Germinate the seeds awesomely (paper towel method) and put them straight into 5 gal fabric pots. Using layered soil- the top quarter is seed starter soil and the bottom layer is Fox Farm Ocean Forest. They both popped and started growing a little bit (I was under watering them). The amnesia haze is growing quicker and taller than the WW. Any ideas why that would be?

My White Widow auto is showing signs of preflowering and is growing large white pistols already and it’s inky the end of week three. Is this normal? Beyond I feel it’s no where near ready for that

A couple of my autos started showing at 3-4 and they turned out great. They did a big boost of growth during the 2 weeks after the flowers showed up. Some autos just lean towards the smaller side, but they still can do amazing things in those following weeks so don't get too bummed yet.✌️

I’ve admitted it here before: I can be a real jerk sometimes. And this may be one of them. Apologies in advance. Alcohol may be a contributing factor. It is Friday night. @KaptainKush429 wrote “.. I feel like it’s no where near ready for preflowering or am I just paranoid?!” Yes but you’re not alone. I’ve witnessed this among auto growers in higher proportion numbers per grower than those who grow photos. It is likely due to the fact that new, inexperienced growers gravitate toward autos in the mistaken belief it will be easier. The Ruderalis gene introduced to induce auto flowering is subject to a number of undesirable characteristics. I won’t do a clinic on it here and now. Grow photos to make your lives easy. And buy regular not feminized. Learn to breed and grow your own seeds. Save huge $$$ And it’s satisfying. G’nite

I see you are watering a ring around the plant (basically just outside the leaves, and then a bit inward). I would keep doing that, and by the time you get to the outside of the pot (plant should be close to the edge of the pot), I would start doing full pot soakings and adding nutes, starting at like 1/4 strength. Its how I started mine. Didn't add nutes until I was watering the ENTIRE pot and then to runoff. You want the roots to reach out to the water as they are developing. As far as LST, I would say you can start as soon as you want, but be gentle until the plant develops a bit more strength. You don't want to go ripping stuff off. A lot I would say would depend on how you plan o instituting the LST. To grow low/around and give more top colas, or just some general bending to open up the inside, or any of the various other things you can do with LST.

@Mikeygrows, the top layer I planted the germinated seed in is Epsoma seed started and then below that is Fox Farm Ocean Forest

Don't cut your widow down yet, there are a lot of white pistils and buds are still swelling. I recommend you get a jewellers microscope to look at the trichomes, they're a few bucks

Thanks for the input! I’ll go ahead and start nutes next watering. They’re both at the end of week three right now and the amnesia haze has a way thicker stalk but they’re both still flimsy to the touch so gonna hold of on lst. Was really using it for both, to keep the height in check and get the most light penetration. My white widow is starting to grow pistols and it’s no where near ready to flower. Why is that
