Alpha_Green Hey dear garden friends, finally I'm back, with you, my beloved community. I hope you're doing well! I used this winter meticulously to successfully complete some important tasks. So busy, the time flew by. This morning I packed my 6 babies in damp cotton wool. 2 x Jealousy Z XL - Sweet Seeds 4 x Sour Jealousy - Fast Buds In the course of the day, the place was hygienically cleaned, before I set up the new box. A few weeks ago, I was able to resell the old Secret Jardin Box in a flash, which I was very happy about. Hi lovelies, Wow, a lot has happened in the last few days - I had to change my plans a bit. Nature is nature. Of my 5 Sour Jealousy, only one has the will to be brought into being. But it doesn't matter. Fortunately, I have a wide portfolio of genetics. So I have the one and three Jealousy Z and as a substitute 2 tasty Strawberry Bananas that hatched and moved up this morning. All Sweet Seeds had already germinated within 12 hours. Absolute madness! The growth rates are also remarkable. See for yourself here. Some photos right away. Sweet Seeds were all strong and fast. Their life cycle is also significantly shorter. Only 8 weeks, from seedling to harvest. I also had to remove the amniotic sac and peel from all of them. But in that I am already like a professional midwife. While all the girls were taken care of one after the other, I was able to take care of my home box from a technical point of view. It was a lot of work to wire everything. To optimize the work flow, to the new XL format. Using this time 2 x 20 litre pots and 4 x 17 litre. Today it was finally time to mix the substrate and fill the pots. I think I'll plant them on Sunday and start the machine, on its maiden voyage. My supply air is filtered by nylon stockings. These are ideal and can be replaced at any time. I will also work with CO2 again this time. TNB - Enhancer, great thing! They love it. Supply air is a 125 system. It took me forever to find the right solution on how to install everything. ;) Now Iโ€™m so proud of it, Homebox Ambient is really something different. Value, materials and beautiful design well combined. Very robust and ingeniously thought out. I like it very much. Hello dear plant lovers, I hope everyone here is doing well and that you, like me, are busy gardening... ๐Ÿ... This morning, when I woke up, a little voice whispered in my ear: "Today you have to plant your girls." No sooner said than done! What an effort: Soaking 6 huge canvas shoes with Bactrex and Orgatrex โ€“ yes, that's a day's work. Biotabs placed โ€“ 2 per pot. Actually, the manufacturer's recommendation would be just under 3 Biotabs per shoe, given the size of the pots. However, experience has taught me that less is often more. After all, I'm also working with parts of the old substrate, which already contains power supplements. Besides, I definitely don't want to risk excess nitrogen pollution again. During the vegetative phase, plants require higher light intensity to promote vigorous growth and stable plant structure. PPFD values โ€‹โ€‹should ideally be between 300โ€“400 ยตmol/mยฒ/s at this stage. With the SANlight EVO 4-80, this can be achieved by dimming to 30% and keeping the lamp distance approximately 35โ€“40 cm. However, since I'm illuminating the square meter with two Evo 4-80 lamps, I'm currently at a distance of 60 cm from the plant and at 21% power on both lamps in a group. Almost 300 ppfd are already reaching the canopy. And I'm happy to accept this value as the starting signal for the beginning of the vegetative phase. Good night ๐ŸŒ™๐Ÿ’ค๐Ÿ˜ด Take care & bee ๐Ÿ positive Alpha_Green

Alpha_Green Hello there ๐Ÿ‘‹ I'm happy about the positive development overnight. Last night, they were a bit annoyed with me because the climate conditions had suffered due to the move into their new home. It took me some time to adjust to. Now I'm really happy that the germination phase is successfully completed. Even for an experienced gardener, it's always a challenging task. Since I've been intensively involved with Fast Buds for several years now, I'm now going to explore new horizons. Sweet Seeds will be a bit more of a focus in the near future. What do I expect from a favorite seed bank?! For me, this is a crucial question. First and foremost, quality. Quality in every respect. What good is the best equipment and the finest raw materials if the genetics I've acquired slip through my fingers? The next question I ask myself is, of course: Why do I actually want to grow cannabis?! What are my goals and what do I want to invest in them?! Time, money, energy, and passion?! โ€ฆor simply, because it has become fashionable and legal.... at least in Germany ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช ;-)) It was already clear to me a few years ago that, in my case, weed was medicine for life. There's so much fuss about it, suddenly all sorts of grow shops are popping up under every stone, with the seemingly tireless goal of educating everyone to grow at home. To be honest, I still view this development with mixed feelings. I turned 50 a few days ago, and for half my life, I would never have dared to dream that cannabis would ever be legalized in Germany. And certainly not home cultivation. One thing was definitely one of the most important motivations for me to take on these sometimes considerable challenges: "No street grass in the world can even begin to compare with my final product!" That much is certain. And since I've learned that, no challenge is too difficult, no fan noise too loud, and no effort or expense too costly. I can tell you that