Hello, A new growing session has just been started for White Widow from Dutch Passion. As this is the first session with this hardware, the goal will be mainly to have a hands on session and learn how to use it properly. I will also compare the nutrients performances between pricey Canna and rip off priced Advanced Nutrients. Objectives : 1. stabilise ph/ec for all weeks 2. LST/HST/Scrog 3. 1 gr/watt ( if the 2 seeds are females ) To be continued ....

I think I am a victim of BS marketing from Advanced Nutrients ... how ? why ? Simple : we are now in the second week and : "Ph unstability" that's how I would describe the nutrients. Really Advanced Nutrients ? why do you claim that BS about your so called "ph perfect" ? and why post fake videos on Youtube ? or are there pre conditions for the ph technology to function properly ? like the water has to be already at 5.8 ? Right now, all I can say is that "Advanced Nutrients" line of product shows no advantages over brands like ex, House & Garden On the contrary : the ratio price vs results/harvest should put AN nutrients far far (or maybe even outside ) your wish list.

So, now the White Widows are entering the third week of vegetative growth, and if it wasn't for those bloody Advanced Nutrients which are really a rip off compared to the non benefits they bring ( ph perfect ? whahahaha ... marketing crap ! ), everything would be good. The stains on the big leaves for the plant on the left are still from week 1, but I didn't cut them out yet to avoid stressing it too much. Next week we well probably top for the first time ( maybe the only time, I'm not sure ).

Hi, I'm seeing some burn/orange spot, but mainly on older leaves. It looks like an overfeeding ( potassium or so ). Could you let me know your impressions ? I am using already a lower AN dosage than recommended, I think I will reduce even more ( maybe use half their dose only)

X2 on what @Bulbi said just wanted to add that using hygrozyme which helps break down dead matter. every other res. change can really benifit the root zone. and definitly use something like hydroGaurd as Bulbi mentioned it works great I use both of those products myself with great results👍 another thing is make sure you are getting plenty of oxygen to the roots other than that follow what Bulbi has said about pH flux and triming gooey roots. Good luck Happy Growing

ok ladies and gentlemen, this is now week 4 of veg ... and I'm sorry to say that I still havent figured out why the little WW are stressed ... 😟 ... however, after reading tons of articles 😱, comments, critics, whining, coughing and stunning info and marketing bs about Advanced Nutrients, I have decided to reduce the dosage VERY significantly compared to the dosage mentioned on the bottle. Thus, it makes sense to add one week of veg and see how/if they will recover and develop. But if they thrive, that week could also be discarded. Sooooo, to be followed.

After some hesitations related to the various defficiencies and over feeding ( yeah, dealing with very soft water makes some reactions slightly unpreddictable ), we are now into flowering, yippie !

The leaves located on the plant on the right side are still showing signs of calcium deficiency ... but it's also the plant growing fast and big. We'll see how & where it goes ...

Where are we now ? Entering week 6 of flowering, yes !! Everything would be perfect if it wasn't for those on going small stains .... it looks like Calcium deficiency but the use of CalMag didn't help. Motto of the day ? AN brand is just marketing BS ...

Ok, which icon to chose that would describe best the past week emotions with the plants ? let me see ... probably I would go from 😃 to 😠 ... Happy because the plants are developing fine but upset coz the big stains are back ... but only on 1 plant and only on 2 leaves ... and of course, I still see & have all those "looking like calcium deficiency" small stains ... I hope it won't affect the quality of the final product.

Hi Bulbi, my EC is already at 1.7 so it is probably not a deficiency, but more an over feeding because the ph is under control for more than 2 weeks now ... Cheers

@CRiSPrGrow, ( so all I did was to reduce the nutrients dosage significantly, and it worked ) 😉

@JVGrowers, very nice, i'm not seeing any stress on these anymore, they're maybe a tiny bit slow because you're not root prunning that's it

Hi Hoffguy, I have the O2 Grow ( 30 min every 12 hours ) AND a classical air pump ( 24/7) in the water to oxygenate and move the nutrients area. So no, it cannot be due a lack of oxygen.

Our little babies White Widow are now entering their second week of growth and I am very surprised that they are still alive : the Ph was off the roof at 6.6 !!!!!! But as it's the first growth on this Alien RWDC system and Advanced Nutrients line, I am still learning and, for ex, the water is too soft so I need to find the right dosage to get to the point where the ph is stable. Fun to tune and once the system will be fully understood and in control ( air temp is still approx 0.5 degrees too low ), the next steps will be to focus on the growing technique to compensate the fact that there are only 2 plants on a small 1m2 .... if the breeder says the plant can reach 400 gr/m2, then that's my goal. Impossible to reach ? well it's a goal so it's always better to reach for the best. For this first grow, I will be happy to reach 0.4 gr/watts. To be continued ....

@Mrs_Larimar, PH is more in control for the time being, and it oscillates between 5.6 and 6.0. My main concern now are the stains appearing all the time, and only an overfeeding would explain ... but I need confirmation before removing 30 % of my feeding schedule . Cheers

@JVGrowers,Hi i would talk to an experienced DWc grower on GD, You find them easily, iam not so good in Dwc, but i can see that you struggle with PH and feedings. The gd " Family" most time likes to help and support

hey JV, hope i answered your question, this is not a nutrient deficiency, but dont worry i'm sure you will be able to fix it ! 👊

So we have just reached half of the flowering period, but technically we will not base the harvest on the week number, but rather on a microscope check of the trichome head for evaluating the ripeness, no matter which week we will be into.
