Grow_for_Happiness Starting up the seeds for the outdoor grow. My inlaws grew this strain last summer and even as novice growers they got great results so hoping for some banging bud with having the extra experience behind me. Took 3-4 days to push through but 8 to get start of first leaves. Started in he Nanodome with 18w led beside all our cucumbers

Grow_for_Happiness Week two veg and these girls are looking nice and healthy. Just starting their fourth set of leaves and the colour is good. Roots are poking out of the bag so will be transplanting soon. Looking sad in pics because it was before watering and they were just finishing dry back. Started nutrients at end of week, just a once a week feed nice and simple and only one powder to mix.

Grow_for_Happiness Girls got transplanted into three gallon fabric pots mid week. Roots were crazy and could tell they wanted more space. Used HP Pro mix and buffed with water and Reefertilizer grow. Looked happy next day, love the nursery bags rarely ever any transplant shock. Removed the bottom two sets of leaves and branches from each plant.

Grow_for_Happiness Good couple of weeks, last week was busy and completely missed the diary entry. Have just been doing light leaf tucking and removal of lowest branches. Plants are looking great save for lightening of the leaf edges, most likely a PH imbalance as my PH pen will no longer calibrate and a replacement probe is on the way. Guess they only last a few years 🤷. Heading outdoors in next week or two so less worry about the PH

Grow_for_Happiness Things are coming along nicely with these two. Still getting a bit of leaf curl and edge lightening, but now that I have my new PH pen probe we should see that go away this week. This leaf tucking and removing lowest branches and leaves to open her up. I always aim for a 12" stalk or more just to make watering easier once they're outdoors. Speaking of which they will be indoors an extra week compared to normal. Had a cold front move in daytime highs only 12°C and overnights down to 4°. Looks like back to seasonal (20+/12+) closer to May 30th so aiming for planting then. Will prep the pots this upcoming weekend.

Grow_for_Happiness Good week, a day late on update but busy few days prepping garden. Looks like nice weather finally showing up, storms next few days so hoping to plant early next week. Weather has been slow to cooperate this year! That's ok, girls are happy just running out of space lol. Defoliation early week as they were thick A.F. but rebounded nice and fast. Photos right before watering. Still getting some lightening of the edges but PH on point and nutes are good so maybe just a strain characteristic? No worries either way.

Grow_for_Happiness Well today was supposed to be the big day, came home and went down to bring the plants outside only to discover they were VERY dry! They really sped up consumption last two days that's for sure. 2L a day all week and now probably 2.5-3L a day at how dry they were. Luckily they're resilient (and not autos haha) and they bounced right back with a healthy watering. So outside they stay tonight I'm their little pots to help them recover, and tomorrow after work into the big pots they go. Using 40 gallon fabric pots and locally sources soil mix. Nice light airy with good water retention, have used in past with great results! Excited for tomorrow!

Grow_for_Happiness What a beauty week for growing weed it was this past week. Girls grew a good 12", sunny every day except for one of rain, good winds to strengthen the stalks, and 20-22°C daytime highs.
Really happy with how they're going so far, and the once a week Reefertilizer feed seems to be working great. Watered by hose one day mid week and a late week feed of 12L nutrient mix per plant.

Grow_for_Happiness Another week, another impressive amount of growth! Girls have really shot up, and were getting so bushy that I gave them a defoliation two days ago. Removed two most inner leaf/branch sets from every main arm on the plant save the top three set of arms. Looking much more airy now and ready to battle the hot humid weather. Which is good, because the last three days have been 34°C feels like 45°C with humidity at 85%. Girls are getting a full watering with the hose every 36 hours to keep up with the heat. Otherwise once a week feedings with the Reefertilizer Grow. Looking great though, despite starting every day just soaked in condensation. Gonna be one of those years I think!

Grow_for_Happiness The two girls have evened out in size this week, and even though they didn't gain much height wow did they wooden out! Almost as wide as they are tall, pretty awesome looking little weed bushes! Seem to be pretty good on water consumption, get and extra day between waterings compared to the OG Kush strain I'm doing. Fully recovered from last week's pruning, leaves praying daily and nice airy, healthy looking plants. No training yet, and they've both turned naturally into bushes. Be neat to see what they look like once they're fully grown!