much. Nowadays, working with plants is about understanding and implementing the respective skills and competencies I've accumulated over the years. Whether it's cannabis, orchids, hibiscus, peyote, or stropharia. Experiencing the various stages of development in complex plant species gives me at least as much pleasure as consuming or seeing the flowering plant. And I'd like to address another important point: Abstinence! Regular abstinence between seasons, growing cycles, and harvest festivals. A long time ago, I made it my most important task to be able to regularly abstain โ€“ when my own supply was exhausted. Even discipline! For me, this is also an excellent skill that has developed in my gardening heart over the years. Good morning everyone! Update this morning: Experts estimate that around ten billion bacteria from over 1,000 different species live in just one gram of dry soil. The area a few millimeters around plant roots is even more vibrant. In this so-called rhizosphere, there are about five to ten times more bacteria and other microorganisms than in other soil areas. So a few brown spots on the ends of leaves are completely harmless during the acclimatization phase with soil life, especially bacteria in organic farming. One of the best-known interactions between bacteria and plants is nitrogen fixation with the help of rhizobia. During these initial symbiotic processes, different phenotypes respond with different traits, and some remain unaffected. But this symbiosis is only a tiny part of the complex interplay between soil bacteria and plants. The major challenge for researchers is to understand the inhibitory and promoting effects of the many different species on each other and to derive a specific influence of bacterial activity on the respective crop. So the general rule is: The more bacteria, the better the plant growth! Morning update: Everything's going great. No noticeable delays in growth rates due to the move into their new home. Starting tomorrow, I'll be implementing the day-night cycle and switching from 24 to 22 hours of light. I plan to reduce it again to 20 hours per day within a week. I'm doing this gradually to keep the temperature difference between day and night as small as possible. I adjusted the light intensity from 21% to 22% this morning. The conditions are perfect and incredibly easy to manage in the new Homebox! Easyโ€ฆ I also gave it a little Boom Boom Spray yesterday evening, along with Alpha Boost from GrowsArtig. I love it. This morning I freed the one Sour Jealousy from the first pair of fingers. I don't want her to waste any more energy on this. As a result, she continues to concentrate on the apical main shoot and everything goes its usual course. Basically, all 6 girls are progressing wonderfully. No complications. Today they will breathe at night for the first time and metabolize their energy reserves. I initiate the day-night cycle. Easter postscript, my dear friends: I hope you're all doing well and staying safe. Something not everyone can say about themselves right now. Wherever you are, I thank you for your attention and for visiting my Growdiary. First, I have to correct a small mistake: It wasn't a Jealousy Z XL, but clearly Madame Sativa Monster: Sour Jealousy. Indica-dominant strains are relatively resilient when it comes to adapting to new surroundings. Indicas are also considerably more voracious than Sativa ladies. But nevertheless, my motto in organic cultivation is: "Never panic, it's organic." What belongs together, finds together. I can guarantee that to anyone interested in organic farming. Please never make the mistake of prematurely losing patience with a plant just because the first or second pair of leaves might not quite meet your expectations! You have to imagine the incredible development these plants go through. From the very beginning. And they depend on your care and the conditions you provide the plant with. At this point, I don't want to withhold from you any longer the madness I was able to experience this morning. All six of my favorites shot up like rockets overnight. Every subsequent leaf is now picture-perfect. With the Homebox, maintaining a balanced environment is really easy. It amazes me every day. No comparison to Secret Jardin. Therefore, I can only recommend: Before you consider expensive fertilizers and supplements, please ensure you have a high-quality environment. In my opinion, this is absolutely essential if you decide to grow indoors. And please don't misunderstand me. I'm not someone who drums up support for any product out of sheer profit. Rather, I'm someone, from a young age, who has at least tried to turn shit into gold... ;-) And I'm really good at it now. ;-)) Sometimes in my life, I'd rather buy quality than store food in the fridge. So much for that. The only difference from my previous experiences with grow tents compared to the Homebox is: Lukewarm water! It was very warm during the day today, so I started up my air supply unit for a test and ran all four recirculation fans at full speed during the "night phase." This allowed me to regulate the temperature and humidity extremely precisely to the desired level. Without any problems and with very little effort. For me, this was a kind of dress rehearsal for the flowering period in slightly warmer outdoor conditions in May and June, leading up to harvest. Today I ran through the so-called "worst case" scenario. Here you can see my current daylight cycle. I've been running it since yesterday. I've now reached 29% for both lamps in the middle of the day and then let them gradually decrease until the 20th hour. This is another feature in the grow that my plants and I would never want to be without again. Oh, and I wanted to add something else on the topic of investment: The money you invest in high-quality equipment will quickly come back to you, right out the front door... ;-)) ....and that will happen just as surely as the amen in prayer, whether you want it or not... ๐Ÿคฃ So, my dears, now it's time to go to bed. He who plants a garden believes in the future. Gardening is the purest of all human pleasures. With that in mind... Take care & bee ๐Ÿ positive Alpha_Green

