deFharo Welcome, enthusiasts of homemade, clandestine, and organic marijuana, the new growing season starts now! 🖐️ 👨‍🌾 This fall/winter 2025 season I'm playing in my main tent, with 8 strains/plants, in old-school pots of 7 and 11L. I love sativas and I like it even more when they are landrace, without crosses with other strains. Generally, they are plants that need to be tamed so they don't invade the grow tent with their size, but in the end, the smoke from an Asian sativa transports me to other times and lets me smoke all day and be at 101%. 😋 Now, thanks to Zamnesia, I'm going to be able to grow this exotic and refined landrace: The Thai is a pure landrace sativa, and it grows as such. You'll get tall plants, with intense green foliage and long branches that stretch a lot before flowering. If grown indoors in small pots and with a bit of training, these plants reach an average height of about 150cm and produce up to 500g/m². Outdoors and under the sun, they can easily reach 3m and produce up to 800g per plant. Remember that the Thai prefers warm and humid climates with plenty of light, and it needs 14 to 16 weeks to fully flower... let's play! 😍 - I started by diluting about 15ml of hydrogen peroxide in mountain spring water, let it sit for 2 hours, and then tossed in the seeds, which were in the water for about 30 minutes. - Then I placed the seeds between damp paper towels with a mixture of spring water, Ormus, Bio Fruits, and gibberellic acid. - All the seeds, except for two, germinated within 24 hours. Yesterday I put in two more seeds from the strains that failed to germinate, and one of them is already germinating! - At 48 hours, I placed the germinated seeds in a light substrate made of peat, coconut fiber, homemade bokashi, and rice hulls, added homemade auxins to the hole, and covered them with a dome to keep humidity high. - After 4 days, the seedlings that had been in darkness saw the light, at night electric light with a classic CFL of 6400K, during the day by the light of a window, totaling now 22 hours of light and 2 hours of sleep. - 7 days after putting the seeds to germinate, I took all the seedlings out of the "incubator," removed the dome from all the pots, the seedlings are already starting to form their first leaves and they look eager to live... we continue the game. My grows are mostly experimental, and sometimes the experiments go wrong. This is the case with my first 6 seedlings this week; I did a foliar application with auxins and caused all the seedlings to wrinkle, they looked horrible, I thought I was going to lose all the seedlings, but they seem to be slowly evolving. What I intended was to give a hormonal boost for root development; first, I prepared a mixture of spring water and auxins (100 ppm) and watered them. After a few hours, I had the disastrous idea of applying the mixture foliarly, which was also an illogical idea since the intention was to promote growth in the roots, right next to the opposite of the leaves. I like to define my growing style as ruthless because sometimes I take risks with new techniques without too much caution, but in the end, marijuana plants always prove to have a lot of strength, and I tend to be overly confident, but the grows continue and I just hope this hormonal overdose doesn't affect my dear seedlings for the rest of their lives; I will take care of them! The seedling is showing very compact and symmetrical growth, in a few days I will transfer it to its final pot, and then the big game will begin, along with a winter journey through the Kingdom of Siam! This week I've been taking extra care of all my seedlings, pampering them. I prepared a brew with spring water, my Bio fertilizer made from 3 types of seaweed, natural heather honey, and a bit of Ormus from the Cantabrian Sea. In short, a multitude of micronutrients, vitamins, carbohydrates, etc. Additionally, I've added 15ppm of auxins to each watering as I continue my efforts to boost root development. deFharo 🖐️👨‍🌾 Welcome, enthusiasts of homemade, clandestine, and organic marijuana! This season I'm playing in my main tent, with 8 strains/plants, in old-school pots of 7 and 11L. Fifth week of growth and transplant week to the final pot, an old-school 10L pot with large aeration holes. For the 3 plants I transplanted this week, I prepared a very light and mineralized substrate; my intention is to maximize root expansion while creating the best conditions for the absorption of soluble bio-nutrients and the proliferation of microbiology. I used a base of light substrate, homemade bokashi, and coconut fiber (inoculated with MM) in equal parts with a bit of worm humus; perlite, river gravel, and rice husk to improve drainage, vermiculite and zeolite to promote moisture and nutrient retention, and finally a mix of over 12 types of micronized minerals at a rate of 1 gram per liter of substrate (various types of clays, pumice, azomite, basalt, leonardite, diatomite, dolomite, phosphorite, wood ash...), these minerals, for me, are essential, as they play crucial roles in enzymatic and biological processes and also ensure the complete presence of all the minerals from the periodic table. This mineral wealth greatly guarantees a complete and complex evolution of the plants, as after all, plants are animated minerals. 