Back on the Diaries to share yet another experience! This one here is Rainbow Marker (RS-11 x Permanent Marker) from LIT Farms.
Wish me luck!!
2/8/25 Update..all 6 seeds did not germinate!! I have not had something like that ever happen where the whole seed pack did not germinate. I contacted the seedbank HeritageSeedBank and right away they have replaced them, they also included 12 freebies. I’m excited to see what freebies they have sent!
Not a good first experience with the seeds but customer service was exceptional. I hope these replacement seeds are viable and sprout.
2/12/25 UPDATE!..Received replacement seeds on Monday Feb 10th, placed them in moist paper towel and they germinated the next day. Sowed them in soil today Wednesday Feb 12 so now we should be good to grow!
All new seeds germinated and seedlings are doing well. Not sure if I’ll be keeping them all or maybe cloning, not sure yet since my plan was to keep two of each. I could do 6 two of each strain in either 5gal pots or 3gal pots!
Glad these replacement seeds are growing fine and looking quite healthy, I’m excited to see the final product of this strain. Also thinking of keeping some clones so I don’t miss out on a good pheno since it has been the case for the past year on several strains smh! Have a lot going in the grow room lately so I’m not too sure it will happen lol.
Been thinking of trying the Autopot system so since I had to transplant the plants I decided to stop at the grow shop and pick up a 4 x 3.9 gallon pot Autopot system. Also switched from soil to 60% coco - 40% perlite, mixed several tbsp of Great White mycorrhizae powder in the substrate prior to filling pots. Not sure what to do with the other plant still in the solo cup. Want to keep a mother for clones but currently have a mother Super Cherry Buff I want to focus on.
Left the reservoir closed for 3 days and opened it back up today 3/13/25, I will be leaving it open from now on.
They are growing rapidly and healthy so I might start removing some large fan leaves soon.
Forgot to add some cal mag but I believe because the water is hard well water, it provides enough calcium and magnesium for now.
Did some defoliation and a couple days later topped one of the plants not only for more bud sites but mainly because it was growing taller.
Cleaned and mixed fresh nutrients into the reservoir as well as left the feeding line opened after top feeding.
Took the topped cutting dipped it in Clonex Gel and placed it in the cloner, incase I keep it for future use.
Put them through a lot this week, but they seem to take it well and continue growing. Did some LST using the LST clips to cold down the stem to continue weaving through the net as they grow.
Will add another layer of netting right before flowering which I’m planning to flip by next week. Loving these Autopots I have to say they are working well and the plants love it. Have to see how often I will be cleaning and refilling the reservoir in mid flowering.
Flipped to flowering on Monday March 31 2025, and they are looking pretty happy. Switched to flowering nutes mid week, will add second layer of net soon before the stretch is done. The Autopot system seem to be giving the plants a growth boost compared to hand watering.
Looking great so far!! Im Curious to see how these autopots pan out for ur first run. Been tempted to grab this 4x set .. and the strains a added bonus to watch! Best of luck with it !!
@Grow4Releaf, thank you 🙏 blessings and luck your way as well, was curious about them myself specially the ease of not having to mix up nutrients, PH and hand water every two or three days! Can’t say I recommend them yet but so far they working well.
