The California Haze from Humboldt germinated almost exactly like the Hi-Biscus. 🌱 Two out of three seeds popped without any issue.
One seed, however, didn’t germinate at all. After a few days, I dug it up carefully – it was slightly cracked open, so I decided to give it another chance.
Placed it in a moist paper towel inside a zip lock bag. Waited another 48 hours – still nothing.
Finally, I opened the seed – and it was completely empty. No root, no life, nothing inside.
It happens – but still a little disappointing. 🌾😕
Die California Haze von Humboldt hat sich beim Keimprozess fast genauso verhalten wie die Hi-Biscus. 🌱 Zwei von drei Samen sind ohne Probleme gekeimt.

Ein Samen hingegen ist nicht aufgegangen. Nach ein paar Tagen habe ich ihn vorsichtig ausgegraben – er war leicht geöffnet, also dachte ich mir: gib ihm noch eine Chance.
Ich habe ihn in ein feuchtes Papiertuch gelegt und in einen Zip-Lock gepackt. Nach weiteren 48 Stunden: immer noch nichts.
Also habe ich den Samen geöffnet – und er war komplett leer. Keine Wurzel, kein Leben, einfach nichts drin.
Passiert – aber natürlich trotzdem etwas enttäuschend. 🌾😕

🇬🇧 California Haze is thriving! 🌱💚
This week, California Haze is already getting nutrients and responding really well to the feedings. The roots are reaching the bottom of the pots, so I think by next Friday it’s time for transplanting otherwise, there might be problems with root binding. ⚠️
For the seedling stage, I always use a mix of Canna Coco A + B, Rhizobacter, Calmag Agent, and Cannazyme. Once they’re in their final pots, I switch entirely to BioTabs.
Why? Because this way, the young plants get a high amount of nutrients quickly, without relying on the soil to process it first. In my experience, this encourages healthy and fast growth. 🚀

Humboldt California Haze
This one is causing significantly more problems starting with a seed that didn’t germinate, and now showing a magnesium deficiency. Even though it gets the same treatment as the others, it seems to have either a much higher nutrient demand or a clear deficit. I really hope it stabilizes during the growth phase, otherwise that would be a real shame. 🌿😕⚠️

Diese Sorte macht deutlich mehr Probleme angefangen mit einem Samen, der gar nicht gekeimt ist, bis hin zu einem Nährstoffmangel, insbesondere Magnesium. Obwohl sie genau wie alle anderen versorgt wird, scheint sie entweder einen deutlich höheren Verbrauch oder ein klares Defizit zu haben. Ich hoffe sehr, dass sie sich während der Wachstumsphase noch stabilisiert sonst wäre das wirklich schade. 🌱❗

Humboldt California Haze: Magnesium Mystery
Unfortunately, the plants aren’t improving. I’m really surprised they show such a severe magnesium deficiency. I'm using Boom Boom Spray from Bio Tabs as a preventive measure, and a foliar feed with a 2% Epsom salt solution, spraying the undersides of the leaves. But with this strain, it doesn’t seem to help.
With all my other strains, my usual Canna plan works perfectly — just not with this one.
Does anyone have an idea what could help here? I’m definitely trying to save her. 💔🌿😟

Humboldt California Haze: Magnesiummangel-Rätsel
Leider wird es bei den Pflanzen nicht besser. Es wundert mich total, dass sie so einen massiven Magnesiummangel aufweisen. Ich verwende vorbeugend Boom Boom Spray von Bio Tabs und eine Blattdüngung mit 2 % Bittersalz und besprühe die Blattunterseiten. Aber bei dieser Sorte scheint das nichts zu bringen.
Bei allen anderen Sorten funktioniert mein Canna-Plan wunderbar – nur hier nicht.
Hat vielleicht jemand eine Idee, was helfen könnte? Ich versuche auf jeden Fall, sie noch zu retten. 💔🌱😟

These plants caused quite a bit of trouble during germination and the seedling phase—very different from other strains I’ve grown. I suspect the seedling medium didn’t have enough nutrients and the starter pots were too small. But since transplanting, the plants have been recovering beautifully, and I’ve already had to start LST training. 🌱

The repotting really paid off! 💥 The ladies have become super bushy this week and took off with some serious growth. After the photo session, I started defoliating and continued with the LST (Low Stress Training) as planned 🌱✂️📸.
Another big win was switching to BioTabs – the fertilizer is once again proving its worth!

