D33jW Summer grow just for the fun of it – testing new genetics and trying out a few crop steering techniques.
Germination went smoothly – the seed popped fast and healthy, which is a good sign right from the start.
Mandarin Zkittlez Lemon F1 is a hybrid that blends the fruity, sweet profile of Mandarin Zkittlez with the citrus punch of Lemon Skunk. Expecting rich aromas: mandarin, citrus, a hint of skunk, and possibly some colorful fade. Medium size, well-branched structure with juicy, resin-loaded buds.
Starting conditions:
🌞 Temp: 26°C
💦 RH: 80%
🌱 PPFD: 200–300 µmol/m²/s
🌬️ VPD: ~0.7 kPa
Low light and high humidity for now. Planning to play around with some techniques as the grow goes on.
Curious to see what this strain has to offer – feels promising so far!

D33jW Week 1 Update 🌱
Conditions:
🌞 Temp: 26°C
💦 RH: 80%
💥 PPFD: 200–300 µmol/m²/s
🌬️ VPD: ~0.7–0.8 kPa
🌱 Observations:
Watering with small amounts works very well – roots actively search for moisture and expand quickly without the risk of overwatering the medium.
It's important to observe the leaves to ensure they maintain a healthy structure: they should be firm and lying flat.
Leaf curling or twisting can be a sign of too much stress (such as excessive PPFD, incorrect VPD, or overwatering).
Let’s keep pushing 🙌

D33jW 📅 Week 2 – Day 14
🌞 Temp: 27–28°C
💦 RH: 75–80%
💥 PPFD: 250–300 µmol/m²/s
🌬️ VPD: ~0.9–1.0 kPa
🌱 Observations:
The plants are growing evenly and vigorously, each already showing 4–5 developing side shoots.
It's a perfect moment to start planning upcoming training and selecting the main tops for SCROG.
Roots have begun to appear at the bottom of the pots — a great sign of a strong and active root system.
💧 Watering:
This week I increased the watering volume slightly.
One of the waterings included a bottom soak + light run-off.
The soil still has enough nutrients, so no additional feeding yet.
🛡️ Preventive Care:
Applied Clean Soil at 100–200 ml per plant as a preventive treatment against fungus gnats.
The plants responded very well — leaves are firm and slightly reaching upward.
🧠 Crop Steering TIP:
I’m still watering precisely and conservatively — only when the pots feel noticeably lighter.
This week I slightly raised the VPD (to 0.9–1.0) to encourage more vigorous, controlled growth.
Stay tuned – and keep growing 🌱

D33jW 📆 End of Week 1 FLO
This week was an important transition - the last one on organic nutrients.
➡️ I’ve been watering with plain water all week, and finished with Final Solution to flush the soil properly before switching to mineral nutrients.
I want to have full control over the feeding from now on - let’s see how the plants respond.
🌱 I'm really happy with the veg phase, good watering practices and airflow management paid off.
The plants are healthy, strong, with thick and solid stems - exactly what I was aiming for 💪
Now it's time for the bloom to shine 😎

Second week of flowering is done, and it was time for a proper lollipopping – the canopy was dense and humidity was getting high, so I cleaned up the lower parts to improve airflow and avoid any mold risks. Plants look much better now with more space and light where it matters.
This week I also switched to mineral nutrients. The transition went smooth, no signs of stress. Before that I flushed the soil with Final Solution, which probably helped with the switch.
Now the plan is to keep VPD on the higher side (targeting around 1.4 kPa) to push the plants toward flowering instead of leafy growth.
Waiting for the first frost to show up ❄️

This week they got their first dose of BAC Bloom Stimulator.
They look like they’re flowering really well — pistils are stacking nicely and already showing the first signs of frost with a fresh, gassy mandarin aroma in the air.
Only thing I’m not fully happy with is their dark green color, but I hope everything is under control now that they’re getting mineral nutrients.
Let’s see how it goes from here 👀💪

🌞 Temp: 26°C
💦 RH: 60%
💥 PPFD: 720 µmol/m²/s
🌬️ VPD: ~1.3 kPa
🌸 Observations:
This stage of flowering went smoothly warm and humid conditions allowed the plants to bulk up nicely. There's already a lot of visible frost, and the pistils are thick and bright white. Looking really promising!
🔄 Next steps:
Now it’s time to slowly start lowering temperature and humidity to enter a more generative phase encouraging terpene production and proper ripening. The real challenge begins now let’s see what we can pull off!
Stay tuned – and keep growing 🌱

Nothing major this week – the flowers are stacking up nicely considering the conditions we have during this summer run.
It's warm during the day and warm at night, so metabolism isn’t running at its best.
A lot depends on the weather now, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for cooler nights to help things along.
Stay wild – and keep growing 🌱

D33jW 📅 Week 11 – Day 76 / FLO42
Conditions are still challenging – warm and humid, making it hard to maintain a high VPD.
This week I removed some fan leaves to improve airflow between the buds.
Despite the tough climate, the flowers are swelling nicely, and the trichome coverage is looking great – no complaints here.
The forecast says a cooler and rainy week is coming, so I'm hoping to push them further into ripening with the help of a dehumidifier.
We keep moving forward – the finish line is getting close! 💪
