If you look at the pics of RG #3, its having some difficulty opening up and taking off. Is there anything I could do to help it along or does it just have to takes its course and hope for the best?

Hey there! It's is kinda let it take it's course but there are some things you can do. The first most important is make sure it is not getting to much water and they shouldn't need much nutes either at this stage if any at all. At least that one You should only give it plain pH'd water for now it is working on growing its' roots right now that's why there's not much upward growth. The best way to make sure you are not giving to much water is to let it dry out almost completely but not to where the plant wilts. then feel the weight of the pot take a mental note of it or if you feel like it you can actually weigh it. then when you water feel the weight and same thing make a mental of literal note of it. Now you can know if it needs water by the weight if it's not as light as it was when dry then don't water if it is water. Oh yea and when you do feed you might want to try a Feed-water-water-feed schedule. Happy Growing!🙏

Week 4 - 04/05 - 04/11 Light - 600 W MH & 140 W LED(Veg Switch) Temperature - 74 +/-2 Humidity - 70 +/-5 D22 Veg - I had to throw RG #3 away, it just would not grow. RIP RG3 D25 Veg - Watered with nutrients, only used 2 gallons of water for 5 plants since I am pretty sure I over watered the pots the last fresh water rinse. Plants are recovering from being topped, I will start to tie the plants down soon. D27 Veg - LST was done to the plants to spread them out. D28 Veg - Watered with nutrients, bumped up the feeding to 3 gallons of water for the 5 plants.

I feel like both lights were a bit much for them at this point. I also lifted the MH light up, the leaves were damaged severely. D31 Veg - Watered the plants with nutrients and tied them down for some LST. D32 Veg - Topped the mains again, the nodes are are starting to thicken up and the stems are solid. Took some clones to possibly plant in my air pots. D34 Veg - Watered the plants with ph'd water and hydroguard. The plants are looking like they are starting to recover from the topping.

It worked pretty well last time so hopefully, this batch follows suit. I will change the MH bulb to an HPS midweek, along with switching on the bloom switch for the LED light. Added the Scrog net and ended up defoliating and cleaning up the underside a little bit. D4 Flower - Watered with nutrients and switched to an HPS bulb D7 Flower - Plants are doing great, nod spacing is nice and stacked. The transition eased the plants into flower, they are down to 12 on 12 off.

Week 13 - 06/07 - 06/13 Light - 400 W HPS & 265 W LED Temperature - 76 +/-3 Humidity - 50 +/-5 D40 Flower - Returned home from a 5-day trip and these ladies are growing nicely. Buds are thickening up and the entire tent is sticky. It is still early but I am definitely seeing a difference this grow compared to the last with resin production. Terpinator and FloraNectar are definitely doing their jobs. I also reduced the light schedule down to 11 hours and will reduce again in a week or so. I found some information on lowering the daylight towards the end of flowering to supercharge bud production.

Week 14 - 06/14 - 06/20 Light - 400 W HPS & 265 W LED Temperature - 76 +/-3 Humidity - 40 +/-5 D43 Flower - Watered the ladies, they are swelling up nicely. While I am happy to stare at these beauties daily, this is definitely the boring part of growing, not much to report besides beautiful bud growth. They have also started to produce a strong scent, to the point where I will smell the entire house up if the garage door is open. Loving the way this grow is turning out. D46 Flower - Water with nutrients and added some blackstrap molasses to the mix. I took a risk today and tested out some late flower defoliation, I took the large fan leaves off two of the clones and front Hulkberry and Royal Gorilla Scrog. I want to see the difference in growth with late flower defoliation. D47 Flower - Moved the LED light a little further away, I had noticed some light burn on one of the clones. Decided to build a drying box since I am pretty sure I will have to harvest these strains separately. Added some pics, its a quick build out of some stuff I had laying around the house. Only had to buy a $10 filter that I could cut up and $20 silica gel packs. I am running the exhaust air from the tent into the dry box that will filter through the $10 charcoal filter I cut up and doubled up on the filtration. I'm going to add refreshable silica gel packs in the box to help fight humidity. Hopefully, it works.

I have recently seen other growers partially harvest their plants. I understand the theory behind it, the lower buds get a chance to mature and bulk up. I am looking for growers that have experience in this and whether it is worth it and how you went about doing it.

Hi @GrowingisFunkO! I've done this in the past and had nice results with the lowest bud sites getting more dense and frosty. Plus I have the feeling that cutting the main stem creates an intense stress and generates more trichomes very quickly on the remaining buds. The only problem is that you need have a drying room ready, whereas most of us, homegrowers, do use their grow tent as a drying tent. I would recommend to try by yourself, sometimes if the lowest parts of the plant are in the darkness, this is the only chance to make them fatten up. Hope this will help, keep us updated and happy growing! 👊

Raised the HPS and LED lights up and turned the HPS down to 200 W, I am trying to emulate fall by lowering the amount of light. D53 Flower - Started the flush today with ph'd water and blackstrap molasses. I also decided to go ahead and defoliate one of the clones and both of the scrog plants. I didn't strip it bare, I just cut out the larger fan leaves. I opened the tent today and they were glistening and super potent smelling, I am probably a week away from harvesting! D56 Flower - Was on a trip and had to water the ladies with a timer and pump, thankfully everything worked fine. Flushed again with FloraKleen.

I flushed them with FloraKleen and molasses, this should be the last one before I snip down the main colas. Since they are close to harvest, I spent about an hour defoliating so harvest will go a little quicker. D60 Flower - So I pulled the ladies out to breathe, take pics, and to do a partial harvest. I cut the main colas off of all the plants and am allowing the lower bud sites to dense up. Until I harvest the lower part, here is the wet weight by plant: RG 1 - 177 g. RG 2 - 214 g. RG Clones - 88

It was a fun grow overall. Made some small mistakes early on with the scrog and lst training but they still produced some decent sized buds.