Alpha_Green Just in time for Easter weekend, we're starting growth week 2 with a bang! As I predicted, my darlings have developed more than I expected. Apparently, the microbiome has now found its place, and the most important symbiotic processes seem to have already been completed. In other words: I'm thrilled, and my girls are doing well. The growth rate hasn't slowed in the slightest. (see photo gallery) Two Jealousy Z XL plants have already generated quite thick stems, which means the microrrhizal composition is already doing its job. Sour Jealousy has already grown 10 cm tall. This morning we gave the plants a vitamin cocktail as foliar food and oxygen-enriched water for soil life. The cotyledons are slowly becoming empty and look like they're about to fall off. The distance to the lamps has also been reduced to 58 cm. I'm now irradiating at an average of 350 ppfd per plant. No more signs of stress or other problems... Have to go to sleep nowโ€ฆ. ๐Ÿโ€ฆ "Where flowers bloom, the world smiles." I'll take this with me to dreamland... Hello dear friends, hope you're doing well and you're all busy and eager with spring gardening. As always, a lot has happened for me. My ladies are rocketing through the roof. Therefore, I already had to use precision scissors today (end of the 2nd week Vegi) to cut some air around the hips of a Jealousy Z. ;-) Before that, of course, there were leaf vitamins and I then seal the open wounds with beneficial bacteria. As you can see in the video, her young shoots are already eagerly pushing up. Sour Jealousy was also freed from unnecessary leaves and I think she cuts a great figure in her new plumage... ๐Ÿ˜ It is now the largest in the group and measures a proud 13 cm in height. Oh so soon I would have forgotten it. I have adjusted the lamps 10 clicks higher so that I can irradiate more homogeneously. The distance was 56 cm on average and is now back at just under 60 cm and an average of 370 ppfd. Circulating air has been running at full speed for days. At the moment, draughts are still sucked in by exhaust air. This will change shortly before the pre-flowering, because then I will also switch on CO2 and really turn up the hut. Then I'll give them a really nice place in the sun... โ˜€๏ธ As always, there was oxygen-enriched water with Cannazym 2.5 ml per litre to drink. They love it, then I love it too. โ€ž One of the most appealing things about a garden is the anticipation it creates.โ€œ Take Care & bee ๐Ÿ positive Alpha_Green

Alpha_Green Hi dear garden friends! Just in time for the start of the 3rd week of growth, I bring you some interesting insights into my work with the girls. Yesterday morning I had given all 6 of them some enriched soil. The felt shoes, which were initially very generously filled, gradually caused the substrate to sag quickly due to the organic trough. A common process in my course of events. Especially because I had provided the immediate vicinity of the once planted seedling with peat-free forest soil cultivation soil and this behaves extremely yielding in combination with moisture. Due to the extremely fast growth rates, I was able to start my shaping training today, on the first day of the 3rd week of growth. The nodes were already slightly bored and hungry for light, as some fans were already blocking the view of the sun. Well, I immediately and gladly took that as an opportunity to pre-shape my favorites. The result is impressive! Afterwards, of course, there was another big reward. "CARROT AND STICK." Hand-picked administration of Boom Boom Spray directly on the young offspring and a mix of freshly planted beneficial bacteria, directly on the wounds inflicted in this way, which then close exorbitantly quickly and heal carefree. A word about genetics. I've been working with Fast Buds for years and of course I know what I'm getting, for what use. However, I feel Sweet Seeds somehow more individual. Sweet Seeds touches me differently. I think they are usually very beautiful phenotypes with graceful extremities. Somehow diva-like, just little princesses... ;-) But very stable and training enthusiasts, which probably runs in the family with Jealousy crossbreeds. Jealousy is simply my absolute favorite. That's why I'm particularly excited about the Sweet Seeds variant. At this point, a big thank you ๐Ÿ™ again dear Sweet Seeds team. Hello dear congregation! ๐Ÿ‘‹ Yes, as you can see on pictures and videos, I have already made some preparations for the pre-flowering. Since the time window for leaf love and training is usually relatively small with automatics, I line up the most intensive "interventions" as close to each other as possible. And before and after the procedures, generously and individually administered โ€žLeaf-Loveโ€œ units. As a result, the growth rate hardly suffers noticeably and my girls remain in a good mood. I thought this time I would not top but "only" defoliate. After all, I am now in the fortunate position of being able to let all XL strains grow