Stawberry Gorilla Auto by FastBuds

Started this diary a bit late so i'll explain what's happened so far: I first germinated the seeds by putting them in a glass of water for 24hours in a food cabinet (in the dark). After this, i placed the 2 seeds on a damp kitchen paper towel on a plate. After another 24hours, the seeds were ready to be planted. I plant these auto flowering seeds straight into the final pot - because i don't intend to transplant these throughout the growth. After, 24hours in the soil - both seedlings started to push through the soil. From here, there's just a bit of watering to do, keep the soil moist for the beginning is what I do. From then until now, I've just been watering, no nutrients yet. I've also set up a small fan level with the plants. The fan is on all day. I do this to strengthen the plants right from the start. I'm now at the end of week 2. Leaves are big and healthy. I've just reached the "4th level" in the plants (if you count the sets of leaves along the main stalk) My set up: 2metre tent, 1m large. Using 2 different LED Lights from Mars Hydro. For the first couple of weeks of germination i use the SP150w light from mars hydro. When i flip to flower mode, I will change the light to the TS1000.

So far so good, the plants are growing nice. I've noticed that in my tent, the plant on the left always seems to grow bigger than the one on the right for some mysterious reason. Extra little detail: I've changed my grow light to the Mars Hydro TS1000.

These seeds from 420 buds just grow so fast! I haven't got much experience with many varieties due to what i can get my hands on...but 420 fast buds has never disappointed me. They grow fast, strong, healthy.... nothing to complain about really!!

I decided to give them one extra week of veg that I had planned for. Mainly because I thought I had set the light timer to 12hours, but I didn't change anything. The timer that I had changed was the timer on my air-filter that stays on 24/7. I probably had a bit too much to smoke that night.... Otherwise, what is there to say? I'm not a picky grower. When I grow a variety of seeds I've never tried before, I just let them do their thing... If I like the end result, I'll try them again and apply grow techniques such as LST or Topping,... But for now, I just prefer to let nature do its thing!

The little white pistils have started to appear, sign that the flowering stage has begun!!! yay! This being the first week of flowering, I removed the bottom leaves from both plants (as you can see in the last 2 pictures - bottom left and right). I do this to start prioritising the top half of the plant. We all know when in flower, the bottom part of the plants have little shoots/branches/leaves growing that don't receive much light but still demand energy. In order to save the plants energy and concentrate it to the important sections for me, is a must. I've raised my grow light to the top of the tent. This will give the plants the maximum space they need to stretch and flower. The smell has begun, it's faint, but it's started. I read that this strain will generate a strong smell so I've set up a carbon filter in the top right of the tent. So, far it's doing it's job. It's my first time using this carbon filter so I'm yet to see the results in the later stages of flowering. Fun extra little detail: the left plant is fairly bigger than it's sister on the right, as I've said before, it's mysterious. They both receive the same treatment, "born" at the same time, ... There just always is one plant bigger than the other .
