Borberad Warmest greetings to you, esteemed chroniclers of the green arts at Borberad! After the last episode, we now turn our gaze with renewed vigor and fruity hopes towards our latest project: 'Apricot Scent in Cans'. The title promises nothing less than the olfactory essence of sun-ripened apricots, preserved in the well-guarded cans of our grow room. Our chosen study subject for this fragrant mission is Apricot Auto from Fast Buds. With our tried-and-true method, we will meticulously track every developmental step of this self-flowering beauty. Let's watch as a hopeful seed ideally unfolds into a plant with sunny aromas and an uncomplicated nature, ultimately delighting us with a sweet, apricot-like harvest. May our 'cans' fill with the scent of ripe apricots. Fast Buds Apricot Auto * Genetics: Apricot Auto is a self-flowering strain created by crossing a carefully selected apricot variety with robust ruderalis genetics. This combination not only gives it the ability to flower automatically but also an expressive fruity terpene profile. The genetics tend towards a balanced hybridization with a slight indica influence. * Size: Apricot Auto is typically a rather compact to medium-sized plant, usually reaching heights between 60 and 100 centimeters. This makes it an ideal candidate for discreet growing endeavors and environments with limited space – our 'cans' should provide ample room. * Color: During the growth phase, Apricot Auto showcases juicy green tones. In the flowering stage, the buds can develop dense, resinous formations that may be streaked with bright orange to amber-colored pistils, reminiscent of the warm hue of ripe apricots. The trichomes form a sparkling layer that reveals its potency and hopefully intensifies the "scent in cans." * Flavor: The terpene profile of Apricot Auto is, as the name suggests, dominated by sweet and fruity apricot aromas, often accompanied by subtle notes of other tropical fruits and a hint of citrus. A refreshing and pleasant flavor experience that invigorates the senses and mentally transports us to sunny orchards – hopefully soon a reality as "scent in cans." * Characteristics: Apricot Auto is known for its relatively quick life cycle of about 9-10 weeks from seed to harvest. Its self-flowering nature makes it an uncomplicated choice for growers of all experience levels. It typically produces dense, resinous buds and is known for its pleasant effects, which can be both relaxing and slightly euphoric – a delightful "scent" for body and mind. Legal Notice: "Even with our new project 'Scent of Apricots in Cans', our unwavering principle applies: This grow diary serves the scientific documentation of a private and legal cultivation endeavor in accordance with applicable laws. Any abusive or illegal use of the plants or their products is strictly prohibited." At the beginning, we let the little seed float in a 1% hydrogen peroxide solution for about 20 hours. This disinfects the seed while it swells and softens the shell a bit faster. Afterwards, it goes into a Jiffy pot. To keep the humidity consistently high, we place it in a transparent covered container until the first "true" leaves unfold.

Borberad After the little flower successfully soaked in H2O2 and already showed a root tip after 20 hours, it went into the Jiffi until the first leaves opened. That marked the end of the germination week. The week went smoothly without any complications.

Borberad Bloom! We'll probably take a little more bloom mass from the bottom!? By the end of the week, slight Calmag deficiencies are showing on the leaves (See photo of the leaf "red/yellow spots") Calmag dosage will be temporarily increased to 3ml/l.

Borberad The last week was completely switched to osmosis water, and the last 2 days not watered at all. By the time of the harvest, the plant was already so dry that the leaves were drooping. For the dry trim, it would have been better to water a bit longer or harvest a bit earlier.
