no issues so far, plants started to develop faster.
Started with light feed.
Hulkberry on the back was planted like 3 days earlier than the gelatos on the front.. you can see the difference on 1st pic.
Plants growing fast, I installed the SCROG but dont like it, is too lose.
Probably next week will switch to flower once they reach the net and I can bend them under it.
Almost ready to start flowering. I will finish the week just to finish covering the scrog area.
All plants seem good, just had a little accident with one, I broke the main stem in 2, but put some tape and is almost fine now
Finally started to flower. I will get the branches into the net in the next couple of days when they start to stretch.
Plants seem very healthy a without any nutrient deficiency.
Plants started to form flowers, there is a difference between the Gelatos and Hulkberries, the hulks are getting bigger while the gelatos got bushy.
Did some cleaning during the week, branches that were to far from net are gone..
Looking forward for the coming weeks.
plants are stretching, the gelatos took longer to keep up with the hulk berries.
Gelatos have bigger fatter leafs while hulkberries are thinner smaller ones, Gelatos have darker green .. both start to look tasty!!!
I will bring the lamp down to 50 cm during the week.
This week was great, we are almost halfway trough flowering.
Plants are forming buds nicely, more and more water is needed. I'm watering them once every 2 days.
The weather is changing so temperature is getting a bit hot, hopefully they will finish before the summer heat starts.
The hulkberries in the back stretched a lot during last couple of days, they look like they will become big fat buds.
Mid week update
Buds are filling fast, need to increase the frequency for watering.
Smell is starting to come out. :D
Almost half way trough flowering...
I feed both strains the same, but starting noticing some burned tips on the Hulkberries. I will make a lighter mix for them.
cleaned all big fan leafs specially those blocking the light down, since I didn't gave too much time to veg and get more buds, I want light to penetrate to lower part so buds finish evenly.
I'm starting to have issue with humidity in the night is going up to 72%.. I'm watering more often because temperature is higher and plants are thirsty as hell...will have to keep an eye on this.
Those Hulkberries buds in the back are 45cm long... :D
buds are great, just getting bigger everyday.
I was able to control the tip burn by diluting the fertilizers with extra water for the Hulkberries.
Overall they seem very healthy, I just still have too high humidity, I left lots of space between buds to allow air circulation, hopefully will not get bud rot.
Not easy to ta
Buds are really getting heavy... I may need to start helping them with weight soon, I think about adding bamboo sticks.. I'm tired of the yoyo things.
Regarding humidity, I already have a 355m³/h as extraction but since the place were I live is very humid and this spring rains are not helping, I added an 145m³/h as air intake today. Just after couple of hours humidity went from 60% to 50%.. which is good enough I think.
Only this more week of ferts, then I'll use Ripen for 8 days... and then 8-10 days only with water.
Buds are looking great, still no signs of bud rot :)
I've been trying to keep humidity under control but every time I water, next night will reach 67-68%. I took a couple of measures but would have been simpler to get a dehumidifier
good thing is that I left lot of space between colas for airflow (I had bud rot in that area last time).
I'm allowing the plants to get dry and humidity to come close to 40% before watering again.
This will be the last week of fertilizers any way. Will add some ripen maybe 1 or 2 times during the week and then just plain water.
Finally we arrive to last week, plants seem very healthy, no signs of budrot. I think apart from my humidity issue which is under control now, it all went well, didn't have any insects or deficiencies.
Temperature outside is going up really fast so inside my tent is already hitting the 31c at peak time and I grow during night time.
I will feed a light dose of florakleen on next water and just water at least 2 times more with plain water before harvest, so I may extend this week a little bit.
Finally at the end... 3 days of darkness and will harvest.
Amazing buds, really good smell, can't wait to see the final result.
I'm still not sure if I will dry or manicure first, will see how much time I have this week.
Very nice strain to grow, will definitly give it another try this time completely organic to compare the taste.
Very good production for those plants size. A bit sensitive with the feeding
Very good harvest for a short veg time, was also my first time with this strain. I will definitely do another round.
Amazing smell dense buds, I already smoked some, still not properly cured, but nice already
I bought a 360m³/h-vent and I got 50% on rainy days with that homebox. If you're still worried about mold I really can advice an upgrade if the humidity outside your tent is fine.
@FoxyT, indeed is not working as expected, yesterday night, it had 70% humidity, so I set the extraction to max all time and started the fans during night period one hour 1on 1off... its been raining for 2 days in here so this is not helping at all :(
I have a tip for you. A home made de humidifier.
As we buy de humidifier on market, it's 150g of Calcium Chloride. You may find 1kg of it for low price and make your own! It's cheap and very useful. Force the air to pass thru, taking care not to dissipate it over the room. Put some filter on, and you'll make the humidity disappear. It might take the odor as a filter would do.
How about this Rippener from gh, do you feel it's a game changing on terpene and resin production?
@Psilocubensis, Hi, thanks for the tip, never heard of that, will check it out.
Regarding Ripen, I'm not sure about the terpenes, but definitely more resin, also in this case I don't want to go longer than 9 weeks, so Ripen is good to send signal to plants to finish, so you can control a bit more the harvest time.
Some absolutely beautiful ladies you got there. Really nice work. Lots of good high quality tops. Keep doing what your doing and beat of luck with the rest of the grow.
@FoxyT, Actually the photos were taken a day plants were very dry, leafs were down and after watering I took the pictures but thanks for your advice I'm still playing with the frequency and quantity for watering.
I lowered my 630w LEC to 55 cm now and buds are getting fatter. Will make some pictures next week.
