Bernd_Bonaparte Hey fellow growers! 👋
**Late Upload Alert 🚨**
I’m finally porting last year’s grow—my second-ever run—over from the *Grow with Jane* app to GrowDiaries. Please forgive any missing timestamps or odd photo order while I copy everything across.
---
### Quick Stats
* **Strain**: **GOAT'lato Auto** by Royal Queen Seeds × Tyson 2.0 (Gelato 44 × Cookies Auto) 🥊🍨
* **Container**: 20 L **FlexiPot** fabric pot in an AutoPot setup—straight into the final pot, zero transplants.
---
I learned a tonne (and made plenty of rookie mistakes) on my first grow—maybe I’ll share that chaos one day. This round went smoother, but you’ll still spot the occasional face‑palm moment.
Thanks for tagging along. Drop your tips, jokes, or goat emojis below—let’s grow together! 🌱🐐

Bernd_Bonaparte Week 2 — Settling In
Day 15–19 since sprout
Average temp 25 °C (day) / 19.6 °C (night).
RH riding high at 78 % → VPD 0.69 kPa (a bit rainforest‑y). 🦎
Spotted a tiny brown mushroom photobombing the seedling—proof the humidity party is getting out of hand. 🍄
Bumped LED to 30 % @ 35 cm, still aiming for compact growth.
Increased extraction fan speed + added gentle clip‑fan to drop RH a notch.
Watered ~150 ml pH‑6.2 around the root zone; edges still dry to lure roots outward.
No nutrients yet, but a light root stim spray planned for next week.
Verdict: Healthy green, stem firming up, first lateral growth visible. Time to tell the free‑range fungi the bar’s closed by dialing in that humidity. 🌱🚫🍄

Bernd_Bonaparte Week 3 — Leaf‑Tip Drama
Day 20–25 since sprout
Avg temp 24.9 °C (day) / 17.7 °C (night); RH 79 % → VPD 0.67 kPa (tropical evenings).
Extraction fan cranked up another notch to chase excess humidity.
No training or pruning yet—hands off, letting her do her thing.
Spotted rusty flecks on older leaf tips—keeping an eye out, but likely minor humidity or cal‑mag grumbles.
Hydration remains pure Gerolsteiner water, still additive‑free.
Sitting at 4–5 nodes with tight internodes and lively green foliage.
Verdict: Growing steadily; airflow tweaks continue while the leaf tips sort themselves out. Onward! 🌿🚀

Bernd_Bonaparte Week 5 — Bushy & Pre‑Flower Watch
Day 33–39 since sprout
Avg day temp 23.1 °C, RH 74 %, VPD 0.74 kPa.
Canopy exploding with new growth; slight vertical stretch starting but no visible pistils yet—still vegetative, right on the cusp of pre‑flower.
Hydration routine unchanged: plain Gerolsteiner only, no additives or trims.
Noted some light interveinal yellowing on older fans—keeping an eye on it before making any moves.
Verdict: She’s bulking up foliage and looks ready to flip herself soon. Flower announcement any day now! 🌿⏳

Bernd_Bonaparte Week 7 — Early Bloom Stretch
Day 47–53 since sprout
Avg day temp 23.9 °C, nights 16.4 °C; RH 66 %, VPD 1.00 kPa.
Clear white pistils covering the tops—around week 2–3 of true flower now.
Central cola shot up and is flirting with the LED bars; note to self: raise light or tuck tops.
Canopy extremely dense; in hindsight a pre‑flower defoliation would have helped. Pruning planned for next week.
Continuing feed: AutoPot reservoir topped with Compo Bio Bloom in Tap water.
Verdict: Stretch slowing, bud sites stacking. Next up: strategic leaf removal and a gentle light adjustment. 🌸🔧

Bernd_Bonaparte Week 9 — Mid‑Bloom Bulk
Day 61–67 since sprout
Temps trending downward with winter: noticeably cooler days & nights (exact figures not logged).
Feeding continues via AutoPot with Compo Bio Bloom in water.
Per notes, carried out a light defoliation to let more light and air into the jungle canopy.
Buds beefing up across all tops; central cola now brushing the LED rails—height management officially too late. 😅
Verdict: Dense greenery giving way to swelling flower sites. Next moves: hold feeding steady, monitor temps, and keep an eye on trichome development. 🌸📈

Bernd_Bonaparte Week 10 — Buds Everywhere
Day 68–74 since sprout
Avg RH 58 %; temps remain on the cool, winter‑esque side (exact numbers unlogged).
AutoPot reservoir refreshed with Compo Grow/Bloom nutrients (≈ 50 % label rate) mixed into plain tap water.
Canopy seen from above shows solid bud development across all branches; frosty sites forming despite the low temps.
Light defoliation last week paying off—better airflow and light penetration visible.
Verdict: Flower production in full swing. Plan: maintain feed, watch for colour shift in pistils, and start trichome checks soon. 🌼🔍
Bernd_Bonaparte Week 11 — Flush & Early Chop
Day 75–81 since sprout
Avg RH 55 %; temps dipping further with mid‑winter nights.
Flush: switched to plain tap water only (no nutrients) for the last 5 days.
Trichome scope misread + upcoming vacation forced an early harvest decision—better safe (and dry) than mouldy while I’m away.
Missed out on the strain’s signature late‑flower purple fade (saw those in other diaries—next time I’ll be patient!).
Verdict: Not the textbook finish, but buds are firm and aromatic. Lesson learned: plan vacations around harvest windows—or find a reliable plant‑sitter! 🌾✂️
GOAT'lato Auto (RQS × Tyson 2.0) — ️️️️️️️️️☆ (9/10)
Ease of grow: My first small autoflower and surprisingly forgiving—thrived even with minimal LST or defoliation (which I skipped).
Vigour & resilience: Handled early humidity swings and a winter temperature drop without fuss.
Flavour & aroma: World‑class—burst of ripe fruit, creamy undertone, and peppery finish; improves with cure.
Effect: Energetic head buzz that eases into a relaxing body stone—great anytime smoke.
Yield: Respectable despite early chop; room for improvement with full cycle and training.
Verdict: Near‑perfect starter strain for autos—tasty, potent, low‑maintenance. A solid 9/10; only docked a point because I’m sure it could shine even more with proper canopy work and full ripening.
Bernd_Bonaparte Harvest & Smoke Report
Second grow & 7‑week cure snapshot
Cured in jars with Boveda 62 % packs for exactly seven weeks before these photos.
Gave the buds a quick look‑over and sniff—no mould or off‑odours detected. ✅
Aroma & flavourRich, fruity bag appeal (think stone fruit and sweet citrus) with a peppery exhale once ground.
EffectTrue to the GOAT/Mike Tyson Auto hype: fast cerebral lift that melts into a relaxed, happy body glow—great post‑work wind‑down without instant couch‑lock.
Looks vs catalogueTall spear main and golf‑ball side buds match the breeder photos. Early chop meant the late‑flower purple fade didn’t appear, but resin and yield are respectable.
Wet‑Weight NoteFinal jar weight came in at 102 g. Using the common 65–70 % moisture‑loss rule of thumb, that back‑calculates to roughly 290–340 g wet. I didn’t weigh the fresh harvest, so the 290 g figure is just a math estimate—not an exact measurement.
Takeaways for Grow #3
Time holidays after harvest—or recruit a plant‑sitter.
Let her run the full distance to chase those purple hues.
Consider a slightly heavier mid‑bloom defoliation for denser nugs.
Overall: tasty smoke, solid potency, and a big confidence boost for only the second grow. Onward and upward! 🌿🔥
