Germination
3mo ago
Susquihanna This week was all about germination. I used a wet paper towel and a baggie. I tried to show in the video how wet I actually get the paper towel when getting ready to germinate a seed. It can't be sopping wet and it can't be too dry. The paper towel has to be wet enough that you can squeeze about 1 tsp of water out of it. This little seed started germinating on Day 1 but I gave it another day to get a bigger tap root. Now it is in some soil and we are waiting for it to grow!! Come back next week for an update:)

Susquihanna So this week, Miss Mango grew almost 2 inches!! So proud of her. I put a screen shot of the crazy weather we have here. I also placed Miss Mango under another plant until she matures a little and I can transplant her into a 5 gallon pot. I included a picture of my livestock sticking her head in through the fence that is meant to keep the livestock out! Hope you continue to visit Miss Mango on her grow journey! Likes and comments would be appreciated.

Susquihanna Miss Mango is growing strong this week. She grew 1 inch for a grand total of 3 inches. She has a very strong, straight stem and perfect leaves. I love the picture taken looking directly down on the top of the leaves. It is amazing to see her uniformity. I included a screenshot of this weeks temperature. It is going to rain, once again, all week. Hopefully, Miss Mango does not fall prey to any damage during this weather.!! Stay tuned, like this page and comment. Let's get this party started!!

Susquihanna I was surprised to see that Miss Mango didn't grow as much as my Gorillas Cookies. However, Zamnesia website says: "This plant stays close to the earth, only reaching 2.5ft indoors and around 3.2ft outdoors. " So, it would make sense as to why Miss Mango is shorter than her peers and very wide. It is going to rain a lot this week according to the forecaster, so I will have to keep a watch on Miss Mango.

Susquihanna Miss Mango is growing well and reached a full 12 inches which is actually 6 inches shorter than Gorilla Cookies and I started them at the same time. When I looked on Zamensia website is said, "Cultivating Mango Kush Automatic is an easygoing affair thanks to some robust and reliable autoflowering genetics. This plant stays close to the earth, only reaching 80cm indoors and around 100cm outdoors." It also said that Mango Kush takes, "it takes is 10–11 weeks from seed to harvest to really get the best out of this cultivar. At which point, Mango Kush Automatic has the potential to yield 200g/plant when grown outside under ideal conditions." That means Miss Mango should be ready about the end of July or first week of August. GAME ON:) Comments are welcome and let's watch Miss Mango tango dance herself to a winning harvest. Stay tuned!!

Susquihanna Miss Mango was reaching for the sun this week. She grew 5 inches this week, however, it is still on the small side of 17 total inches. There is a lot of undergrowth on Miss Mango, so I am thinking this may be a bushy plant. The @Zamnesia website: "This plant stays close to the earth, only reaching 2.5ft indoors and around 3.2ft outdoors." I included a magnified picture of a possible flower. @Zamnesia website it says, "All it takes is 10–11 weeks from seed to harvest to really get the best out of this cultivar." So, at 5 weeks, with a magnifier, I am seeing the beginnings of flower. It is only It has been dreadfully hot here and I am giving 1 gallon of nutrients per day. I also have a large pool umbrella shading my plants from the direct sunlight.

Susquihanna Whew, I am a few days late in posting but I have been MIA. Glad to be back to my plants and gardening. My faithful follower @hindugod even reached out to me to see why I was late in posting my pictures. A Disney Vacation was good for me but not so much for my plants. I also left my husband and two livestock in charge of feeding and protecting my plants from the elements of nature. Miss Mango Kush continues to grow tall. According to Zamnesia Seeds, she could reach a height of 38 inches outdoor. Our weather has been kinda crazy and hellish- as in HOT- and her leaves are getting burned on the edges even though I have a pool umbrella protecting her from the direct sun. Miss Mango Kush is NOT a bushy plant but rather a tall, lean plant. If you look at her pictures, you can see a lot of buds forming. It has been quite hot this past week, but hopefully we will get a break in the weather. Please continue to enjoy my diary and let's chat it up friends.

Susquihanna This week has been sunny, hot and wet. I have not done a thing except to keep an eye on Miss Zamnesia Mango Kush. It has been a hot and rainy week and I did not feed this plant this week. That is why I did not record Ph levels and PPM, etc this week. I have really wanted to give this diary an honest, straight up review of Miss Zamnesia Mango Kush growing in whatever Mother Nature threw her way. She is tall and thin but has a lot of bud growth. I am eager to see how big her buds will get. One thing that I have not been super pleased with is using Miracle Grow as a nutrient. This outside grow was an experiment using Miracle and not my typical Fox Farm nutrients. At this point in my grow, Miracle Grow needs to remain for garden vegetables and flowers NOT cannibas. As a result, I have made an Executive Decision and will going add some @Advance Nutrients Jungle Juice for the remainder this grow. I don't have a lot to report this week except my outside grows are tall and lanky plants. My last video shows you all 3 of my outside grows and they are all tall and lanky. And, they have had all of the same Miracle Grow nutrients and Mother Nature(sun, heat and rain). Stay tuned to next week and comments are always welcome. Thanks for visiting--susquihanna

