Zanarkand Week 4 startet cold and cloudy. Forced the plants to stand inside by the window. One more day to last, then temperature and sun hours have a come back. At the end of week 4, the plants have grown - but not as much as I'd wish. Nonthelesse, they look small but good - they even start to smell! Next week is going to be warm and sunny and I am hoping for a good grow.

Grow Questions

I mounded the soil around the stems of my plants to give them extra support, which creates a small hill in the center of the pot. Now I’m thinking about filling up the rest of the pot with soil to level it out. Is that a good idea? And what type of soil would be best for it?

Yep, that’s a solid move, filling the rest of the pot helps stabilize the plant, retain moisture, and promote more root growth from the buried stem. Just use the same soil mix you used originally (or as close as possible) so the drainage and nutrient profile stay balanced. Good luck and happy growing 👊👍

Doing so won't hurt anything, in fact you will end up with more roots, don't go above your cod leaves but, YES, add more soil if you like, it can help with both root and strength.
