Sown in root riot cube, little tap water and 23C battling RH around 50-60 😱 but it’s in a seedling dome. Small seedling that was sprouting upside down initially, split another root riot cube and put it inside right way up. Next day it sprouted with the seed shell and cotyledons. Been riding 22C in day with 55-60RH and 19C at night. VPD ranges 0.54-0.88 and PPFD 250 18/6
Been an ok week, put in clay pebbles and added a small amount of plain water to reservoir - it’s not touching yet as no roots are showing and have the pump on for air. As soon as roots show I’ll prepare a proper solution mix for the reservoir. Feeding now with pipette every now and then usually twice a day around 10ml with base nutes.
Been a steady week, filled reservoir with light solution of grow nutes only and waiting for roots to come down more.
In the next few days I’ll prepare a full solution (including beneficial bacteria) and fill the level higher so those roots come into contact with the water. I want them to stretch right now as the bubbles are popping into the bottom of the net pot.
She is staying quite short which is great as last grow I had stretched the seedling as light meter was calibrated incorrectly.
Another week and not much happened. Got the roots showing nice.
Further growth up top and more sets of leaves coming. Tight node spacing.
Prepared proper reservoir with grow nutes, bacteria and silicic acid.
Will flip to flower maybe in another week or two.
This week she grew a bit, staying low. Started to see signs of an issue. Lower leaves started to get a few brown spots and then turned a bit lighter, I think because I’ve been careful on the nutes she’s not getting enough food.
Changed the reservoir with bioponic grow a and b @ 2ml/l. EC around 0.9 and ph 5.8. Also added bactivator as usual.
Going to flip to flower in the next week latest. So I’ll slowly reduce the hours of light now each day so as not to get more stretch.
