Living Soil - Pink Gelato

Terp_Djiny The seedling is developing excellently, the taproot has actually already made an appearance at the bottom of the pot, now it’s time to let it root through the pot for a few days and develop some leaf mass.

Terp_Djiny The week went pretty well, the little plant has grown very nicely. I watered it a little twice.

Terp_Djiny The Pink Gelato is now planted in its 100L Living Soil pot. When planting, I spread some Dynomyco in the root zone and then watered it a bit. Over the next week, I will top it, and then depending on the need, I will activate the Blumatt drip system and give the first compost tea.

Terp_Djiny The little one has clearly gotten used to her new pot and is happily growing. By the end of the week, I cut off the tip. Now I’m giving her a few days to recover from the shock, and then I’ll cut out the first fan leaves to get more light to the lower branches. Additionally, to kick off in the new pots, I used a compost tea made from 100g of red wiggler worm humus and 100g of compost tea veggie mix in 10L of water from Almicanna.

Terp_Djiny I thinned the plant out right in the middle of the week and then stretched the first threads to tie down the shoots. By the end of the week, it turned out to be a good idea. There's no shortage of mass and new leaves.

Terp_Djiny Over the week, I set up the Blumat watering system along with the drip ring and tightened the ropes for the LST a few times. Otherwise, the plant is growing steadily.

Terp_Djiny The plant is growing really well. I topped all the shoots again and thinned them out a bit. I laid the cut leaves on the soil.

Terp_Djiny The last week of the growth phase is over. Today, the clock is being changed. The plant has now developed enough mass to fill the tent.

Terp_Djiny The first week of the flowering phase has started with a slight stretch. I've also incorporated the CalMagic kit from Almicanna. Now I'm just letting the plant continue to grow.

Terp_Djiny Throughout the week, the plant has stretched quite well, I hope that's it. I don't have any more space upwards. To counteract that, I set up the net today and bent the shoots underneath. I bent the main stems, and that way I could distribute the plant well in the tent.

Terp_Djiny Unfazed by the bending and pruning, the plant has developed purple flower buds over the week and is growing really well. I trimmed a few more shoots from the bottom.

Terp_Djiny The buds are growing and trichomes are popping up everywhere. The plant looks great. I gave the plant another booster with FPE. Over the next week, I will also brew a compost tea for the flowering phase.

Terp_Djiny The plant is in full bloom. The buds are growing vigorously, and trichomes are sprouting all over the leaves and stems. At the bottom, the plant is forming a few popcorn buds, but I didn't want to cut that much off. Now it's time to wait and enjoy the flowering phase. In between, I added FPE to the watering.

Terp_Djiny The week has started off pretty well, it's cooled down a bit and the temperatures are back below 30 degrees in the tent. The first hairs are slowly turning brown and the buds are still growing great. By the middle of the week, I watered again with FPE-enriched water. Unfortunately, I noticed a mite infestation over the weekend, so to combat this, I cut out the large infested leaves and immediately ordered ladybugs and predatory mites.

Terp_Djiny The ladybugs and predatory mites have arrived and then promptly moved into the tent. So far, I haven't seen any further deterioration, rather a standstill with the spider mites. Otherwise, I've kept the soil consistently at 100mbar moisture like always during the flowering phase. Once, I added FPE to the watering again.

Terp_Djiny The last week was really nice to watch. The hairs gradually turned brown. The trichome heads have partially taken on a reddish color. I then harvested with mostly milky to reddish-brown trichome heads.
