I'm planting 3 strains of differents seed banks outdoors on my balcony. Second time growing and I wanted to make a diary this time. Let's hope i keep up with it and get good results.
That being said, this strain is a Moby Dick XXL Auto from Dinafem. My hopes are high for this one (my first time growing were 2 strains from dinafem and they did turn up quite good). After a week of germination (3 days on a tupper and 4 days planted in the pot) it has sprouted and im anxious to see it become bigger.
Starting Week 2, they are growing a little bit slower than I expected, probably due to the sunlight hours I get and low temperatures at night, but they look healthy anyways, so i'm in no rush. I'll start adding the normal dose of root booster this week (last week did less than half, just to be careful). This one in particular tho, is the one doing best so im really happy and looking forward each day to see how they do.
Starting week 3, the three pointed sets of leaves are growing quite well. Some light green fading appeared on one of the leaves but it doesn't look concerning for now, we'll see. I'm excited to see the forthcoming growth.
So, last week I bought a ph meter and found out that tap water of my region is way to alkaline so i had to balance it out, and the plant seems to like it better, no more fading to light green/yellow on the leaves. She seems to be healthy. Weather has chilled a little bit but she keeps growing so I'm happy.
Edit Day 27: So apparently this week I discovered some pests starting to take hold on two of the plants, this one had some thrips that I had removed and then I used an organic preventive to avoid more damage to the plant.
This week the plants, althought they are growing a bit slower due to weather conditions, are starting to flower. I have finally dealt with pests and they seem to be healthy. This one staying a little short but there's still time to grow tall, Im really anxious to see how big it can get.
This week has been fantastic for the plants, we had a few of sunny days and she seems to like the flower stimulation nutes. I've been dealing well with pests and the only "problem" I've noticed are some markings on the leaves of a little water excess but nothing to worry about. I'm happy to see her grow and she is starting to take a good shape.
She keeps growing healthy and her longer cycle is starting to show when compared to the others, a lot of pistils showing up at the end of the week. The coming weeks higher temps and sunnier days are expected. Looking forward to it.
She is doing fantastic, growing big as expected, she has some markings from overwatering a couple of weeks before but she is doing fine now that temps are getting higher.
This week bud started to take shape and she seems to be doing fine , besides some thrips I'm dealing with but there's not many harm done to her. and she continues to grow fine.
@Waters, Some are from overwatering a few weeks ago, others are pests but I deal with them as she grows, nothing to be alarmed (I'm using a neemic oil sprayed on the leaves every 4/5 days).
@CoastGrower, She is not as tall as she can get but that's due to weather conditions I had these past months. Right now she is close to half meter. I expect her to get a little bit more but not much.
Fantastic! Another Moby Dick XXL grow up and running and this one is outdoors 👍
Best of luck with the grow my friend. Let's hope mother nature is kind and you have the best grow ever 👍
Needless to say we will be watching with interest ✌️
All the best 👍
