I germinated the seeds using the traditional paper towel method, and tap water, which I’ve had 100% success rate doing so far. All three seeds popped today, about 36 hours later and are being translated into 3 gallon pots as we speak I will include that growers choice has been amazing so far, not just customer service, but I received the seeds 3 days before expected delivery, which I see a lot of people mentioning. Very satisfied so far.

All 3 are doing well, but not growing as quick as I’d expect for autos. The two solo cup seedlings behind them were photos germinated 4 days after these but seem to be thriving more. They are mystery bag seeds from a shitty bag of weed, which makes me concerned that they seem to be doing better than a professional seed bank’s seeds.

Grow Questions

Fungus gnats ruined my last grow and I just found one in my tent. I mixed food grade diatomaceous Earth in my soil just in case, but it looks like it didn’t work. I topped the soil with more and have a moving fan. Is there anything else I can do? I’m scared of another infestation

yeah it's important to do everything you possibly can to keep the fungus gnats away. during an infestation (i know you're not there yet) many folks have good results by watering with hydrogen peroxide 3% at 1/3 strength. What i prefer doing is using the biological method which is using beneficials for example beauveria bassiana and metarrhizium - these are micro organisms that attack the eggs and larvae of the gnats before they mature. this is a kind of preventative measure but you can also use it during outbreak. Beyond that, i would use loads of yellow sticky tape a various heights in the grow room and also on top of the pot of soil. and finally, (i do this too) make sure you cover every intake and seam of the grow tent or whatever space you have with micro mesh, the smallest you can find, to make sure contamination cant really get in passively and easily. Hope this helps ! let's fight and win the war on pests ! 🚀

I found a fungus gnat earlier this week, so Instead of watering like I was (soil was dry about every day and a half) I waited an extra day or two to water, and treated the water with recommended dose of 3% hydrogen peroxide and topped the soil with food grade diatomaceous earth. I’m now watering around every 2-3 days now that the girls are no longer fragile seedlings (I sprayed watered the first week and a half). One of the girl’s under growth is twisting a bit, but other than that, they are growing like crazy! They are double the size of the mystery seedlings I mentioned last week, so they are definitely getting back on track. It’s so awesome to open the tent in the morning to see them noticeably bigger than the day before! So psyched. It turns out I also had a PH issue earlier, as my meter somehow got messed up shortly after last calibration, so PH is back on track (this May be why the growth was so slow at first)

I’m starting to get super busy at work so it’s getting harder to update! They are growing like crazy, and have slight signs of deficiencies but it’s most likely a PH issue. I have a strong feeling my calibration is super off, but it only came with a one time calibration buffer package, so I’m still waiting on the buffer packets to arrive. The package should get here early next week, and then hopefully no more nutrients issues!

So, I was completely right. Though the PH meter said to calibrate once a month, less than two weeks in and it was an entire point off. I watered with the correct PH two days ago and am already seeing a huge difference. I’m definitely investing in a self-calibrating meter when I have the cash. I just flipped my photos to 12/12 and am keeping them in the same tent, mainly because only one of the 3 (the largest plant) showed signs to be an Autoflower and so I’ve come to the “F This” approach and decided to flip them all together to save on power and to not inconvenience my upcoming planned grow. The seeds all germinated, were fairly priced, and as long as all three turn out to be female and the bud is good smoke, I’ll buy from growers choice again, but definitely not “Autoflowers”. I start nutrients next watering, but probably should have started before this since 2/3 are not Autos. All and all, things are looking up!

This website is glitching so bad. I’ve been trying to update this grow for 2 days now. They are all in Pre-flower and things are going well

work has been insanely busy, and I have unfortunately been neglecting the girls. They are showing signs of underwatering in the pics as I took the pictures RIGHT after watering after I saw signs of underwatering (once again, super busy) and pics are under LEDs due to Time and trellis net installation. Other than underwatering issues, everything is going well. My photoperiods should be ready to harvest in 3 weeks, and I’m germinating my new Autos for my next grow in a week (work should be dying down by then)

I’ve been pretty busy, harvested a plant I was growing before the ggs so there is more room in the space for the girls. They are doing fine, thickening more every day. The nutrient issues are becoming corrected. Not as frosty as my other unknown girl yet, but who knows 🤷‍♀️🏻 The one I suspected was the only Auto is definitely farther ahead of the other girls. I have a much bigger big planned grow as soon as I cut these girls so I’m happy with the progress!!!