naturally. Naturally, this works particularly well with automatic girls. But even with defoliation, I look closely at where and which reductions are really necessary and sensible. When pruning, I usually orient myself to the impatience of the young shoots, to each plant. In this round, they are all quite busy. Strawnana is a little bit smaller because she is a few days younger than the others. However, she shows great ambitions not to want to be left behind. The intensity of the apical dominance of the side shoots also showed me when and where I should have a liberating effect on light. The large fan leaves simply block the view of the sun. But be careful: Of course, it is also a balancing act and can also temporarily block growth under certain circumstances. However, if this phase is successfully completed, then there will be fireworks of flower formation in the generative phase. It's purely a matter of feeling. In other words, away from the safe path of proven leadership. This is the only way to gain valuable experience. This morning I increased the distance to the lamps again - to 80 cm and the maximum light intensity of both lamps to 47%. In this way, I promote the upcoming stretch and slightly larger generating distances between the internodes. I'm already very excited about the next few weeks. From Wednesday I will introduce CO 2 and increase the intensity significantly and extend the distance to the lamp again generously. Addendum: Today I will describe, what will happen later. My girls were pre-shaped again last night. What does that mean?! I meticulously evaluated and opened up the leaf crowns. I identified the shadow portions and transformed them into clearings. Piece by piece and plant by plant. I discovered countless young shoots beneath each of the uppermost leaf blade pairs, which absolutely needed to be highlighted before implementing the CO2. I can already say: The critical phase is now thankfully overโ€ฆ! All 6 mice have shown no signs of growth delays. They signal trust and gratitude. Now it was time to free the young exposed shoots from the leaves pointing towards the centre of the plant to ensure a well-circulating air flow around the plants. On the contrary, they are now speeding along with full power into complete enjoyment - namely the magnificent conditions, that I am ensuring and making available for them. These are the resulting characteristics of an intense emotional relationship between plant and human. Even with bananas, humans still have about 50% of their genetic material in common. So why shouldn't I get in touch with the generous source of my medicine. And why shouldn't it have a positive influence on the mind and growth of my plants. I always say: "Man, consider the source from which you consume." I thank them for their fertility, stroke their leaves, confirm their beautiful growth, so that the girls feel that I am there. A little crazy? Anyone who talks to plants can seem strange to others. If someone watches me talking to my plants, they might think that I "don't have all the cups in the cupboard". It is possible that many see it that way. However, those who talk to them from time to time in addition to the mental attention to their plants probably understand me. Not only dogs and cats react to human attention, but also plants and trees. So it is not strange to show the plants with which we live in close contact this. They thank us by forming leaves and flowers every new spring/run. Oneness with nature. Connecting with the plants in spirit. I feel at home among themโ€”a part of them. Sometimes I think that nature gives me much more than I can give back. In my apartment, the plants provide fresh air, create atmosphere, and delight me with their vibrant colors and healthy greenery. My plants remind me daily of the sun in my heart. If we open our hearts to their messages, then it becomes easy to understand them. โ€œIf I want to make contact with a plant, I must approach it with my heart, not with my mind.โ€ The garden is a creation, a work that is (also) created by you. It best illustrates the principle of interconnectedness and mutual interaction with the world of nature and elemental beings. At a rate of one millimetre per hour, each root tip, driven by growing cells, pushes its way through the soil. Relentlessly. Imagine each root tip as an astronaut being carried through the dark universe by their spaceship. And like an astronaut, each tip can determine its own path. The roots feel grains of sand, they smell salts, they accompany microscopic water veins on their way. The real life of the plant takes place underground. In truth, what we call soil is a web of moving plant bodies. The leaves above only fill up on the energy for it in the sky. And all these facts are the expression of my abysmal passion - which is not necessarily wanting to get "high" in the end - no, it's the love and appreciation for my plants - and I think that's what sets me apart from most growers here in this communityโ€ฆ Dear garden friends, see you in growth week four, from tomorrowโ€ฆ Take care & bee ๐Ÿ positive! @LoccoMotive, Hey Tony many thanks! ๐Ÿ˜Š Of course, you're right, especially considering that I'm running my system with five fans from now on. The place is now idial, because the way to the terrace (tubes) is super close. And the conditions can be perfectly implemented in the vicinity of fresh air. Of course, this requires an unhealthy amount of passion and bravery. ;-)) At best, every edoxh compensates for the harvest, despite all the hardships suffered. ๐Ÿ˜ The first two weeks are always a settling-in period... ๐Ÿ...
