Here we go again! This time around, to avoid the thrips from last, we are switching our the soil from BioBizz All mix to Plagron light mix. We have also acquired a nice new 130watt LED lamp, spanking out a staggering 25000 lumen. I turned this down to half for the first week. We are also trying out Big Plant Science's liquid fertilizer.

The plant has been transplanted to it's new home for the next ~3 months, and we have lightly sprinkled 4 grams of BIG Root Explosion around the hole in the transplant. Day 3 update: Lowered the light to 50cm above the plants. Day 4 update: Watered with nutrients. Leaf damage noticed. Day 6 update: Watered. Lowered the light to 30cm above the plants. It looks like the leaf damage is not spreading to the newer leaves. My guess is pH imbalance.

I have noticed some slight leaf damage on Day 4. Leaves have been curling down for a few days, but I have now noticed spots. I wonder what could be causing this?

first of just make sure you do not have any bugs! If there are none it almost looks like they were a little root bound before they got re-potted and that can cause a bunch of symptoms including what is seen in your pics so if the new growth is not affected and stays growing good that was most likely the issue. Also you may be onto something with the pH👍, so make sure you pH is good on your runoff just to be safe and if you can try and lower your temps a little 81 isnt that bad but if you can try for around the 75ish range. Now with the leafs curling down that could be under/over-watering feel the weight of the pot when its dry but not to the point the plant is wilting. Then after you give it a watering feel the weight makes it a little easier to make sure your not over-watering. Good luck😊 Hope this helps. If you have any other ?'s dont hesitate to ask my friend👊

The leaf damage from Week 1 seem to have completely dissapeared from new growth. This indicates a root problem was fixed, and I suspect pH values being off in the seedling for too long. Day 2 update: Watered with nutrients. Day 3 update: Mainlining Step 1. Plant topped at node 3. All other branches and fan leaves removed. Day 4 update: Watered with nutrients. Day 5 update: Mainlining Step 2. Plant topped at next node to create 4 main branches. They are tiny at the moment. Day 7 update: Cut lower large fan leaves (not in picture). Tried installing larger fan, however, will be removed soon as it is too noisy.

We have begun the first two stages of Mainlining and the plant now has 4 main branches. We would like to top them again this week to produce 4 more branches at a total of 8 main branches. The stem is already very thick and strong. Day 2 update: Watered with nutrients. Day 5 update: Watered with nutrients. Defoliated lower fan leaves.

Another week begins and we are left with a massive healthy looking plant from Week 4. If you haven't yet, check the tie job on Day 5 from Week 4, as it sets the stage for what's going on in the later weeks. Barney's Farm LSD lends itself really well to mainlining, even with the powerful Samsung 388 LED board pounding down on it. It spreads it's nodes out which makes it easy to train. We have finished all mainlining steps, as we are stopping at 8 main nodes. Day 1 update: Watered with nutrients. Day 3 update: Watered with nutrients. Day 4 update: Defoliation. Day 5 update: Watered. Day 6 update: Scrog deployed. Day 7 update: Watered with nutrients.

We decided to flip the lights as the plant has become rather big for our tent. This is as we are expecting a stretch of 2 to 3 times the size of it's current height. We have noticed a slight nitrogen toxicity, some bigger fan leaves are wrinkled and very robust, so we are ditching Power House Part A for the first feeding on Day 2. Day 2 update: Watered with nutrients. Day 4 update: Canopy looking great! Top dirt is still wet, I don't think the fan is drying out the ground as quickly anymore. Day 5 update: Watered with nutrients. Day 7 update: Watered with nutrients.

The plant has grown significantly and completely overtaken it's neighbour, Phantom OG. We have noticed a mold like substance in Power House Part A, a long white string of material, which shouldn't be apparent in a soluble nutrient. Also, some leaves appear to have a very dark green colour, with a rough texture. It appears to be a nitrogen toxicity, which may indicate an overall imbalance in the nutrient feed. The plant overall is doing great, but as the water here contains a lot of calcium, we might cut back on Calcium Plus Part B, which also contains nitrogen. Day 2 update: Watered with nutrients. Day 4 update: Watered with nutrients. (Without Calcium Plus Part B) Day 6 update: Watered with nutrients. (Without Calcium Plus Part B)

This lamp, nutrient and main-lining combination is incredible! We have been away for the week, so the pictures have been taken with the timelapse webcam, thus a little shoddy. Growth has been insane! We are once again skipping a bunch of Part B in the nutrient mix as our main water supply already contains a lot of calcium. Day 1 update: Watered with nutrients. Another good week! It's just watering every other day from now, we hardly do any gardening. Some of the leaves below the canopy are having a hard time, but that is probably just the plant ditching them, everything else is healthy and green. Day 2 update: Watered with nutrients. Disaster. Plant problems have been noticed. We suspect them to be Manganese / Calcium deficiencies according to the leaf colour and brown spots. Lower fan leaves have also curled up and died, which might indicate a Nitrogen deficiency. The whole issue might be due to incorrect pH values in the water feed. On Day 3 we will either flush the plant with pH'd water or do a nutrient feed with all nutrients, paying careful attention to the pH value. Day 1 update: Watered with nutrients. (Without Part B). Day 3 update: Watered. We decided to flush with (carefully) pH'd water, a little higher than usual, probably in the 6.5 to 7.0 range. Day 4 update: Leaves have started to brighten and yellow at a fairly alarming rate. With the lower leaves falling off, this looks like a Nitrogen deficiency. Day 5 update: Watered with nutrients.

