orions are really thirsty… it feels weird to watch. But let’s see what happens… what will be.
March 22
I have already removed all the large leaves from the Orions. They look pretty bare now, but you can see the beauty of the buds accordingly :)

Week 10 and with the start of a new week, it's also harvest day. The trichomes are more than ready :) I'm excited. The temperatures in the drying period are settling at 22 degrees. A bit too warm for my taste, but you can't choose the weather.
The Orion in the middle looks like it's just about at its end. The buds are firm and compact. The Orion is getting chopped now, while the Crit can stay a little longer. Meanwhile, an outdoor project with creamatics is starting :)

The Crit is now almost ripe :).
I also find her beautiful. She will find her cut in the next two to three days :)
I turned off the light in the evening. She will be in the dark for three more days before the cut comes.
Meine Partnerin bestätigte mir diese These. Kann mir einer erklären woran sowas liegt .