Susquihanna Whew, what a hot, humid and wet week. Although we had a major storm this week, Zamnesia Mango Kush proved her strength to withstand all of the elements that have continued to be thrown her way. This week I took the time to go the Zamnesia Website and read about some of her characteristics. I wanted to read up on her because I had been giving her Miracle Grow nutrients and didn't feel like she was my best grow. As a result, I have made an executive decision to give her Advance Nutrients Jungle Juice Grow. I am hoping this will help Zamnesia produce great big buds. On another note, My Zamnesia Mango Kush is only 31 inches tall, whereas Zamnesia Seeds says it should boast a height of 39 inches for an outdoor grow. I am excited to see what the next couple of week will produce. Miss Zamnesia Mango Kush has definitely proven to be resilient because we have had some terrible tough weather to deal with during this grow and Mango Kush has stood the test of time. Until next week, please comment and let's chat it up:)

Susquihanna I used my Max-see magnifier to take some close up pictures of Miss Mango Kushes trichomes. She is getting closer and closer to a harvest. It rained a little this week so I only fed her a couple of times. I am currently feeding her @AdvanceNutrients Jungle Juice. I have not had to defoliate this grow. I just didn't need to open up any space for sunlight, so I left them all in contact. I also had a snail that decided Miss Mango was a good home for her. I have no idea where that came from unless a bird dropped it. All in all, it was a good week. Miss Mango Kush is concentrating on her bud growth. As always, Let's chat it up! See ya next week.

Susquihanna This was another hot, hot week with a big rainstorm. Take a look at the measuring cup, it is full of rainwater. Zamnesia Mango Kush continues to smell and is very sticky. It is tall and with packed buds It should be ready to take down in a couple of weeks. Half way through this grow, I had to stop using Miracle Grow and change my grow plan. I decide to use Advance Nutrients Jungle Juice for the rest of the grow. Jungle Juice’s selling point is that it is the only nutrient that I should need during the entire grow. One just need to make the solution stronger as the plant matures. The directions say to “stir vigorously” and that is true. It is very clumpy and I had to stir and shake the bottle a lot. As your plant is in veg and growing larger, directions say to up your Jungle Juice to 4 ml per liter. If my calculations are correct, I am using approx. 5 tablespoons per 5 gallon bucket. 1 gal is 3.78 liters 5 gallons=18.92 liters 4ml jungle juice per liter x 18.92 liters= 75.7 ml which is = to 5.119 tablespoons per 5 gallon bucket of water As the end of the summer is quickly approaching, I have spent some time reflecting this week on all of the contests that I have entered and not won this summer. It can be a little frustrating because of all the time I have spent taking pictures and writing commentary. But, instead of it getting me down, I have to think about all of the positive take aways and I want to share them on this platform. I have read a lot of diaries and now know why I am just an apprentice. I have a lot to learn from all of you. There are some really good growers with a lot of experience and crazy grow techniques. So much knowledge is on this platform-it’s mind boggling. To be a great grower, you must be willing to be vulnerable and put yourself out there and try different suggestions and new techniques. I have made a few friend that I enjoy chatting with. I enjoy reading comments versus just seeing likes. My best friend on grow diaries is @Natrona and my neighbor as well. She has been growing longer than I have been so I routinely learn from her. This summer I learned to mix 1 cup of Perlite into my soil. I can see where my plants need the air flow. And, I now I only defoliate fan leaves that absolutely need to be gone. I let the fan leaves stay on until they fall off. I want my buds to pull all the nutrients they can out of the fan leaves. I also bought 2 new tools that @natrona suggested. The first was a water PH tester and the second was my Max-ee Magnifier which is informative and fun to use. As always, Let’s Chat it up AND Likes and comments are appreciated

Miss Mango Kush Nailed it! She was an easy grow and VERY RESISTANCE. She made it through a hail storm and 100* weather. The "Dog Days of Summer" had me inside in the air conditioner while Miss Mango was crushing it outside. Just like the website boasts, "Cultivating Mango Kush Auto flower is an easygoing affair thanks to some robust and reliable genetics." I started this grow using Miracle Grow Nutrients which was a disgrace to Miss Mango. I will NEVER use Miracle Grow on my plants again. Half way through this grow, I switched to Advance Nutrients Iguana Juice and LOVED using it. I also used it for my regular garden and my plants loved it, too. I cut a couple of buds off so I could use my Max-see magnifying glass on them. I could use the Max-see outside but it is very difficult to hold my plant still while trying to focus the Max-see. Much easier to cut a bud off and take pictures inside the house. Staying true to her description, Miss Mango took 11 weeks from seed to harvest and now we have to wait to see what her dry weight will be and a smoke report. Stay tuned!!

Susquihanna Happy to report that Miss Mango Kush survived 1 hail storm and the dog days of summer. Temperatures reached 100* and Miss Mango weather the heat like she weathered the hail storm. Completely resistant to both. She was an easy grow. The only problem was me, the grower. I should be ashamed that I tried using Miracle Grow as an experiment. Glad I figured it out half way through the grow and changed my nutrient to Advanced Nutrient Jungle Juice. Her wet weigh in was 64.12 grams and I am excited to see what her dry weight and smoke report will be. I almost forgot! I had a friendly caterpillar that caused one of my buds to rot, so it was a clear indication that I was taking this plant down. Not risking more pests!! Thanks for following me in this grow. As always, comments are wonderful and I like hearing from you.
