Week 12, concluding the first week of flowering:
Hi(gh) Guys,
Kudos! For Royal Queen Seeds that is, because Honey Cream seems to develop very evenly. Until now Iβd always had one or two plants that where a little bit shorter, or underdeveloped if you will. Yesterday and today Iβd give all the Honeyβs a once over, sacrificing some branches to the greater good and defoliating for seeing the light, and last but not least adjusting the height. Every plant now has 4,6 branches on average, and they are all 42cm high. That is except 3 who are 40cm. So, Iβll be adjusting the title accordingly.
Losing the leaf maybeβs retarding the branches growth a bit further next week, but considering this is the second week of flowering their mustnβt be much more stretching left in them (Iβd hope). Iβd installed the second lamp for the upperdeckerβs, plant Jβs already inside, check the last pictureβs above.
Maybe Honey Cream isnβt the easiest strain to match my growing technique, certainly because of the grow power of this strain. For the third time since transplanting them into the 11 liter pots Iβd spend a lot of time adjusting the plants to the desired form. Iβm expecting to be more efficient on this part next time. Iβm happy with the result. For the rest of the cycle I can now sit back in my garden chair and see how things develop.
Looks promising!
Iβm looking forward to see you back and check on the Honey Creamβs progress next week!
;-) Grtz, Budcrack ;-)
@James, what do you think, do the Honey Cream's continue growing bud, and then start smelling strong late in the cycle? Seems that the bud is still growing after 4 weeks of flowering. Grtz, Budcrack ;-)
@Satori_Hanso, thanks! Yeah, this is my best round ever, and the quality is also there. The bud is perfectly looking, feeling and smelling, now if it tastes and works great, than it's a winner! I guess that will be perfect too! Lucky me..π
@Satori_Hanso, What makes it difficult to awnser is because the Moonwalkers have such a strong smell. The Honey's are a strain like no other i'd had before, and it really cuts the normal cycle with 4 weeks, so the smell is developing late to begin with. But i'd notice that the smell is much more nuanced than the skunky moonwalkers. It really has a caramel like smell, and a good amount of the pheno's have a strong smell if you come close enough. I expect the smell to become strong this week. We'll see! ;-)
@ReinDeer, thanks, after this diary i'm going to explain only the changes i'm making to my M.O. but this diary is now the baseline. Take your advantage from it and thanks!
