Gundermann For now the girls are sharing their tent with some tomato and pepper seedlings. Those pesky invaders will leave as soon as outdoor temperatures stabilize a bit more. I am using the Grow Mix by Floragard for soil.

Gundermann The tomato plants grew too big and had to leave, so now the girls got their tent for themselves again. I think about starting some LST soon. Up until now i just did some light watering in response to the condition of the soil. I am probably starting proper watering during next week.

Gundermann The girls got their first real waterings with tds and ph controlled tap water (6.2-6.3 pH, 19-21°C, 300-320ppm). pH needed to be reduced with some pH-, yet I managed to slightly undershoot my target of 6.5. Also the LST has begun, so far both respond great to it. For now i just usw some hooks to weigh each stem down.

Gundermann The Girls are doing pretty well so far. They reacted great to LST and grow substantially each day. Therefore I should soon be able to use the scrog net to support plant training. I am uncertain whether I should defoliate them at this point (or ever). Also the Apricot has suffered some tiny yellow tips on several leaves and spots on a single leaf. This was probably the result of reducing lamp height to 30cm for a day. As soon as I spotted the symptoms the distance was restored to about 50cm. Day22: both plants received 1l of pH-adjusted tap water (6.5 pH, 20.1°C, 296ppm) Day26: both plants received 1l of pH-adjusted tap water (6.5 pH, 19.8°C, 432ppm)

Gundermann Both Girls are doing good and started into pre-flowering on day 30 (Apricot) and day 32 (Apple Strudel). So far I am content with the results of the LST. By now I do not have much horizontal space left within the tent, so I moved the scrog net into place shortly after last weeks' entry. Apple Strudel ist doing really well so far. She ja growing fast and showing no signs of any stress or problems. The Apricot on the other hand has some minor problems. For once the branches of the previous top of the plant have eben growing into almost a knot, which I was able to fix by removing a single, albeit a quite large, leaf. Furthermore the Apricot again showed some yellowing and curling of the leaves' tips. I again increased the height of the lamp to combat the yellowing. Still I am uncertain if there is something else i should do, or even if this isn't light stress at all, but some deficiency. This could be the case, as the soil I am using is supposed to be pre-fertilizied for 4-6 weeks. I am thinking about starting fertilizing soon, but I want to do it only when ppm readings drop below suggested levels. Day 30: Both plants got about 2,5l of pH-adjusted tap water (6.5pH, 20.8°C, ~385 ppm). Run-off showed 6.3 pH on both plants. The Apple Strudel had a TDS value of ~980 ppm, the Apricot was at ~1300 ppm. I found some hidden salt buildup from prior use on the bottom of the Apricots'pot, I am hoping its removal will bring the Apricots TDS value back in line with the Apple Strudels'.

Gundermann Disclaimer: The fertilizer values are not accurate. Also I am not doing a real ScrOG, but a autoflower adjusted version using only LST and no defoliation. Both plants are well into flower by now, therefore i will count this week as the first of flowering. On the FastBuds shop page for both strains the expected flowering time is given at 8-10 weeks. As i am not certain if this means total growing time or the actual flowering time, i expect at least another 7-9 weeks from now until harvest. The Apple Strudel has been growing beautiful, I only had to reign in a single branch to even out the canopy so far. Even though the leaves have grown quite dense, no leaves have been removed and I am optimistic that will fix itself by just continuing to grow. The Apricot on the other hand seemed to have gotten a little bit stunted last week, but recovered this week in terms of growth. Also some of the leaves have gotten more yellow and even papery in the tips and edges. Initially i attributed this to light/heat stress. The last few days some of the affected leaf tips started curling upwards, which made me think this might actually be a potassium deficiency? It seemed to have at least slowed down by now. Additionally the Apricots' leaves have grown quite dense (because of which I removed a single large fan leaf before), and I hope that this will now fix itself when she finally stretches some more. As these two are Autos I want to keep any defoliation to a minimum. I have to confess I might have effed up. Because of last week's runoff dropping below 1000 ppm, I decided to cautiously start feeding. Somehow i then continued to feed both plants with all together 1g of Hakaphos Grün (20-5-10(+2)) and 3g of Hakaphos Rot (8-12-24(+4)). But not enough. I actually repeated this mistake yesterday, as i wanted to provide some potassium to the apricot and just realized i wasn't a feeding day. As the most recent run off ppm readings have been quite high (2400 & 3600 ppm) I will stop further feedings until the TDS values have come back down, even though both plants seem actually to be ok. I did some more reading and by now I know for a cautious start I actually should have used a combined 1g per litre at the most at this time. On a positive note my setup has been upgraded with a oscillating fan additionally to the existing static one. Also the LST-clips i ordered weeks ago finally arrived. Day 36: each got 2.5L of water (6.5pH, 22.4°C): 1L fert.-solution (~2360ppm, 3g hakaphos rot, 1g hakaphos grün) + 1.5L water (~380ppm). Apricot runoff at 6.4pH, 2005ppm. Apple Strudel runoff at 6.5pH, 1039ppm. Day 37: Pistils are here. Day 41: The Apricot got 2 L water (1g haka grün + 3g haka rot, 6.5 pH, 21.6°C, 2630ppm) + 0,5 L water (6.5 pH, 21.4°C, 344 ppm), the runoff was at 6.2pH , 2460 ppm. The Apple Strudel got 2 L Water (1g Haka grün + 3g haka rot, 6.5 pH, 21.6°C, 2440ppm) + 0,5l Water (6.5 pH, 21.4°C, 344 ppm), the runoff was at 6.0 pH, 3290ppm.

Interesting tent size and dimensions. 🏕️📏 Tying down is really a good way to train for AutoFlowers. 🌱🔗 The plants also look good. 🌿👌 Good luck. 🍀🤞
