Germination
I had absolutely no idea what I was doing and bought a seed, threw it in an AeroGarden use your own seed pod, and popped it into the hydroponic herb garden. Per some reading online, I did this at half the normal nutrient strength. I knew I would eventually have to abandon the AeroGarden and transplant it to something bigger... but I had no plans. I bought the seed and popped it in order to light a fire under my ass and force myself to get a proper setup for a grow. So I began researching the lil Green Crack started growing alongside some mint, parsley, and oregano.

I just let her do her thing in the Aerogarden for the first week... and in the mean time, I started researching and determined I was going to grow in coco! So I put together a shopping list, kept reading, and prepared for transplant. [Note: It says coco is the medium, but the plant was in a hydroponic system for the first couple weeks.]

I essentially did nothing except ensure the AeroGarden was topped up with water for this week. Well, that's not entirely true. I bought and set up a tent. I got my coco/perlite mix and some real nutrients (no offense, Miracle-Gro). I bought a light and an oscillating fan and a fabric pot and a saucer and an elevator. And I got myself prepared, because it's time to transplant!

The big milestone this week was transplanting from the Aerogarden into coco on December 24. I was a bit nervous about the move since this is my first grow, but the process went smoothly and the plant handled the transition like a champ - no signs of transplant shock or stress. The seedling was really healthy coming out of the Aerogarden, which I think helped with the successful transplant. Got everything set up in the tent with the new growing medium and started the fertigation schedule right away. Really happy with how it's adapting to its new home in coco. Keeping a close eye on the environmental conditions and making sure I'm on top of the watering/feeding schedule. Still getting used to growing in coco, but so far so good! Looking forward to starting some gentle training once it's fully established in the new medium. Overall a successful week with the major transition from hydro to coco. The plant is showing steady growth and looking healthy heading into week 4.
