Borberad Epic Buzz Auto – The Epic Self-Experiment
Welcome to another chapter of botanical madness! This time we've brought a real powerhouse into the grow tent: Epic Buzz Auto from Anesia Seeds. Just the name sounds promising – epic buzz, auto-flowering, minimal effort? Sounds almost too good to be true. But we wouldn't be us if we didn't put that to the test!
With a hefty THC content that is supposed to send even experienced smokers into a blissful trance, and a genetic mix of pure potency and speed, this strain promises the best of both worlds: quick harvest and maximum enjoyment. But how does it perform in cultivation? Is it really as straightforward as claimed? And most importantly: Will we even be able to finish this diary with all the buzz at the end?

We're starting this grow with a 1% hydrogen peroxide solution for about 20 hours. We chose the particularly dark-seeming seed from the five. After that, it goes directly into the prepared coconut soil nest of about 200ml in the 20l fabric pot where Ms. Buzz will stay until harvest.
On day 0.4, the little one peeked out of the coconut (unfortunately, the photo was deleted), and by day 0.6, we believed the germination was largely complete.

So far, everything looks good, but she seems to be getting a bit light. We're still waiting with the first fertilizer application since she's really still small. Day 5 and she's already getting 2.5 ml of Hesi TNT; she wants to know what's up and is really pushing it.

To prevent them from becoming too compact, the little plant is at about 20 DLI light output.
For a few days now, we've added self-watering to our fabric pots. (See photo)
Just added a wick to the existing grid in the saucer, so now it can be watered from the bottom without the flower sitting in water. However, if possible, only pure water should be supplied from below. Somehow the wicks seem to get salty and then don't work properly anymore.

Borberad The week starts off relaxed. The little one is growing well and showing no signs of stress or deficiencies! By the end of the week, the first signs of flowering are appearing, so we're switching to Hesi Bloom instead of TNT.

Borberad The flowering is showing through the first small pre-flowers in the leaf axils. We're already watering with bloom fertilizer. And we're not training just yet.

Borberad Last week no nutrients, just osmosis water.
Borberad It's coming to an end. But it just won't form any amber trichomes. So it stays put. 🤷♂️
On day 84, we did a partial harvest and switched the lighting to 12 hours, as we're not sure if the trichomes will even change color anymore. To evaluate that, about half will stay put.
Sehr lila geworden die Gute. Hatten eher mit einer grünen Dame gerechnet aber so ist auch gut. Der Duft zu Ende der Blüte war erdig fruchtig ein seltsamer misch aber recht angenehm. Auch sind gegen Ende der. Lüte noch die Trichome Bernstein geworden also wieder was gelernt. Beim nächsten Grow von lila sorten stehen lassen bis der Farb-Wechsel kommt.

Borberad That stands. Letting some of us do it for testing purposes was a good decision. This way, we were able to determine that the color change in the trichomes does indeed occur.
