I feel like jumping to Permethrin-based solutions is lazy as could be...if you do, be careful with any pets, use proper protocols, and know that you are part of the problem with super-pests and such. It is what it is, but you should be seeking an integrated solution that flows with your rooms....from first cut of a clone or scoring of a seed to last cut of trim, not a silver bullet solution. not trying to be a hater, but Permethrin and the natural analogues of such are miracle tools for pest management (or they were). Now in multiple continents we have mites, thrips, and aphids with extreme resistance to it.......like it is happening so fast in lab settings, a single generation may go from 90% mortality to under 50%....if humans did that for any pathogen or illness, well that would be friggin bonkers insane.... Not only that, using a Permethrin-based solution is the equivalent of putting a switch on your pistol instead of learning how to aim a firearm.... Also, my personal beef - this stuff is hell on both aquatic life and bees and basically has zero use in any IPM regime worth a single crap

the best option is to have many options to hit them with, not just 1 thing. ive been struggling with them for the past year. they just keep coming back because i get comfortable once i think theyre gone. so now im doing preventatives pretty regularly because they dont seem to fully go away. i use lost coast plant therapy which is essential oils and alcohol and soap i think safer brand insecticidal soap which is just fatty salts of potassium sulfate and rarely i use captain jack dead bug spray which is spinosad. all of these are organic and considered safe for edible crops. none of them are chemical pesticides but they will work. it doesnt eradicate them but it keeps them away from my garden and plants. i alternate these and they can be used in different turn around times. They have cheaper options of stuff like lost coast. just look for stuff that uses essential oils as the main ingredient. i have used the lost coast up to harvest for some bad timed infestations and it doesn't affect smell or taste but i would still prefer to not do it that late if possible. so the key is prevention. Keep them away before and you wont have them later on. just dont get too complacent with it. everytime i do, they come back worse. This year is already considered bad for spider mites. i see them outside on other plants in the neighborhood.
