Susquihanna Well, I am starting a new grow diary since my puppies ate the last one- thank goodness @Natrona had a FBASeed I could have!
I am trying to be very diligent in recording every step of this new adventure.
I used the paper towel method to germinate my seed and as you can tell, I had a tiny little sprout on day 1!!
I did not want to plant until I had a good long root.--Day 3 surprised me with the root that grew.
I went ahead and planted my Gorilla Cookie seed in FoxFarm Ocean Forest Potting Soil.
I am excited for this new diary adventure.

Susquihanna I took a screen shot of our crazy weather we are having right now. It's hard to be specific on the weather conditions week to week in our area. Some days it is 90*F and all the plants need nutrients and other days, as you can tell, it's very cool and the plants may go a day without. It's truly a day to day watch here in our area right now.
Wednesday, May 21st--Rained so much, I had to move Baby Gorilla inside to protect it.
Thursday, May 22nd--HAILED that's right, it hailed. Baby Gorilla was safe inside but my other plants took a beating like a pro!
I put Gorilla cookies under Frostbanger for protection until GC gets a little bigger.
Stay tuned for more --who knows what story Gorilla Cookies will tell:) 😘

Susquihanna This FB Auto is reported to be "Super-reliable and incredibly resistant. This cultivar inherited all the best qualities from her parents, making it a fool-proof strain even for beginner growers."
So far, so good. Gorilla cookies is growing great fresh, new soil from Fox Farm and water.
I'll have to keep a close watch on the weather this week. The forecast for the next 10 days calls for 7 days of rain! Ii can't believe it has rained sooo much this Spring. I will have to make sure Gorilla cookies doesn't get soaked.
Stay tuned, like and comment!! I will respond to ya:)

Susquihanna Buying nutrients can get so expensive so I have decided to use tried and true miracle grow. I had some left over from last summer and I am going to use it for this grow. I actually have never tried growing cannabis with miracle grow, so this is a first for me.
Miss Gorilla grew a lot this week and produced a lot of new growth. It makes me think this plant may be a bushy plant.
According to FB website: "This lady grows stout and bushy, reaching around 150cm while displaying a compact yet robust appearance with wide inter-nodal spacing. She will develop a thick main cola with fat side branches all around while not requiring much maintenance. She can produce up to 650 gr/m2 in around 10 weeks, putting her among the highest-yielding strains we’ve ever created."

Susquihanna Gorilla cookies has grown a lot. She is 18 inches tall!
I took a picture so show viewers how much growth she has up under the main cola area. I decided that I needed to do a LST on her and tie down 4 of her stems. If you look at the pictures, you can see the LST really opened her up a lot.
Looking at the weather this week, we are going to have a lot of bright, sunny days. That means I will have to water and feed my plants regularly. It will be nice to have a break from all of the rain that we have had.
I bought some "Fruit Fly Sticky Traps Fungus Gnat Traps Insect Trap for Plants Kitchen Indoor Outdoor White Flies Mosquitos Fungus Gnats Flying Insects Houseplant Gifts" off of Amazon that I really like. I don't know if anyone else has a buggy problem, but it seems like every time I get a new bag of soil, there are little gnat like bugs flying around. I tried to show my viewers how many bugs the sticky traps caught.
I am very interested in how my FBA Gorilla Cookies is going to grow --I usually buy 3 containers of FoxFarm nutrients but for this grow I am using Miracle Grow. I had some left over and decided to use up what I had instead of buying something new.
As always, please leave me comment and EAT COOKIES!!!

Susquihanna OMG! Miss Gorilla was showing her strength this week and grew a whopping 9 inches this week. The sun is shining and she is drinking 1 gallon of nutrients a day.
@Fastbuds website says, "Plant Appearance This lady likes to stay low and will usually grow to a height of 60-130cm. Her growth structure is short and bushy, thanks to her sativa dominance, and will grow one main central cola, with fat side branches all around. Once flowering starts, expect Gorilla Auto to fill out thick and fast, as she begins to pack on size, weight and go crazy with the trichome output. From seed to harvest she is ready in 9-10 weeks, where she will finish with a short and fat appearance."
So far, Miss Gorilla is keeping up to her description.
I took a magnified picture and it shows me that Miss Gorilla will probably be in flower next week. It looks like she is in the beginning stages of flower.
@Fastbuds website said to, "add support around this strain, to help the side branches during the flowering stage" which I have done by LST with her side branchs. I have tied them down to allow light in and support growth.
I am feeding her 1 gallon on nutrients a day right now and @Fastbuds website said, She can take a big feed especially during week 3 and onwards." So, I am on target with that information.
I also have a pool umbrella protecting all of my plants from the direct sun.
As always, please comment and let me know what you think of Miss Gorilla.

