Start of season 2025 grow 1/6 20.03.2025 - Seeds were germinated using the paper towel in zip lock bag method with addition of small amount of mycorhyzae to each seed. 23.03.2025 - Seeds were transported in to the 250ml starting pots. Using Canna Terra seed mix and a sprinkle of myco in each seed hole in the pot. 24.03.2025 - bad weather outside. Lot of rain and not much of sunlight. The temperature wasn't too bad.

26.03.2025 - D1 Veg. - the plants spent the whole day in their humidity dome on the sun, when it decided to show up. Each got watered with sprinkler to keep the soil moist and the overall humidity up. - temps throughout the day are pretty good I think. For the nights I bring them to a shed and cover them with a blanket, to keep the temperature up. - so far this plant is still the smallest but still looking good. 27.03.2025 - D2 veg. - today the temps kept getting lover. The max temperature throughout the day was 12°C. Not much sun either and the forecast doesn't look promising. I decided to order some cheap supplemental lights and a heat mat to help the seedlings along. Hope it arrives fast. - I have also prepared the place the girls will be growing at. I learned from last year's grow that the place is a slight slope and the roots in the pots weren't as evenly filled as would be ideal. So I have leveled the area with some dirt I found lying around. I'm thinking about compacting it and bringing a layer of sand on top of it. - During the work I have also noticed a seedling that sprouted from last year's grow. I decided to keep it around for now as a sort of gauge to the ones I'm growing this season. It will be culled before flower as I don't know what strain it is and if it was pollinated by a wild male plant or a herm seed. I'm just interested in having something to compare the current seedling to. - I have also checked an old place where I was growing some bag seed plants 2 and 3 years ago and found another 3 seedlings there. Pretty crazy since they have to survive thru 2 or 3 winters before deciding to come out. Last year I had to remove around 200 seedlings from this area since the last grow there was total failure that resulted in hundreds of seeds falling to the soil. I'm surprised there are still some coming out this year and I will have to make sure to check on the spot to remove any that could come up. These 3 are staying for now as another samples to compare the current seedlings to. 28.03.2025 - D3 veg. - the temps today were higher and the overal weather was nicer than the previous day. Still not totally ideal tho. - the plants seems to be doing okaish. No drooping, falling over discoloration on the leaves or vilting. The growth seems slowed down tho due to the weather. - still waiting for the heat mat and the supplemental lights. - also I have found another 3 seedlings in the old spot on the garden. This time I have culled then immediately. - As I've got high during yesterday's evening I have nerded out at the possibility of purchasing/building a greenhouse for my babies. It is something that's been on the back of my mind couple of years now. I went researching and found out I can have an automated 4x3 (12m²) greenhouse for about 2.000€. Now to just save that money 🤑 29.03.2025 - D4 veg. - Low temps, no sun and rain the whole day - killed another seedlings from the old spot 30.03.2025 - D5 veg. - weather was better than previous day. No rain and occasional sun. 31.03.2025 - D6 veg. - weather today was a rollercoaster. 20 minutes of sun followed by 20 minutes of rain all day long. The girls seemed to soldier through it. - I have a concern about the pots not drying up for several days now. It will be close to a 4 or 5 days since I watered them and there seems to be almost no dry back happening. It's possible I have over watered them a little and the weather doesn't help. - Good news is my package arrived today. - I got the cheapest led lights. I'm kinda worried if these will help at all since the only available colours are blue, red and purple. I've set mine at max intensity on blue. If I should set them to purple let me know. - I also got the heating mat, that went under the humidity dome. I left the girls just in the tray overnight without the dome in hopes of inducing more dry back. - What I'm maybe most excited about is, that I've also completed my nutrients for this grow. The backbone will be the organics line by Green House feeding. It's my first time using dry amendments but from what I've seen and heard I should have nothing to worry about and plenty to look out for 🤞. Supporting the grow will also be a CalMag and sillica supplements by Plagron. This is also my first time using more nutrients than just grow and bloom by Plagron or Biobizz and I'm interested to see how the CalMag and sillica will work. I also grabbed me some ph up and down from Biobizz since I either did not find/recognize the Plagron one or went with cheaper option. And finally, since my last three grows were battling with pests, I decided that, this year I will get serious about pest management. Since I'm growing outdoors, this is a uphill battle for sure. That's why I went for IPW from Athena and will start to religiously follow (seriously guys, hold me on to this one. The little fuckers here ain't no joke) the preventive treatment right away when the girls go to their final pots. I will also get a neem oil to switch out with the IPW as to cover multiple bases. If you guys have some tips for pest prevention and control I'm all ears. 01.04.2025 - D7 veg. - the girls spent the whole day in the shed on the heat mat and under lights - still not much dry back

