Unruly999 Well only the strong survive lol .. successful germination of all 5 seeds from fast buds, however the 2 gorilla zs that I planted in fabric pots I didn’t plant deep enough and on both of but them the roots came to the top of the soil and with helmet head poppin up as well.. instead of playing them I pulled them. Lesson learned, also seed to soil so far is great for germination. This is just week one(sprouted): Day 1 Tuesday May 6th Red solo cup Gorilla Zkittlez Day 1 Wednesday May 7th White bucket OG Kush Day 1 Friday May 9th White container Chemdog Organic grow so just water this coming week, will probably up pot the solo cup on day 10ish depending on root structure. But yeah I know absolutely nothing, just been watching vids and blogs and wanted to grow something while I grow!! Thanks fast buds and marshydro!

Unruly999 Lessons from the Grow Tent – Wins, Losses, and New Beginnings This growing journey has been nothing short of a learning experience—and definitely an interesting one to say the least. I started off by planting five seeds, and while only two made it through to transplant, I’m proud to say they’re now thriving in their final pots. For the transplant, I used Great White mycorrhizae to support strong root development and took extra care while moving them from their starter containers. Once in their new homes, I gave them just enough water to produce a light runoff. So far, so good. Now, about the other three seeds that didn’t make it—here’s what went down. The Gorilla Z Duo: Both seeds germinated successfully, but once placed in soil, they ran into a common new-grower issue: helmet heads and exposed taproots. I didn’t act fast enough to correct the problem, mostly due to inexperience, and unfortunately, both seedlings didn’t survive. Chemdog’s Short Run: Chemdog had a similar fate, though she didn’t suffer from helmet head. Her taproot was pointing upward, and I attempted to intervene by gently removing and repositioning her. I also aerated the soil and tried to stabilize her upright. Sadly, she began to wilt over the next couple of days. Upon closer inspection, I realized that during my attempt to adjust her, the roots had become twisted and torn. It was a tough call, but I ultimately decided to let her go. These early losses taught me something important: as a new grower, being observant and quick to react is crucial. While it was disappointing to lose those three, I’ve gained valuable insights that I’ll carry forward. New Additions to the Grow To keep the momentum going, I decided to introduce some new genetics to the garden: Super Lemon Haze (Auto) – Canuck Seeds AK (Auto) – Canuck Seeds Moonbeam (Auto) – Multiverse Beans Fun fact: the Moonbeam seed actually arrived with a visible crack. I reached out to Multiverse about it, and they advised me to go ahead and germinate it while keeping them updated. So that’s exactly what I did. Current Status (as of Today): 2 plants are in their final pots and have been watered. 3 new seeds have been planted, including the cracked Moonbeam seed as a test germination. Not much to report until germination progresses, but I’ll be back with updates as soon as something new sprouts! Stay tuned—and as always, grow on.

Unruly999 Week 3ish Update Two weeks have passed since my last update, and I have to say—it’s been an interesting ride. We’re now in week three for both the OG Kush and Gorilla Skittles plants, and there’s already a noticeable difference between the two. I’m not entirely sure if it’s due to the fact that OG Kush is an indica strain and Gorilla Skittles is a hybrid sativa, or if the OG Kush has been a bit stunted in its growth. Either way, both are holding up fairly well. Feeling like the OG Kush needed a bit of encouragement, I decided to top it and follow up with some low-stress training (LST). Growth is decent, but for being nearly three weeks in, it’s still on the smaller side. I’m curious to see how it responds in the next week or two. Gorilla Skittles, on the other hand, looks fantastic. It’s also at the beginning of week three, and I’ve applied some LST without topping it—I want to see how it performs naturally with minimal intervention. Both plants experienced a bit of nutrient burn or light burn or something lol early on, but after adjusting the pH of the water, all new growth looks healthy and vibrant. Thankfully, the issue didn’t spread. I'm growing organically using a mix of bush doctors coco coir and fox farms ocean forest so just watering only when dry, and supplementing with Cal-Mag as needed. In addition to these two, I now have three younger plants that all sprouted about 10 days ago (on the 15th and 16th of this month). Moon Beam: This strain came from a cracked seed I received from Multiverse Beans. They told me to go ahead and plant it, and so far, it's doing great. I’m really excited to see how this one turns out. AK: This one is a bit smaller—similar in size and growth pattern to the OG Kush. I'm thinking the genetics play a role here, possibly an indica-dominant strain. Curious to see its development. Super Lemon Haze: Also looking strong and healthy. All three of these new additions are already showing faster growth compared to OG Kush at the same age. I’ve been carefully monitoring VPD, pH levels, and watching for pests like fungus gnats and fruit flies. I’m using sticky traps, mosquito bits, and neem oil to keep things under control, which has been effective so far. This being my first grow, I’ve learned a ton already from working with the older plants—OG Kush and Gorilla Skittles—and I’m now applying those lessons to the newer ones. I’ll admit, having five plants with different genetics might be a bit ambitious for a beginner, but I’d rather learn through hands-on trial and error than just watching videos. Again I don’t know what I’m doing however Right now, I’m feeling excited and proud. Everything is looking good—better than I expected, honestly. I can’t wait to share more updates in the coming weeks as these plants continue to develop.
