I germinated the seeds using the traditional paper towel method, and tap water, which I’ve had 100% success rate doing so far. All three seeds popped today, about 36 hours later and are being translated into 3 gallon pots as we speak I will include that growers choice has been amazing so far, not just customer service, but I received the seeds 3 days before expected delivery, which I see a lot of people mentioning. Very satisfied so far.

Grow Questions

Fungus gnats ruined my last grow and I just found one in my tent. I mixed food grade diatomaceous Earth in my soil just in case, but it looks like it didn’t work. I topped the soil with more and have a moving fan. Is there anything else I can do? I’m scared of another infestation

yeah it's important to do everything you possibly can to keep the fungus gnats away. during an infestation (i know you're not there yet) many folks have good results by watering with hydrogen peroxide 3% at 1/3 strength. What i prefer doing is using the biological method which is using beneficials for example beauveria bassiana and metarrhizium - these are micro organisms that attack the eggs and larvae of the gnats before they mature. this is a kind of preventative measure but you can also use it during outbreak. Beyond that, i would use loads of yellow sticky tape a various heights in the grow room and also on top of the pot of soil. and finally, (i do this too) make sure you cover every intake and seam of the grow tent or whatever space you have with micro mesh, the smallest you can find, to make sure contamination cant really get in passively and easily. Hope this helps ! let's fight and win the war on pests ! 🚀

Just from what others told when I started, they may be slow to grow because the pot size you started in is too big for a seedling . They'd establish quicker in the solo cup. Also make sure you don't overwater them. Just dampened the soil and wait until it dries out before watering again.

@MissCannabitch, I transplanted from a small cup to one bigger pot. As long as you are going from the same soil to the same soil the shock should be minimal. Also if these were truly auto flower seeds then starting in the final pot would be good but these plants are growing at the same pace as my photo plant. I think the smaller cup helps establish the roots better. I'm still a newbie at this though.

@Gteh420, I definitely don’t over water, I was actually under watering! IOne of the seedlings started to canoe, and the soil was dry, so I decided to give it double the water portions I’ve been using and this morning they seem much better. I’m so used to solos, and only watered 2 inches around the seedlings. I think the big pot messes with my perception, I’ve never planted in the end pot before! I’ve read a ton on Autos and a majority says transplanting Autos is Ill-advised due to possible transplant shock/stunted growth and supposedly Autos grow so fast, it’s pointless to transplant from all the comments I’ve read. That, of course, was referring to GOOD Autos, but it doesn’t seem to be the case with us 😂. I wanted to do everything right, but I think I’m definitely going to stick to solos, risking shock or not, I’m clearly not good at eyeing watering measurements!

@CRiSPrGrow, thank you so much. I’m running to the store first thing tomorrow morning to pick up any supplies I can find you listed to make sure those a**holes don’t kill my seedlings. I really appreciate it!!!

Following because I am growing the same strain from growers choice. Mine vegged for almost 7 weeks and never flowered on its own. I had to flip to 12/12. Im using 12/12 all the way through flower too because I have a photo plant in the same room I had to flower because these autos weren't. Curious to see what happens with yours.

@Gteh420, well honestly, it would work out perfectly because I have 3, 4 week old photos in the same tent. I was planning on building another tent to put them through flower and keep the Autos on 20/4, but if they have to go 12/12 to make them flower, I’ll just keep them together! So, fingers crossed believe it or not!

@MissCannabitch,i got two and a half but it took 12 weeks of flowering after a five week veg and it was still "all up" weed. She likes big pots 10 gal is the best for this one. see for yourself. To each her own 🚀

@CRiSPrGrow, the breeder says 2-3 weeks of Veg but either way, every grow I’ve followed who bought these exact seeds ended up only growing photos. Growers Choice says because “it has only 10% ruderalis” that they “may have to be flipped “ well, 90% of the time growers have to flip because of the shit job they did with the Autoflower breeding process. I’m not going to waste my time like all those other growers, especially after one dude vegged for 8 weeks and only ended with 1.5 ounces dried. He was an experienced grower with the exact same strain from the exact same breeder. Screw that. I looked up growers choice grows on reddit once some growers on here warned me about it. Wish I did that before I bought these.

what matters is what's in the grow room, and it's going great so far right?
