Xavit Hi and welcome to my first Growdiary – and my third grow now! The cuttings come from Flowery Fields, an Austrian provider for cuttings. I’ll attach the strain description for you right away. The cuttings were planted yesterday and are supposed to be about 2 weeks old. I’m looking forward to a good exchange with you all! Gelato 33: Gelato #33 is one of the famous strains from the Gelato line in the USA, the 33rd plant from a selection between Sunset Sherbet and Girl Scout Cookies (Thin Mints). Our Gelato #33 is the Cookie Cut. Amnesia:

Xavit Update: Two weeks after topping, I made a plan today to optimally fill my 40x40 cm tent. I'm using a SCROG net with 4x4 squares. In the picture, you can see which squares I've chosen – since the flowering period falls in summer, I wanted to intentionally leave more space between the buds to avoid mold. I've kept the four strongest shoots on each plant and removed the rest. I also took off the lower side shoots on the main stems since they wouldn't get much light – this way, the energy goes into the main buds. Additionally, I've gently bent and massaged the shoots, as some were still quite thin due to contact with the tent wall. Unfortunately, one shoot has a small tear at the node – that's why there are zip ties for stabilization there. Feel free to share tips on what I can do better for the next grow! Thanks for reading.

Xavit Today was a productive day in the tent! I removed some leaves that could later become popcorn buds and also the shoots that would have made the spacing too narrow - this could otherwise be problematic with the humidity. I also added a PET heating mat to increase the temperature a little and stabilize the climate. The plants have now completed their final switch to the 12/12 cycle - it's now time for the flowering phase! I'm looking forward to seeing how everything develops and hope that the changeover goes well.

Xavit Stretch war about 15cm, so about 1/3. The Amnesia has grown a bit taller, but not as much as I thought (about 15cm taller than G33). The plan with the distribution was well thought out, but side branches have grown partially just below the main buds. The amount of watering has increased a bit, but that's more due to the slightly warmer environment. I will do some defoliation around day 21 of flowering, and then that will be it for the work. I have a small dehumidifier right by the intake, which raises the temperature from 22.5 to about 24-24.5 degrees. It doesn't really dehumidify the air noticeably, but it still reduces mold formation. Currently, I have the PPFD value at 520-620.

Xavit Currently, the humidity is quite high – around 60%, typical German weather. Regarding the nutrient schedule: I'm currently giving 500 ml daily per plant, with – 2 ml Bloom, – 1.4 ml Bio-Heaven, and – 1.4 ml Top-Max. The smell is already really good when you touch a sugar leaf. Amnesia smells really lemony and sweet-fruity, totally intense and pleasant. Gelato 33 is a bit more subtle, but also fruity with a bitter note – not as prominent as the Amnesia, but still very tasty.

Xavit Small update. When opening the tent, there's just a super delicious smell to be noticed. The Gelato is getting a slight purple tint and the Amnesia is developing many long hairs. Unfortunately, the Amnesia has slight burns, which is why I'm reducing Bio-Bloom a bit. And just now, while I'm writing this, I've noticed that the Gelato is also showing slight burns. Therefore, I will water both with just Heaven once and then lower the Bloom from 2 ml to 1.5 ml while continuing with 500 ml per day.

Xavit Unfortunately had a bit of bud rot. But it was just a small spot. I removed a large part of the bud. Gelato will be harvested in 2 days and the Amnesia still has about 10 days left. Gelato got a 4-day flush on flower day 50. It went pretty fast, but they are only 4L or 5L pots. Amnesia I estimate around 60 days.

I just noticed that my text was too long and some of it got deleted. I'll quickly add it again. Amnesia: This legendary clone-only strain has been our best-seller for years. The genetic background is a Super Silver Haze, selected by user Core from the ICMAG forum, who named it Amnesia due to its unique effects. The Dutch coffeeshops produced their Amnesia from this cut. We were the first company to bring this clone to the market 15 years ago.

nice grow! do you have a lemon or sweet amnesia scent? how many weeks do you like to flower her?

Xavit commented1y ago
@mindblow, Hey, sorry for the late reply. I just saw your message. For me, it’s both lemony and sweet. The scent is more lemony, while the taste is more sweet and slightly lemon. I also tried to describe it in the new update, but it's a bit hard for me because I haven’t had the chance to test many different strains/phenos yet. I harvested too early because of the wet summer weather in Germany. It was only in flower for 53 days. It definitely would have needed another 2 weeks.😊
