Preemptive management of pests before they become a thing.
BTi or Nematoads are great options for managing Fungus Gnats. it works and works well, its also very safe and cheep. Just add it into your feeding/fertilizing regime and it will never be a problem ever again. once every month or week depends how many you have.
I use nematodes as it works for me, but BTi is equally effective. Same kinda thing can be done for mites and thrips, some use chemicals others use predator bugs all depends whats available for you.
As for your treatment plan there is some big holes in it. They can crawel though perlite, so that won't work and Neem is not as good as it used to be. Its shown to be toxic to humans and have some other bad effects like carcinogenic potential. Need has been adviced by Canada to not be sprayed or used on any crops humans may ingest. It also does not kill them outright it just fucks with their mind and makes them not want to breed. Get some nematodes or better yet BTi and put it in a nylon stocking/sock inside the reservoir. They will be dead in a weeks time. My grow shop sells BTi in little beads that are meant to be sprinkled on top of the medium or in a res. Can also get it in liquid form, Keep using sticky traps as monitoring tools not cures to the problem.
Good Luck!
