Starting with Canna nutes in a solo cup at 1.1ec, will switch to Athena pro line at 1.5ec the whole way once transplanted and autopot gets turned on. Never tried that before but it has good values when plugged into hydrobuddy at that ec, I know Athena recommend 3ec the whole way but thats because they can control fertigation events, with autopot the plant will be the switch for feeding so a lower ec should work while still getting some nice ec stacking in the medium.
This was a super fast rooter. Within 5 days the taproot hit the bottom of the solo so I transplanted it, last time it took about 8 days, looks like no shock was suffered.
Ok you will all judge me and I know it goes against everything your meant to do but I turned the autopot on 24 hours after transplanting and hand watering in with 1.5 liters of 1.5ec Athena Pro Grow/Core/Cleanse. I then filled the res with the same mix and turned it on, as well as the airdome. I am doing this because I think autoflowers need to maximise their potential early on as they have limited veg time, the recommendations made by autopot are for regular photoperiod plants not autoflowers. I think the substrate will have no issue wicking the water to the roots and the roots will quickly realize to go down towards the oxygen rich water table.
I am also running 25 DLI which is on the high side and 55% humidity which is on the low side, this baby will either take off like a monster or crash and burn fast. (or drown and burn lol) Its ok either way I can start again if needed.