02.04.2025 - D8 veg. - the girls again spent the whole day on the heat mat under the lights. It looks like they are doing okay with the light I'm using. Still thinking if just blue is okay or I should switch to the purple. - no watering as the pots still feel heavy and the soil is moist to touch. Not super damp but still moist. Seems like the girls started to drink again. We will see. I just hope their little roots aren't roting. 03.04.2025 - D9 veg. - today was a nice weather the whole day. Clear skies all day. I kinda regret not placing the girls outside in the morning before leaving to work. But they did get at least 3 hours of it in the afternoon when I came home. And they clearly loved it. 04.04.2025 - D10 veg. - today was another sunny day. Clear skies all day and nice temperature. - the girls spent the whole day on the sun (6:20am - 6-20pm) and will spent another 6 hours under the lamp. - I have decided to switch the lights to the purple option on max brightness. We will se how the plants respond. - today was also a watering day as the pots finally dried up. Each plant got misted on the soil with aprox. 50ml of plain water. No nutes for now. - I've finally had the time to also check on the Phoenix plant from last year's grow. She's still alive and rocking. The same cannot be said about the other two phoenixes from the old grow space. They have been culed by family member during their landscaping and garden upkeep. Not a big deal as they were always destined for the reaper. I have also killed another 2 seedlings that got missed during the landscape. That's over 10 seedlings from a place where no plant was grown for 2 years now. Resilient little buggers 🤣 05.04.2025 - D11 veg. - sunny day again today. The girls spend 12 hours on the sun, then 6 hours under lights and finally 6 hours in the dark. 06.04.2025 - D12 veg. - big drop in temperature today. Today's max. was around 5°C. - the girls spent the whole day inside the shed on the heat mat and under lights. I also switched the light to the purple one. - the second set of leaves is clearly visible now. 07.04.2025 - D13 veg. - The cold weather continues. The forecast doesn't look promising for the rest of the week. - The girls will probably spend the week inside the shed on the heat mat and under the lights. This way I can keep the temp. atleast around 16°C. - For next year I need to figure a better way to keep better conditions for the seedlings and early veg. As it is clear, that the temperatures are low and slowing the growth and the cheap lights are barely holding it up. - but hey! The girls are alive and growing albeit slowly. Patience is the name of the game. 08.04.2025 - D14 veg. - so something happened to my girl. In the morning when I was switching the light on, she was ok. In the afternoon when I checked on her, she has lost one cotyledon and one of her true leaves. I think it was a mice. Now I hope that she will be able to pull through it. - the weather continues to be cold. Later in the afternoon it was warmer and the sun was shining so I placed the girls outside for approx. 2 hours. - today I also gave them a couple sprays of plain rain water. - today was also a shopping day. I decided to transplant the girls to 1,2L pots so I bought some. I also bought a Neem oil, air pump and stone for compost tea brewing and a 2m high alluminium poles to use as stakes for my trelis and a place I can tie a rain cover to if needed. - next week I plan to perform the transplant and start with a light feeding of nutes. And I will also finish the preparation of the grow space.

09.04.2025 - D15 veg. - TRANSPLANT DAY - so today was a productive day. - I checked the Phoenix plant from last year grow and she's still here even after couple of days where frost hit. Something has taken some bites out of her but nothing major so far. - I have also set up the poles for my trellis net and rain cover. Since it is all just seasonal, I didn't really bother trying to align it all perfectly. What I tried to do, was to make sure there is at least a little slope to the front, so the water can run off from the top of the cover and not pool in there and risk collapsing it all. So far I'm satisfied with it and will tweak it as needed when it starts to get used. - lastly, I have also decided to transplant the girls in to 1.2L pots. First I enlarged the drain holes on the bottom of the cup. I filled the pots with Biobizz light mix and sprinkled some mycorrhizae in the hole and directly on the roots. After putting them in the new soil I watered with rain water amended with 0.2ml/1L of CalMag, 0.4ml/1L of sillica and 0.4g/1L of BioEnhacer until a little bit of run off to ensure thorough saturation of the pots. - there was still a room to grow in the small pots and I could have waited with the transplant for another week I think, but I believe, they will adapt quickly and love the bigger size pots. - the roots looked healthy and by the size of them, they were the most developed ones I think together with the Royal gorrila.

@love_2_grow, Hi man 👋 thanks for checking in. I looked at the grow you did of the auto (and many others and you got it good man, thanks for being an inspiration for others) and by the photos I saw there, I can't wait to see what I'm able to do with her if the outdoor gods here will bless me with nice season.