Nice looking buds bro.Definitely classic nitrogen deficiency. But she's doing what shes supposed to be doing but a bit early. Looks like she still has a few more weeks to go at least. She's probably drinking like crazy but lighten up on the water her leaves are drooping a bit. Let her dry out then I would give her a couple of normal feedings but don't use plain water in between. See if she at least holds her color. Let her dry out. Then try to go back to your regular feeding schedule. I wouldn't try to increase your nute ppm's it's going to cause issues. Keep an eye out for leaf hooking or burnt tips. It's just not good to give too much N so close to the end. Just give her a nice 2 week flush before harvest and you'll be fine. Good luck she's packing on some nice bud weight.

We are a bit worried about the yellowing fan leaves. The pH might have been a bit too much on the low side, to allow the Nitrogen to be absorbed, causing a deficiency. Otherwise, the buds are plenty and they are much much bigger than our previous grows. Day 1 update: Watered with nutrients. Day 3 update: Watered with nutrients (Half of Part B.) Day 5 update: Watered with nutrients (Half of Part B.). We decided to trim a lot of the yellow leaves off the plant as well. Day 7 update: Watered with nutrients (Half og Part B.)

Flushing! It's time for pouring water into the little plants and nothing else. We cheated a bit, and started mid last week. The plants are looking very good, we are removing some dead leaves due to Nitrogen deficiency, which is fine at this stage. Day 3 update: Watered Day 4 update: Top leaves near the bud have begone yellowing. I have never seen yellowing sugar leaves before. Is this something to worry about? Day 6 update: Watered. Day before harvest.

Very nice strain. We had issues during the grow with the pH, which was not apparent in Barneys Farm Phantom OG, grown under the same conditions. The plant grows nice and big, and is very easy to spread out for mainlining.

Compared to our other grows, there was a significant difference in grow when using this nutrient package and a new LED lamp, we almost tripled the outcome. It was also the first time we mainlined, which went great. We can definitely recommend mainlining Barneys Farm LSD, as it grows tall and big.

I also just popped some of these beans for my first diary and first grow 🔥 my two babies are only a couple day behind yours. I’m growing in a dwc hydro setup under HIDs, it’ll be interesting to compare how they grow in different set ups. Good luck dude 🙏🏼💚

@dancingshrubbery, yeah I’ve noticed that people tend to start day 1 when the seedling breaks ground. I like to keep track of as much as I can, that’s why I started my diary on -x days leading up to the seedling phase.

@dancingshrubbery, Yes they do!! an ahhh I love when that happens I find a way to let them all grow😂. I Had a Trainwreck Haze growing recently an when it was late in flower i had to tie up branches but there were to many to tie I named her Happy Problems haha It was like 48 top nodes it was super cropped clone and kinda topped itself so many times it was great

I love that 3D printed peg bro, very awesome idea to print out custom tutors, i mean what's wrong with bamboo sticks, yes, but 3D printing though lol anyway bro, think about making them even more custom like for LST training and stuff, even publishing it , i would download that for sure lol great idea, really creative 👊

@CRiSPrGrow, Thanks :) We needed a way to LST, and the pot didn't really support tying anywhere near the amount of gardening wires needed for mainlining. I'm programming a heads-up-display for a timelapse video I'm doing of the grow as well. It will label timelapse-images with the day and week with nice Growdiaries colours. Check it out https://github.com/dancingshrubbery/jpg-timelapse It's a bit hard to use, for non-programmers though.

Hey mate ! I’m glad you chose this seed : I smoked it last year at Amsterdam and it was one of my best trips ! Very subtile flavour and long-term effect ... Your baby seems healthy but is stretching too much isn’t it ? If I were you I would switch on the full power of the lamp and prepare to bury the stem during the repotting. Anyway, good luck for this adventure ! 🙂🍁

Yo buddy ! i've just posted on my diary for other reasons a scheme to the right pH for each nutrients for soil or soiless...feel free to chek it 👍 may be it can help you 🙏 cause if u right about the wrong pH value u gave it s not really a deficiency but more a blocking of a part of nutrients...
dancingshrubbery
dancingshrubberycommented6 years ago
@Budofpray, Thanks for the comment! A blocking of a nutrient may result in a deficiency :-) To be on the safe side, I decided to flush with pH'd water, and then do a feeding in 2 days from now. I will have to be very aware of the pH, and make sure it doesn't drop too low. It has probably been on the low side.

I have noticed some slight leaf damage on Day 4. Leaves have been curling down for a few days, but I have now noticed spots. I wonder what could be causing this? It could look like pH fluctuations, and I actually watered with non-pH-adjusted water the first week, but not during/after the transplant to the bigger pots. https://www.growweedeasy.com/ph-fluctuations-cannabis

Nice, looking forward to comparing it to Laughing Buddha :) Yeah it has stretched. I germinated and prepared it in my windowsill, and there's not a lot of light this time of the year. But I'm waiting a few days to put the lamp on full blast (130w), as I don't wanna burn the seedling.