Susquihanna Whew, I am a few days late in posting but I have been MIA. Glad to be back to my plants and gardening. My faithful follower @hindugod even reached out to me to see why I was late in posting my pictures. Thanks for keeping up with me, as we are growing our Gorilla Cookies at the same time so as to compare our results.
A Disney Vacation was good for me but not so much for my plants. I also left my husband and two livestock in charge of feeding and protecting my plants from the elements of nature. Gorilla Cookies continues to grow tall but her leaves are getting burned AND I have some very poor looking leaves. So I don't know if this is a feed problem or a Mother Nature problem or both????
Love taking pictures with my new magnifier. Love watching the flowering stage close up.
It has been quite hot this past week, but hopefully we will get a break in the weather. Please continue to enjoy my diary and let's chat it up friends.

Susquihanna This week has been sunny, hot and wet. I have not done a thing except to keep an eye on Miss Gorilla Cookies. It has been a hot and rainy week and I did not feed this plant this week. That is why I did not record Ph levels and PPM, etc this week. I have really wanted to give this diary an honest, straight up review of Gorilla Cookies growing in whatever Mother Nature threw her way. She is tall and thin but has a lot of bud growth. I am eager to see how big her buds will get.
One thing that I have not been super pleased with is using Miracle Grow as a nutrient. This outside grow was an experiment using Miracle and not my typical Fox Farm nutrients. At this point in my grow, Miracle Grow needs to remain for garden vegetables and flowers NOT cannibas.
As a result, I have made an Executive Decision and will going add some @Advance Nutrients Jungle Juice for the remainder this grow.
@Hindugod and I have been growing our Gorilla Cookie plants simultaneously and his plants look thicker than mine do. His weather has not been as hard on his plants as I have had here in Virginia. He is also using different nutrients. It is fun watching these 2 Gorilla cookies grow differently and the same:)
Stay tuned to next week and comments are always welcome. Thanks for visiting--susquihanna

Susquihanna Whew, what a hot, humid and wet week. Although we had a major storm this week, Gorilla Cookies proved her strength to withstand:) This week I took the time to go to the Fast Buds website and read about the "plant appearance." FBA says Miss Gorilla Cookies will grow to a height of 150cm which is 59 inches. My Gorilla Cookies is 33 inches tall. So, I can boast about that, however, I can not boast about my Gorilla Cookies being "Stout and Bushy." I even looked on the FB website to see some pictures of other growers Gorilla Cookies and mine are tall and lean. BUT, my plant stems look very similar to the plant stems on FB website.
I did stop using Miracle Grow and started giving my plant Advanced Nutrients!! I am hoping this will be good for bud growth.
Fast Buds does boast Gorilla Cookies will be completed around 10 weeks and that I will " be amazed at the insane trichome production. Especially in the final weeks when she definitely packs on some weight and you see the buds getting white in resin and reeking of cookies and gas."
I am excited to see what the next two weeks will produce. Miss Gorilla Cookies has definitely proven to be resilient because we have certainly had some tough weather to deal with and I gave my Gorilla Cookies Miracle Grow nutrients which I would never do again.
Please leave me a comment and let's chat it up:)

Susquihanna Wow, does this Gorilla Cookies smell great!! If you have been following me, then you know that the weather here in my area has been rough. BUT, according to @Fastbuds website, Gorilla Cookies is defined as being "Super-reliable and incredibly resistant. This cultivar inherited all the best qualities from her parents, making it a fool-proof strain even for beginner growers." And, my gorilla cookies has "Chunky dense buds" just like the website said it would.
I used my Max-see magnifier to take some close up pictures of Miss Gorilla Cookies trichomes. She is getting closer and closer to a harvest.
It rained a little this week so I only fed her a couple of times. I am currently feeding her @AdvanceNutrients Jungle Juice.
I have only taken about 10 leaves off at the most during this grow. I just didn't need to open up any space for sunlight, so I left them all in contact.
I also had a couple of caterpillars? that decided it was a good idea to visit my flowering plants. Little do they know we do not want them to visit! I included a picture of the caterpillar that visited. Any thoughts?
Take a look at the picture that I circled on. I circled where the stem is bending down because of the bud weight.
All in all, it was a good week. Miss Gorilla cookies in concentrating on her bud growth.
As always, Let's chat it up! See ya next week.