24 hours after transplanting, I did a watering with 1.5L of Bio Algae with natural honey and a bit of Ormus. The truth is, I'm worried about the 3 seedlings I transplanted this week; they all survived an overdose of auxins, but I fear that this will influence the entire grow. The three seedlings are struggling to establish themselves and even show some strange symptoms on the leaves. It's the sixth week of life for this native Thai sativa, and the little plant is growing very compactly, with a very healthy appearance. The plant is somewhat deceptive, as it looks smaller than its companions, but it's much more compact. Yesterday, in a hurry, I topped it to start shaping the plant and boost branching; I think it's going to be a spectacular grow! On sunny autumn days, I take the plants out for a few hours to expose them to the fantastic solar spectrum; the plants appreciate it. I continue with all the plants using vegan brews made from seaweed and fruits, in an attempt to enhance root expansion. Today I'm going to transplant the little seedlings into their final pots; tomorrow the playing field will have all the players ready to start, really, the autumn/winter 2024 games!... no mercy! Ten weeks from seed, the plant is timidly holding on, it doesn't have as aggressive symptoms as its companion Panama Red, but it hasn't really taken off after 3 weeks. Yesterday I did a foliar application mainly with Calcium and Magnesium, today I took the plant out into the sun to warm up the substrate and the plant as well. I’m going to keep a close eye on the evolution and will extend the vegetative growth stage as long as necessary until the plant shows vigor and uniform growth. I think the plant is worth it, because despite everything, the branching is very good, the stem is strong, and the branches show unusual hardness. I just hope there isn't a major problem with the roots. I'm going to let the substrate moisture run out and then I'll do a purifying watering. In the meantime, I’ll keep observing. UNTIL NEXT TIME... It's been three weeks since seed, and the little Thai is struggling to withstand the blockage that has already reached three weeks, although this week the water consumption has increased a lot, and that gives me hope... A week ago, I decided at the last minute to do a root flush, as I had no other options, even though initially I didn't associate the symptoms with over-fertilization, since I had been very careful with the watering components, and other plants with similar watering were behaving better. I prepared a mix of mountain spring water (pH: 7.9, EC: 0.22), acidified with a bit of one of my Bio Fertilizers, and in the end, the mix had a pH of 6 and an EC of 0.43. I started watering the pot, and when water began to drain from the bottom, I measured the EC and pH values of the runoff; I almost fell over backward, the EC meter went blank, and when I measured the values in PPM, they hit the maximum of the meter: PPM: 12000... holy crap! I grabbed the pH meter and another nasty surprise, pH: 7.85, and I have no explanation for either of the two measurements. 🤦‍♂️ Immediately, I decided to flush all the plants in the garden with the same watering mix, trying to lower the pH of the substrate and the excessive EC load. I used 1.5 liters per pot, I have 8 pots = 12 liters of water, and I ended up collecting 4 liters of runoff from all the pots, measured the EC: 7.5, measured the pH: 7.7, it was clear that all the substrates were too "hot." This plant stopped, after the flush, the degradation it was showing on many leaves, the water consumption level has recovered, but it was still showing leaf burn, so three days ago I did another flush and collected runoff with EC: 5.5 and pH: 7.55, still very high levels. I'm going to keep taking care of the crop, let's see if the roots renew and the nutrients in the substrate mobilize; I will surely extend the vegetative growth until I am sure the