Hi Guys and welcome!!
It’s time to set up another run 🌱🤘
Quite impressed with Square One Genetics & Robin Hood Seeds, specially with the ultimate frost producer Banana Butter Cups🍌❄️
The basic soil mix at the beginning will be 75% BioBizz Light Mix and 25% worm castings. For activation the 1.5 liter pot got watered in some days ago with Greenhouse Feeding Enhancer, Rootwise complete, BuiltASoil Aloe Vera leaf powder and SF-nematodes. For evenly moisten the substrate the wetting agent FreeFlow from BioNova was used to spread the moisture in the entire pot. This base should give them a good start.
Soaking the seeds for 24 hours in a glass of water and after that into the paper tissue. Germination in an thermo box with an heating mat at approx. 22 degrees C. Later Rootwise will be applied with the sprouted seeds during planting.
Will mix within the coming week a Living Soil, but more on this later with the next update.
Take care and stay tuned💚🌱
All three seeds germinated within 48 hours. Start counting the days when they were planted into the soil.
Week 1 - day 4 after the sprouted seeds were planted into their containers. They have received 24 hours of light the first three days and light duration was reduced to 20 hours one day ago. Not watered until now, probably they will need some water within next 1-2 days.
VPD: 0.6-0.7
Light intensity: 290-300 PPFD
Living Soil:
As promised last week will post some info on the planned living soil mix. It’s also a complete new experience for me on this true living soil. Following the hype which is going on here in Europe at the moment😄 Love to experiment with different type of soils and have already tried a lot!! Few of this ingredients were already used in the past, but never this style based on the BuiltASoil way! Few ingredients are not part of this original recipe, but added those as well based on former experiences.
Ingredients: (all strictly organic, most from Almicanna Spain)
Nutrients:
Kelp, Alfalfa meal and pellets, fish meal, insects frass, crustaceans meal, neem cake, malted barley, bat guano, camelina meal, soy meal and bokashi, hyd. kelp, biochar, compost and worm castings
Minerals:
Basalt, Azomite, gypsum, oyster shells, algae lime and very small amount of epsom salt.
Aeration:
Rice husks, pumice and perlite
Soil base:
50% BioBizz Light Mix & 50% Plagron ProMix
Total mix 105 liters (28 gal). The ratios are based on the lower recommendations by BuiltASoil. It’s seems to be a lot, but every nutrient was added in a small amount. Can always add more later with topdressing.
The complete mix was watered with 5% of total soil amount. Water with added Rootwise Complete, BuiltASoil Aloe Vera and coconut powder, Enhancer, SF-Nematodes and wetting agent FreeFlow. Soil mix will sit the next 10-14 days in tanks and will be tilled every few days. It got pretty warm within the first days and already came alive the last two days. Mycelium is showing up everywhere on the soil surface. Pretty good sign! Compost worms will be added once the mix cooled down again to a moderate temperature level.
Later on will also establish a mulch layer on the top of the fabric pot.
Quite curious on this experiment and cannot wait planting the ladies into this natural environment. Let’s see!! :)
Mixed a Living Soil for a friend some weeks ago and seems to be working pretty good, so I’m confident for this run 😃 See the last picture, if you’re interested.
Okay that’s enough for today…way to much! Thank you if you was reading all the way down here ✌️
Stay tuned 💚🌱
Hey guys, it's time for another status update 🌱🍒🍌
Exactly 14 days after germination was started - end of week 2.
The plants looking healthy and developing great. 4 days ago they've received filtered water with a mix of coconut water powder, Rootwise Complete and Aloe Vera leaf powder. Today watered again including a small dose of Horsetail plant extract. PH at 6.3, like to ph the water in this early stage with organic apple vinegar. This will also add some additional enzymes to the soil.
VPD: 0.8-0.9
Light intensity: 290-320 PPFD
Planning to fill within next days the three 35 liter (approx. 10 gal) fabric pots with the living soil and add a mulch layer with cover crops. The soil smells pretty good like a forest. Added some days ago a few compost worms to each of the containers. If everything goes well the ladies will be transplanted next weekend. In the meantime will get the cover crops sprouted.
Living soil details:
PH: 6.6-6.8
Fertility: 2-4
Temperature: 20 degrees C (68 Fahrenheit)
That's all for today :)
Stay tuned for the next update 🌱🤘
Thanks a lot!
Yeah this seeds are hard to get a pack. They‘re sold out immediately once are back in stock🙈
One day you will get a pack of these! For sure!!
Einfach unschlagbar was THC-Titan hier produziert!