Susquihanna This was another hot, hot week with a big rainstorm. Take a look at the measuring cup, it is full of rainwater. Gorilla Cookies continues to smell and is very sticky. It is a tall and lanky plant but look at the heavy buds weighing down the stems. It should be ready to take down in a couple of weeks.
Half way through this grow, I had to stop using Miracle Grow and change my grow plan. I decide to use Advance Nutrients Jungle Juice for the rest of the grow. Jungle Juice’s selling point is that it is the only nutrient that I should need during the entire grow. One just need to make the solution stronger as the plant matures.
The directions say to “stir vigorously” and that is true. It is very clumpy and I had to stir and shake the bottle a lot. As your plant is in veg and growing larger, directions say to up your Jungle Juice to 4 ml per liter. If my calculations are correct, I am using approx. 5 tablespoons per 5 gallon bucket.
1 gal is 3.78 liters
5 gallons=18.92 liters
4ml jungle juice per liter x 18.92 liters= 75.7 ml which is = to 5.119 tablespoons per 5 gallon bucket of water
As the end of the summer is quickly approaching, I have spent some time reflecting this week on all of the contests that I have entered and not won this summer. It can be a little frustrating because of all the time I have spent taking pictures and writing commentary. But, instead of it getting me down, I have to think about all of the positive take aways and I want to share them on this platform.
I have read a lot of diaries and now know why I am just an apprentice. I have a lot to learn from all of you. There are some really good growers with a lot of experience and crazy grow techniques. So much knowledge is on this platform-it’s mind boggling.
To be a great grower, you must be willing to be vulnerable and put yourself out there and try different suggestions and new techniques. I have made a few friend that I enjoy chatting with. I enjoy reading comments versus just seeing likes.
My best friend on grow diaries is @Natrona and my neighbor as well. She has been growing longer than I have been so I routinely learn from her. This summer I learned to mix 1 cup of Perlite into my soil. I can see where my plants need the air flow. And, I now I only defoliate fan leaves that absolutely need to be gone. I let the fan leaves stay on until they fall off. I want my buds to pull all the nutrients they can out of the fan leaves. I also bought 2 new tools that @natrona suggested. The first was a water PH tester and the second was my Max-ee Magnifier which is informative and fun to use.
As always, Let’s Chat it up AND Likes and comments are appreciated
Gorilla Cookies Survived! She was an easy grow and VERY RESISTANCE. She made it through a hail storm and 100* weather. The "Dog Days of Summer" had me inside in the air conditioner while Gorilla Cookies was crushing it outside.
I started this grow using Miracle Grow Nutrients which was a disgrace to Gorilla Cookies. I will NEVER use Miracle Grow on my plants again. Half way through this grow, I switched to Advance Nutrients Iguana Juice and LOVED using it. I also used it for my regular garden and my plants loved it, too. I cut a couple of buds off so I could use my Max-see magnifying glass on them. I could use the Max-see outside but it is very difficult to hold my plant still while trying to focus the Max-see. Much easier to cut a bud off and take pictures inside the house. Staying true to her description, Gorilla Cookies took 11 weeks from seed to harvest and now we have to wait to see what her dry weight will be and a smoke report. Stay tuned!!

Susquihanna Happy to report that Miss Mango Kush survived 1 hail storm and the dog days of summer. Temperatures reached 100* and Gorilla Cookies weather the heat like she weathered the hail storm. Completely resistant to both. She was an easy grow. The only problem was me, the grower. I should be ashamed that I tried using Miracle Grow as an experiment. Glad I figured it out half way through the grow and changed my nutrient to @AdvancedNutrient Jungle Juice. Her wet weigh in was 64.12 grams and I am excited to see what her dry weight and smoke report will be.
Thanks for following me in this grow.
As always, comments are wonderful and I like hearing from you.
@Hightai90, @Fast_Buds, I don’t know what you mean?? But a cheater I am not!!! Don’t be ugly this is supposed to be fun contests - this is also the first time I am trying to do diaries.
@Hightai90, you are mistaken.@Fast_Buds
The 2 diaries of gorilla cookies are grown by 2 different people. Susquihanna was in contest with another plant that died. I gave her a new seed to start. @HinduGod who follows her had a gorilla cookies seed and suggested they grow at the same time. That's all. No cheating.