plant has established itself. deFharo 🖐️👨‍🌾 Welcome homegrown, underground, and organic cannabis enthusiasts! Twelve weeks from seed, the little Thai is still struggling to grow, although it's doing so very slowly. It seems like the blockages are coming to an end, but just watering with water is also causing a certain lack of nutrients. Yesterday, I gave it a deep and concentrated watering with several components to see if it perks up a bit more. Anyway, the plant is very bushy and compact, and its branches are extremely hard. There are shoots everywhere; I think it needs one more week of vegetative growth, and I'm going to give it that to improve rooting and leaf mass... all for the cause! 🤪 The short height it has so far I think will be an advantage for managing this sativa later on. To compensate for the height differences of the plants in my main tent, I'm raising the pots that need it so they are closer to the light. I hope that when the whole garden is in flowering, the heights will equal out quite a bit. For now, the height of the lights is conditioned by the Queen Mother plant, which is starting pre-flowering and measures 57cm. I hope it stops stretching this week. For the moment, since I have one plant on flowering schedule and it's very big, I have this plant and its companion Panama Red in my homemade grow cabinet for a few hours and then in the main tent for others. After 12 hours, when I take out the flowering plant, I move this plant to the main tent, turn off the homemade grow cabinet, and keep the game going. Thirteen weeks from seed and four days since I switched the schedule from 20/4H to 12/12H, the plant is beautiful and vigorous, fully recovered and moving towards glory! With a round shape that reminds me of a cabbage and multiple shoots, the plant is winning me over! The density is extraordinary, the hardness of the branches exceptional, a couple of days ago I removed all the ties, now it flies free... it's going to be a fantastic grow! I'm growing this plant in my homemade grow closet, still with vegetative growth light spectrums, to minimize the stretching that occurs with the switch to flowering schedule. The plant has started to flower! 🌼🌼🌼🌼 A beautiful starry canopy of budding floral shoots and a leaf mass with extreme and enviable density gives me enough clues to say it's going to be an epic grow! The plant is sharing space with another landrace (Panama Red) in my home grow closet (60x40x125cm), both of them are growing in harmony, each respecting the other's space. Since I didn't synchronize the light schedule change to flowering between both plants, to give Panama Red, which has been growing with many issues, a chance, I still keep two lamps over Panama Red to curb the vertical stretching, as there is a 10-day difference between the two plants. But once Panama Red finishes its stretch, I will replace the current 450nm and 7700K (side) lamps with others of 1800K and a side panel of 3000K + 660nm... summer colors! I'm cracking up! 🤣 The evolution of this little Asian plant is fantastic; it's going to turn into a big bouquet of huge flowers. The plant is very branched, with countless flower buds growing everywhere. Its small height allows me to give it plenty of light from all angles so that all the flower buds have the same opportunities. For now, it maintains a great leaf mass for very efficient photosynthesis... patience and care are the keys to this grow... let's play! 💃👨‍🌾 I grow this plant in a homemade cabinet with lots of light and the door open... because we have nothing to hide! 🤣 I feed my plants exclusively with soluble Bio Fertilizers that I make at home; I don't use any commercial fertilizers, just raw materials and powdered minerals. I’m counting on a soon explosion of the buds, there are still a few weeks of flowering left according to the producer, although everyone knows that producers' forecasts are not always accurate 🤣 I don’t have a fine nose, I can barely distinguish one aroma from another, nor can I relate them, but this plant every time I handle and move it releases a bunch of fragrances that, for me, are the most pleasant and delicious among all the strains I’m growing this season... it intoxicates me! A great plant that I have unintentionally punished and yet it has given me hard, sticky, and smelly buds. I had growth problems from the beginning due to a nutrient-overloaded soil, which I didn't realize until the end due to overconfidence, but the plant held firm. I believe that with better care this variety should be taken into account. We'll see how the smoke is when it dries for a couple more weeks.
