This is my first real attempt at autoflowers. So here my game plan.
1) make sure I'm quick about my re-pots.
2) be quick about my cal-mag
3) try to enjoy this process.
Updates will be every week or twice a week.
Update! She cracked her shell in 2 days, turned vertical on day 3, and started stacking on day 4. I better buckle down and plan ahead, this thing is zoomin'
It's been a tough few weeks for my diaries. My Volvo sprung a bad oil leak causing me to have to do a motor rebuild. All new seals, etc. So I havnt had much time to take or post picture. But here she is going on week 4. Very happy that I dont have to manage a light schedule.
Shes getting bigger, stouter. Going in for a defoliation in the next couple of days. Free up some more light for her. She is officially under HPS now too. Going to move quickly I believe.
I'm not really sure why I'm getting calmag issues along with nitrogen. I use calmag plus. I guess shes eating more than I thought. I'm going to close to double her nutrients for this last month of growth. Fingers crossed I can get this calmag under control
So last week was about calmag. This week is about pH fluctuations and how it affects you. My pH has been in range the entire time. A tad low here and there, but in acceptable range. Fluctuations can have the same effect as too low or too high. This plant has seen 6.3-6.8 throughout but not consistently the same. Thanks fox farms! Also, flush mid flower to help curb ph fluctuations
After some struggles with ph imbalance she came through strong. All sugar leaves became frosty again. And for the root ball size, she produced pretty good.
These auto fought me the whole time. But I'm going to figure this out. I have 2 more of this and WCOG to run after my next photo run. Hell, I may run them on 12/12 with my photos. Either way the harvest was mediocre. But the quality if straight fire. It's hard to explain, but like wild berries with a slight menthol taste. Granted it's a post dry taste test. I'll give it a few weeks in the jar and update.
@Denzul, yea man. Shes looking good and smells like grape laffy taffy. I cant wait to try her. 2 beans going in again after my next photo run. I run autos while vegging my big photo plants
That's interesting about the PH causing problems with such small variances. Rain water will vary that much. Want to see how this turns out. I know I dont get PH but within ballpark just as you are doing 6.0-6.8 since I use dyes. Curious
I was looking at your nuets over time, from my grow I could see the LSD loves its water but will really complain when the nuets get higher than they like (not high). Next time I grow the strain which will be soon, I will go only 1/3 str on any nuets except Recharge, love that stuff.
Your experiences?
@GreenrPastures,
It is difficult to get pics to do justice to this strain. I just noticed they would show signs of a bit too much nitrogen when the other was fine or calling for more. Maybe that they are sensitive to salts is why they like their water... hmmm.
@rhodes68, one of the contributing factors to this lockout was really salt build up on the roots. From my experience it almost calluses the roots. Which will permeate water, but reduces nutrient uptake. It also plummets your pH on runoff. In combination its put a hurting on this plant. The growth hasnt stopped, but she used every bit of her reserves over the week while I got the soil zone back right. Ita getting flushed for final flower very soon, so she should make it out ok.
As far as LSD-25, I've mixed the same nutes as West Coast OG. Fox farms recommended schedule, every other watering. The pictures honestly dont do the bud girth any justice. I expect a minimum of 2oz off of this little thing. I'm honestly stunned by autos.
Some beautiful dark purple on those buds. Just picked some of these ladies up hoping for that exact color. Great work. Good luck with the rest of your grow. Grow on.
