Seedling planted in Pro-Mix HP in solo cup after germinating in peat pellet. Light intensity in first week was slowly raised to optimal levels and have been sparingly watering every 2 days at a PH of 6.5. Once it was apparent the seedling was a trileaf I had to decide whether or not to cull it. After a few days of watching it seems to be growing at a normal rate and I believe with some topping, defoliating, and training it should come out great.

Yellowing was beginning to occur so I added a liberal amount of nutrients on day 3 and by week end growth was quite a bit past the edges of solo cup. Transplanted into 5 gallon fabric pot on day 7 with Pro-Mix HP and extra myco added every inch or so in soil and around roots. Pruned some lower leaves and around which I have decided will be the 3 main nodes I will use for the manifold

Grew the three growth tips out I will be using for the mainline then topped and pruned below. Watered on day 3 with compost/nutrient tea which was brewed for 3 days and consisted of Bokashi Pro Gro compost, some blackstrap molasses, Marphyl marine phytoplankton, Biobizz grow (beet vinasse), Diamond Black (Humic Acids), and CaMg+ (Calcium/Magnesium/etc.) Growth still slowly picking up

Upped bio-grow by 0.5 tsp/gal. Letting soil dry more between waterings to attempt to establish larger root system quickly. Continuing mainline and training to maintain an even canopy. Stopping mainline at a potential 9 colas. Vegging for at least another 2 weeks.

Started bottom watering at 1/3 of total volume added by placing plant in larger tray and letting the soil wick it up. Stopped moving plant ties to promote sideways growth and will now start growing upward. Preparing to transition to flower and will feed one more nutrient filled compost tea before the switch.

-Gave a Bokashi filled compost tea at the beginning of the week and have been sparingly removing a few larger fan leaves blocking light still. -Main stalk split from LST so I am taking good care to keep water off it and not let it get rotted.

Happy Harvest Day!

Critical Jack has to be one of the easiest and disease resistant strains I’ve grown. Like other times I’ve ran it, the entire grow it has been happy and healthy and seemingly never had any issues at all. Even when the main stalk split from bending it still bounced back like nothing even happened. One thing I did notice with this particular pheno of the strain was that it was a more sativa dominant one. Flowering did seem to take a bit longer than when I had grown it before although it was cultivated with synthetic nutrients then. When I first realized it was a trileaf I was a bit sceptical about how this one would turn out but I have been pleasantly surprised with its beautiful structure. Always a joy to grow the Critical Jack!

Harvested when a few trichomes were still clear for a more energetic effect and that is exactly the outcome. Great for daytime use and to help anxiety. The taste is a fantastic citrus and ginger mix that I find pairs great with a nice hoppy beer.

Hey bro nice grow wanted to ask how did u get 3 branches on the save level?
MyrceneDream
MyrceneDreamcommented6 years ago
@Efka710, Thanks. The plant has a mutation and grows three side branches instead of two. Early on I chose 3 growth tips that I decided would be the main branches then topped everything above and have been holding them down with plant ties