Das Umtopfen hat sich richtig gelohnt! 💥 Die Ladys sind diese Woche ordentlich buschig geworden und haben einen starken Schub hingelegt. Nach dem Fotoshooting habe ich direkt mit dem Entlauben begonnen und das LST (Low Stress Training) konsequent fortgesetzt.
Besonders positiv ist auch der Wechsel auf BioTabs der Dünger zeigt wieder mal, was er kann!

This week I had absolutely no time to take care of the plants and you can tell, they look a bit wild 🌿😅. Still (or maybe because of that?), they’ve exploded with growth and just won’t stop! 📈💥
After taking some photos for documentation, I defoliated the plants to prep them for the upcoming grow week ✂️🌱.
Since switching to BioTabs as the sole fertilizer, the plants have been consistently healthy, vigorous, and super agile 💚. I'm still very happy with the decision to use this fertilizer – it’s really paying off so far! 👍😊

Diese Woche hatte ich leider überhaupt keine Zeit, mich um die Pflanzen zu kümmern dementsprechend sehen sie auch etwas wild aus 🌿😅. Trotzdem (oder gerade deshalb?) sind die Pflanzen regelrecht explodiert und wachsen ohne Ende! 📈💥
Nach der Photodokumentation wurde ordentlich entlaubt, um die Mädels für die kommende Woche vorzubereiten ✂️🌱.
Seitdem die Pflanzen ausschließlich mit BioTabs gedüngt werden, sind sie einfach durchweg gesund, kräftig und erstaunlich agil 💚. Ich bin nach wie vor sehr zufrieden mit der Entscheidung, diesen Dünger zu verwenden bisher hat sich das voll ausgezahlt! 👍😊

California Haze heavy LST & defoliation, and the stretch is ON! 🌿🚀
This week I defoliated twice and pushed LST hard to shape the plants quickly aiming for 6 main shoots per lady. 💪
They’re thriving with BioTabs nutrients, and the smell is intense had to start the carbon filter because it got wild! 😮💨
Oh, and the stretch has officially begun these girls are reaching for the stars now! 🌱📈

Diese Woche habe ich zweimal entlaubt und intensiv LST-Training gemacht, um die Pflanzen schnell in Form zu bringen Ziel waren 6 Haupttriebe pro Pflanze. 💪
Sie wachsen super mit dem Dünger von BioTabs, und der Geruch ist jetzt schon extrem der Kohlefilter läuft seit dieser Woche! 😮💨
Und ganz wichtig: Der Stretch hat richtig begonnen die Mädels schießen jetzt ordentlich in die Höhe! 🌱📈

Humboldt California Haze: Currently growing very well, very dense despite having been defoliated twice already. Good stretch. I think I’ll move the plants into the large tent as soon as my other tent is ready, so they have more space for flowering. I’ll now try to get the shoots under control, as they’ve gotten a bit out of hand. 🌿💪🌞

Humboldt California Haze: Aktuell sehr gut im Wachstum, sehr dicht trotz bereits zweimaliger Entlaubung. Guter Stretch. Ich denke, dass ich die Pflanzen ins große Zelt umsiedeln werde, sobald mein anderes Zelt fertig ist, damit sie für die Blüte mehr Platz haben. Jetzt versuche ich noch, die Triebe in den Griff zu bekommen, da sie etwas eskaliert sind. 🌱

As you can see in the grow, the Cali Haze had some issues right from the start. Later on, the problems became less noticeable. The only downside now is that after the last defoliation, it stretched out extremely. 😅
Other than that, the plant looks healthy just a bit naked. 🍃
We’ll see what happens next! 👀🌱

Wie man im Grow erkennen kann, hatte die Cali Haze von Anfang an ein paar Probleme. Im späteren Verlauf wurden diese weniger. Dumm nur, dass sie sich nach dem letzten Entlauben extrem gestreckt hat. 😅
Ansonsten sieht die Pflanze gesund aus – nur etwas nackt. 🍃
Mal sehen, was da noch kommt! 👀🌱

The bulking phase is going great, and the aroma is developing beautifully 🌸. Unfortunately, the summer days are very hot and humid, so I’m curious to see how this will affect the plants ☀️💧.
Apart from that, they show no signs of stress or deficiencies.
