Okay Zkittlez is finally here and I can't wait to test her side by side with Blackberry :). She was placed in a glass of water on 3/19/2019 for 24 hours and then will be placed in a damp paper towel in a plastic bag prior to being popped into some Fox Farm's Froggy Frog and Ocean Forest soil. Above soil on 3/25/2019.
Week 2 complete and these girls are already off to a better start than the last round because of better soil and understanding of their response to LED lighting versus MH/HPS. They got a little feed this week to promote root growth / vitality. So far so good. Happy growing!
I really like the way she has been developing so far. I raised the lights about 4-6 inches and I think they are going to do a lot of vertical growth this week. They are looking about a week to 2 weeks ahead of the BDM, WCOG, and Blackberry in the poorer quality soil. The higher quality fox farm soil from a better distributor and an increase in the amount of perlite in the soil is facilitating oxygen to the roots and overall plant health. I think this round will even yield more than the previous round just because of the soil. I like the sharp serratedness of her leaves, broad indica-like too already. No nutrients will be given next week other than Recharge to help her absorb what's already stored and built up in the soil.
She has more than doubled in size this week. I think she’ll be in preflower or flower at the end of this week. She’s lookin good and I’m hoping for an even bigger stretch like wth the Lemon AK. Added a refresher of yeast/sugar CO2 to the grow tent. SHe will be introduced to flower nutes early this week.
Officially in pre-flower. She grew about 10 inches this week just like the Lemon AK but lost about 4 inches in height cuz i tied her down. I'm avoiding doing much defoliation this round cuz I feel like i stunted the growth of the BDM and WCOG last round trying to maximize light to the bud sites. I'm putting a greater emphasis on leaf tucking with the girls this round so that the flowers are getting direct light and so that she maintains the maximal surface area for photosynthetic activity. She was fed at the end of last week and will only be given Recharge this week. I love when they explode like this. Sometimes it's hard to believe it's the same plant from one week to the next cuz of how quickly they can grow.

SO far so smooth and officially in flower. She's the smallest of the group but I like her size for her description. I'm very happy with the bud site production so far.
She looks like a UFO to me 🛸. She's the fattest of all the girl so far. She starting to get a little fruity but nothing to like how she'll smell in another week, can't wait 🙌. She was starving this week and determined for the crew that they were getting fed earlier in the week.
My god this girl and one of the testers are so hungry and thirsty all of the time. I can barely keep up😅. She’s fattening up nicely. She’s fruity but much funkier than I expected.
She was very small for what I was expecting but super compact and covered in trichomes. What she lacked in size she made up for in density. She had a very fruity aroma with a dankness to it. This is a great smoke for after work. Idk if I could be productive with her but at the same time i was never couch locked. Just chillin. It's important to mention that I was growing with LEDs for the first time so her size can be attributable to my learning curves. I harvested this girl forever ago but apparently the update on that round didnt go through.
I definitely want to give this girl another go now that I am switched back to MH and HPS. Soil, MH, HPS, and fish emulsion from the tropical tank create the environment I am looking for in my "small scale" grows. Sorry I don't have any nug pics!
