weedfan133 Like last time I threw the seed in a glass of water and put it in a dark place, and after 2 days I took out the seed it had a small root, and I then put the seed in a wet napkin and put it in a ziplock for another day

weedfan133 I am embarrassed by the yellow leaves, and the burnt tips, I raised the lamp 5-10 centimeters. The first time I grew this variety, it was similar, but the leaves were not raised so high, apparently the plant so protects itself from strong light by raising the leaves up for less contact with the light

The last couple of days, the leaves have lifted a bit again and bent the edges, and the leaves are glossy, was it a mistake to keep the light on 24h the first week, or what do the last couple of pics look like? (I have now set the mode to 18/6) so as not to fry the plant

could be light-related, but node spacing doesn't seem overly tight. I'd wager this is more environmental or possibly some bad watering habits causing some unsuaully high pockest of concentration of nutes in root zone. It's more difficult to water a tiny plant in a big pot -- the risks and typicla problems outweight the perceived risks of potting up with autoflowers. If this is an auto, never be afraid to pot-up. I've potted up 400ish times and yet to see 1 single plant shocked from this behaviour. Watering in a big pot/small plant situation... You should be watering in a small diameter just wider than the canopy, but ensure this moisture goes all the way down to the bottom. Otherwise you are training shitty, superficial roots. also, the drying pattern will cause more problems if you don't. So, make sure it's wet at bottom of pot. Slowly increase diameter of irrigtation as the plant grows. The ebb and flow of moisture around the boundaries of this moisture is where bad things can happen. Concentration levels can skyrocket in these zones and roots touching those areas will not be happy, whic means potential problems for the plant above ground too. An appropriately sized pot makes for much easier irrigation and avoids all these problems with good habits... fully saturate (10% runoff if soilless) and wait for appropriate dryback/loss of weight before re-irrigating. Simple as that. Always fully saturate when a plant is the right size for the pot. This promotes the best root system and if done right should eliminate any superficial roots. You don't want roots in that top inch or so. If you do, it's a sign of bad irrigationa habits. Also, if fully saturate causes any issues, it's indicative of a poorly constituted substrate and nothing else. Add more perlite if simple act of watering causes any drooping or deprives roots of O2. light -- it's more complicated than just hours of operation. photons per second multiplied by hours of operation is what matters -- rate x time. read up on daily light integral - the wiki is sufficient. DLI is what matters as far as how much light to provide. Efficacy of the light and intensity of the light will impact how many watts per sq ft and how long to keep it on to reach a targeted DLI (35-40 DLI is a good starting spot) Always observe and adjust relative to plant growth in this regard, but these informed starting points can minimize how much adjustment is needed. Local variables matter and will cause one garden to be different from another as far as just how much DLI you can give a plant -- on top of some genetic variance. This stuff is a tool, not an absolute one-size-fits-all answer, which is usually the perception of people that dislike it or misuse it. Anyway, if your light spec sheet is accurate you can take some numbers and guesstimate your DLI and make a more informed decision if that was part of the problem here. umol/s produced by your light divided by area in m^2. This will be a rough estimate of PPFD -- assumes 'normal' hanging distance and a properly focused light on the area used in previous calculation. this is 'at the diode' and not at the canopy PPFD, so it's just a rough idea of DLI, but it works well with the context of a tent and typical hanging distances for LED lights... 35-40DLI at the diode. It'll be less at the canopy - missing plant and absorbed by walls. So, take that rough PPFD, google a DLI table and cross reference with hours of operation == DLI. If it's exceedingly high compared to 35-40 dli, it's very likely part of the problem. This can also help you adjust hours of operation, dimming or hanging distance. Each can be used to manipulate how much DLI is provided. it can help you eliminate it as a possiblity if less than ~35 dli, too... th emiddle area is more of a grey area that will need other factors to be cross-referenced to undrstand if a tweak is needed in this regard.

weedfan133 Raised the lamp to 70cm high and haven't watered it for 4 days so far, so far it looks ok (I think). Apparently I overwatered it last time :( But what I am pleased and surprised about is the rapid growth, especially of the side branches. Either I just had it all slower last time, or this particular one is growing fast

1. Am I right that it was just overwatering? 2. Who has experienced the same thing? 3. What are the chances of growing a healthy plant? I appreciate all the responses, this is very important to me, thank you!

Hey there your learning I agree your main problem is over watering correct. Although the tips of the leaves could also be from nutrient burn or possibly the soil being to hot(to many nutrients in the soil to start). If you do this 100% your plant will bounce back and be looking good. 1. Your plant is really small and has barely any roots yet and that’s a big decent size pot so it will take mostly evaporation to get the water out the pot this water cycle so it’s ok if it takes 10 to 14 days ti dry out you want to see the top soil dry as it was when it came in the bag. After a few days like 5 days or so the plant will start to be perky again then after a few days it will start to show signs of not looking quite as well as the few days b4 and you will see the soil is really dry and when you life the pot it will be extremely light. At this time is when you want to want the plant will wick it up and after 2 or so watering cycles that you do correctly most plants will start having there leaves perked up all the time. 2. Make sure not to over do the nutrients when you water thinking it’s been away sense you watered on your next watering you can give whatever the lowest dose your veg nutrient has listed on the bottle and you will be fine 3. Dial back your light intensity for a week sometimes less if more and your plant will start to explode Happy growing Good luck

should I do an LST in a 4-5 days? And maybe some tips. Last time I anchored the plant from the bottom so that the roots wouldn't come out of the ground from below and the stem wouldn't bend so much, and then pulled the stem over the top, is this correct?

Yeah growmie, you can absolutely start LST in like 4–5 days, or even sooner honestly. The stem already looks soft and bendy enough. It’s at that perfect "about to explode" young stage. And yes, what you did last time is the right way: Anchor the base low to stop the plant from lifting out the soil when you bend it. Then pull the top over sideways and tie it down to the pot edge or wherever. That’s textbook growmie, seriously. Clean work. 🤞🍀♥️

weedfan133 I would welcome any advice from anyone! Let it recover for 8 days without watering, and yesterday watered with 150ml of water to see the reaction, and today all is well growth was seen. I bent the stem twice to get it down as gently as possible over time rather than at once. Overall so far the branches seem to be growing well. So far I don't give her anything but water so as not to overload her, I think while there is still something to eat in the ground, in a week I think I will start to fertilize a little with a minimal dose of fertilizer

BTW you have 45cm distance to a Mars Hydro TS 600 not dimable light with 100 Watt . 45 cm gives you 390PPFD for the first 2 weeks 100-200PPFD and high humidity . until flowertime up to and not more 500PPFD . in flower up to 1000PPFD . cause it looks like you drag down your plant with light :)) thats why she pray with there leaves

@RakonGrow, Yes you are right, I calculated by the PPFD of the lamp manufacturer and it says that 45cm is about 300ppfd and originally it was hanging in my box. My mistake was that I kept the lamp low enough for such a small plant, and also considering the size of the box. Now the lamp hangs at a distance of about 50-55cm and set the light mode 18/6. 24h of light also I think gave stress to the plant. I think I will no longer give 24h light to the plants, at least until I have a lamp with a dimmer, or a bigger box. Thanks for your advice, I appreciate it
