Week 14 - 06/14 - 06/20 Light - 400 W HPS & 265 W LED Temperature - 76 +/-3 Humidity - 40 +/-5 D43 Flower - Watered the ladies, they are swelling up nicely. While I am happy to stare at these beauties daily, this is definitely the boring part of growing, not much to report besides beautiful bud growth. They have also started to produce a strong scent, to the point where I will smell the entire house up if the garage door is open. Loving the way this grow is turning out. D46 Flower - Water with nutrients and added some blackstrap molasses to the mix. I took a risk today and tested out some late flower defoliation, I took the large fan leaves off two of the clones and front Hulkberry and Royal Gorilla Scrog. I want to see the difference in growth with late flower defoliation. D47 Flower - Moved the LED light a little further away, I had noticed some light burn on one of the clones. Decided to build a drying box since I am pretty sure I will have to harvest these strains separately. Added some pics, its a quick build out of some stuff I had laying around the house. Only had to buy a $10 filter that I could cut up and $20 silica gel packs. I am running the exhaust air from the tent into the dry box that will filter through the $10 charcoal filter I cut up and doubled up on the filtration. I'm going to add refreshable silica gel packs in the box to help fight humidity. Hopefully, it works.

If you look at the pics of RG #3, its having some difficulty opening up and taking off. Is there anything I could do to help it along or does it just have to takes its course and hope for the best?

Hey there! It's is kinda let it take it's course but there are some things you can do. The first most important is make sure it is not getting to much water and they shouldn't need much nutes either at this stage if any at all. At least that one You should only give it plain pH'd water for now it is working on growing its' roots right now that's why there's not much upward growth. The best way to make sure you are not giving to much water is to let it dry out almost completely but not to where the plant wilts. then feel the weight of the pot take a mental note of it or if you feel like it you can actually weigh it. then when you water feel the weight and same thing make a mental of literal note of it. Now you can know if it needs water by the weight if it's not as light as it was when dry then don't water if it is water. Oh yea and when you do feed you might want to try a Feed-water-water-feed schedule. Happy Growing!πŸ™

I have recently seen other growers partially harvest their plants. I understand the theory behind it, the lower buds get a chance to mature and bulk up. I am looking for growers that have experience in this and whether it is worth it and how you went about doing it.

Hi @GrowingisFunkO! I've done this in the past and had nice results with the lowest bud sites getting more dense and frosty. Plus I have the feeling that cutting the main stem creates an intense stress and generates more trichomes very quickly on the remaining buds. The only problem is that you need have a drying room ready, whereas most of us, homegrowers, do use their grow tent as a drying tent. I would recommend to try by yourself, sometimes if the lowest parts of the plant are in the darkness, this is the only chance to make them fatten up. Hope this will help, keep us updated and happy growing! πŸ‘Š

@Stick, Thanks! I normally have to use my grow tent as my dry box as well but recently I took some parts and built one, I have some pictures posted in week 14. I think I am going to harvest the tops and let the bottom half mature a bit more.
