Gummi_Ingo alright, the clones were made back in november from flowering plants. Not ideal, but the first batch died. They had to be re-vegged with 22 hours of light under a crappy cheap LED lamp. They have now recovered nicely in the new pots with a top layer of coco. They also accept the nutrient solution nicely, means the roots are healthy. One more week and I will switch to flower.

Gummi_Ingo plants have gotten bigger. I bent some of the branches to create an even canopy. Today I switched to 12/12. I expect them to triple in height over the next 4 weeks.

can anyone recommend a drip watering system for my setyp? Watering gets tedious and I plan to be on vacations in spring. Anyone using the Jardibric or Gardena system?

Jardibric looks more like for the garden like the most gardena systems Gardena got auto dripping sets for "holidays" which looks pretts solid for grows. Blumat is a well known system and not that expensive like Gardena with a lot of diffrent sets Autopots works bit diffrent, but is also a well known system

The obvious choice is Atami Wilma system. Great as long as the plants don't get too big as they sit on the reservoir. I don't remember there being that many drip systems. They are really simple to make if you're that way inclined.

I can vouch for Netafim Halos as emitters. Keep it simple. You might be able to pinch a few pennies grabbing a small aquarium pump and designing your own. Automating it will be as simple as timer of choice and a few runs of volume versus time relative to your pot sizes. Have fun with it.

Gummi_Ingo 1 week after flipping to 12/12. Lamp running at full power with a 1 hour sunrise and sunset gradient from 0-100% and vice versa. The have grown a lot. At the end of this week, I will defoliate. Then I will wait for flower tops to appear, which happened end of week 3 in the previous grow. Then I will clear out the lower branches. I dont plan on using the net this time. I want nice long sativa tops. Lets hope they dont grow into the lamp. I still have about 40 cm of space upwards. I keep the lamp a little closer to the tops now, to keep them from stretching too much. Once they slow down a bit, the lamp moves upward.

Gummi_Ingo They have grown and stretched a lot this week. The Tangie clones (the "sativa" pheno 2 from the previous grow only) made lots of side branches. After feeding tap water straight for 2 days, I cleared out the bottom half of the plants. I really want them to focus all flowering on the top buds. Each plant has now about 3-5 tops. They were given water one more time. Then I will switch to flowering phase fertilizer, starting low. Plants seem happy, no bugs, no deficiencies.

Gummi_Ingo 3 weeks after flipping. Lots of flowers. They stretched a bit too much, I should have flipped a week before. I can move the lamps up another 10-15 cm. But not yet, I keep them lower and hope that this keeps the plants from stretching. I will raise the lamps later. A lot of the bud sites are shaded by large fan leaves. Should I remove those leaves already? Let me know. *update* I just removed a few handful of fan leaves. Mostly those pointing inwards and those shading bud sites. thanks to everyone for the replies to my grow questions

A few comments I found online... Take from it what you will I don’t know how to say this…. But fuck fan leaves. I’ve found you can grow bigger, denser buds throughout the plant with removing them, heavily, multiple times throughout the grow. It helps airflow get through, reduces chance of mold and the plants are happy as fuck. I suppose if you have 3000 plants though, then fuck fucking the fan leaves, but for a 4x4 it pays dividends. I agree with this. I remove any large fan leaf that prevents light from reaching lower buds, especially when heavily in flower, and it helps with preventing mould. Science indicates that it’s mostly only nitrogen that is mobile between these leaves and the rest of the plant. That’s why they go yellow. I agree, I defoliate fan leaves heavily after the final stretch and throughout the flower cycle. Super beneficial in veg to leave them but in flower I have seen no benefit in leaving them in my own personal experience. Everyone’s style or grow tek varies though as well as growing conditions so what works for me may not work for someone else.

Gummi_Ingo 4 weeks have passed since flipping. They stopped stretching, there is no more space anyway. Removed some fan leaves here and there. Smell and resin are picking up. I hope for more bud formation still.

Gummi_Ingo 5 weeks since flipping. Things going fine, the tips dont burn despite being close to the lamps. Lots of resin already, especially the tangie. I will reduce the Bio-Grow fertilizer a bit now and increase bloom complex and test small doses of PK13/14.

Gummi_Ingo Check out the video! 7 weeks of flowering have passed. Tops are getting really heavy, I might have to buy bamboo support sticks soon. Resin production is insane as you can see. There was mold in one of the head buds and I had to remove a golfball-sized chunk. Some insect made its way in, died there and started rotting. I struggle to keep the humidity down and now I am watering every second day only. And i bought a third fan (typhoon) that blows warm air from the ceiling above the lamp back onto the tops. wish me luck for the last 4 weeks

Gummi_Ingo 8 Weeks of flowering are over. They are getting fatter. This time they seem to mature earlier. I already stopped giving bloom complex. I only give them pH adjusted water now with a moderate dose of PK13-14. I aim for 10-11 weeks this time, depending on what the trichomes look like.

Gummi_Ingo 11 weeks of flower have finished. Trichomes look good, still a few clear ones on the Amnesia, but also amber already. Tangie had milky and 20% or so amber... Those are the last pictures. They were harvested on 4/20. I love these two strains and highly recommend them. But now, there will be summer break and in autumn I start with other strains.

I will update in 3 weeks when they are cured Amnesia grows fast, good yield and flower to leaf ratio. They stretched a bit more than expected, but it worked fin in the SOG grow. The lower buds are a little less developed of course., Aroma of the fresh plant is strong, citric pungent Limoncello scent with some spicy fresh skuff notes. Awesome. Plants are easy going, but need lots of feeding and frequent defoliation. I had two tops with mold probably due to insects. I removed it and it did not spread. Good healthy genetics, but I only had one seed and made clones.

I will update in 3 weeks when they are cured Tropical Tangie grows easy, I recommend doing a clone selection of 2-3 plants and pick the "hairy pheno" (more sativa). That one does not have the orange peel smell, but fantastic yield, flower to leaf ratio and a similar stretch and flowering time to the Amnesia Haze. If you want to see the leafy compact pheno, check my older grow. Aroma of the fresh plant is musky, sweet, pungent and spicy. Plants are easy going, but need lots of defoliation. Zero mold issues, branches are a bit too thin in the end to support heavy buds.

Happy harvest 🌲👍✌️

@KBrox, i use spring loaded trimming scissors, still sufficient for my scale. If I had a bigger tent or more, I would consider something more advanced.

@Gummi_Ingo, Haha, yes, first you take loving care of the ladies and then you cut them, I know what you mean. But the hours of work can be significantly reduced with a good bud leaf trimmer.

@KBrox, thanks, I dont actually like the harvest part. Always feels sad to cut them. And then its hours of work with sticky fingers. 😂

thank you all for the replies. I would prefer to keep my root pots and not buy an entire new system. I will try to build my own, lets see what the shops here have.