Grow_for_Happiness Hot, humid and almost daily storms were on the menu for the past week! Most days were 25-30°C feeling like 35-40°C and by late afternoon we were usually treated to quite the thunderstorm. Very heavy downpours that would last only a few minutes, sometimes a bit of hail mixed in too! A small bit of leaf damage but for the most part the girls were unharmed. With the heat it's been watering every two days just completely soaking the pots with the garden hose. Fed on Friday with Reefertilizer Grow. Was my last bit of it, if we're not into Bloom nutrients next feeding will supplement with some liquid stuff.
Otherwise girls are quite healthy. Great looking trunks and surface roots, getting quite thick from all the winds! Which is great, means they should be able to support a good bud load without having to trellis (hopefully...) but have to wait and see what happens!
Happy growing.

Grow_for_Happiness Wow what a hot week we had again, starting to think it's one of those summers. 32/42°C days and 20/30°C nights has these girls guzzling water and beefing up at a fast rate! Nice round bush looking plants, so far a great strain to grow. No issues so far despite random heavy thunderstorms with heavy winds and pounding rain. They just stand their ground and come back praying for the sun. Have to get a defoliation done again soon, pretty think middles!
Otherwise nice easy week, watering every 2 days, soaking each plant for 3 minutes with hose on 3/4 strength shower. When feeding had to substitute Ibex nutrients this week, as I ran out of the Reefertilizer Grow and with maybe one more week until flower didn't want to order more. Plus had the ibex sitting on a shelf from the 2023 grow cup winners package so figured why not use it up. Only enough for two feedings but won't need more than that, then back to Reefertilizer Bloom for flower stage.

Grow_for_Happiness Well here we are again! Another week has gone by and these girls are just on cruise control. Good growth again and looking quite happy and healthy. Gave a good defoliation early week hollowing out the insides, and they didn't bat an eye! No signs of stress and lots of healthy new growth. Really liking the shape of these girls, all natural too have not done any training save for first week or two just some very light leaf tucking. A sign of great genetics! Pretty impressed by their size already, and could see another few feet of growth once flower hits. Still hoping not to trellis, but always have some on hand in case hahaha. Probably another week or two of veg for these two, with an 8-10 week flower and early October finish timing feels right.

Grow_for_Happiness Me last week: I'm going to let these go natural and try not to trellis. Me after finding two branches broken 95% off the plant "time to MacGyver a trellis!!". So MacGyver I did and riffed up what is now my favorite way to trellis outdoors. Pipes are drainage pipes I had laying around, slid over stakes made out of scrap 2x2 that were three feet long, with half above and half below ground. Two screws into each to secure, slide the netting over and we're done! A little more precise measuring at the start, but nothing too difficult. Was a hot week above 40°C with humidity again, so watering daily but plants loving it just drinking their faces off.
Plants are looking great otherwise, with even the broken branches still looking healthy. What's crazy is there almost al wide as they are tall! Gonna be a bit a sight to watch these girls come in.

Grow_for_Happiness Well here we are, the first week of flower! Girls are looking healthy, and round as ever. 75" tall and 72" wide they're basically giant weed spheres. Can't wait to see these get loaded up with buds. Still a ways out, but one can dream no? Added the next row of trellis 18" above the first, just 2-3 tops of each plant through the netting. Just wanted it in place in case they shoot up. If they don't can always lower the netting if support is needed. Otherwise aside from needing a defoliation the girls are just cruising on autopilot. Temps were great, highs around 27-30°C no humidity so nice break from the summer heat.
Time to sit back, keep these girls watered and watch the buds come in.

Grow_for_Happiness Bit late on this week's update, life and the food garden had me quite busy! Was another scorcher of a week, daytime highs 32°C feels like 42°C, just muggy and hot AF. Means the girls were on a daily watering regime, roughly 35L of water each per day. Tried going to every two days but they were waaaaay too droopy come watering time. Tough because we haven't had rain for almost a month now, means we're trying to limit our water use as much as possible, but got a keep the girls going. At least this upcoming week looks cooler, highs of 24°C with little to no humidity so should slow down the waterings frequency and volume.
Girls got a defoliation early week, removing leaves and squirrely growth from the inner plant. Noticable difference in airflow and light penetration once finished, and no visible shock so i'd say a job well done haha.
Otherwise a pretty easy week plant wise, just making sure nothing getting caught up on netting and keeping them happy.
Until next week!

Grow_for_Happiness Finally the heat wave has broken and we are back to much more normal temperatures 🎉. This time of year that means daytime around 26° and nights around 10-15° with little to no humidity. Gotta say though, the girls loved the 40°C and 95%RH during veg but the seasonal temps much better for this stage of life. Down to watering every 2.5-3 days now that it's not so hot.
Otherwise was a very hands-off off week, just watering, the usual weekly feeding of 12L nutrient mix, and that's it.
Happy plants happy life!
@Inganjawetrust, why thank you! It is neat to see each strain grow in its own unique way without training and full sun exposure rather than just lights above like indoor
