Hi @Sublyme_ness! Love your setup! I also use IKEA Vaxer lights for the germination and the first week, they're doing really well, especially since they switched to LM301B! My only advice would be to get a real grow light for the next run, as you can see IKEA diodes are not strong enough to generate massive buds. Happy growing!

Were you puffing on a hacked piece in the video. 😉 Very good experiment/test. Good 🧠 dude. Question.... Do you think IKEA may be interested in marketing their product that way? You might be onto something. 😁 I'm going to follow this diary as I find what you doing smart. I hope the outcome gets you super sky high.... so sky high.... like 👽🛸👽 🌱🌜🌱

@Puffer_Bill, Thank you squire for all your lovely comments. I will update soon. I added a little dissolved eggshell( dissolved in vinegar till it didn't smell vinegary) for calcium and an extra .5 of a and b. As for IKEA. they can call me when they like. I'm open for some scientific research money... as for high. I couldn't possibly divulge this, my mum could be reading this.... Love from space. Sublimeness

cool grow!! Hey how did you find the Ikea lamps for germination? I have 5 of the 10watt grow lamps, and was thinking I will start with these until the plants are 2 weeks old, then move them under a 600w HPS

@Sublyme_ness, thanks for the info - I was thinking of only using for the first 1 or 2, then move under a 600w HPS - I have actually just stared my first indoor grow - gonna put up a new dairy in a bit if you want to check it out

@shiptony, yeah.. thanks man. I appreciate it, It was a learning experience for sure!! For germ I found them great, I personally could never have big plants so a small pot, trained under the vaxer light until flat was great to get a micro in a 9" pot going. and for it to have grown slow enough so that it didn't rush me.. I guess i would say that with 5 I thinnk it will be a great alternative to the expensive HPS, just bear in mind it's not 100% for pace of growth but i can categoraically say your plants will veg nice and green under the ikea lights. just don't overwater, they don't get hot. currently just sprouted some naga viper chilli plants which are under the vaxer, along with some nerve plants (Fittonia albivenis) they hate tooooo much light and just love it under there.. the chilli too grows lovely and green and symmetrical (albeit slowish) regardless of how much heat they seem to like normally.. it was actually a really well designed allround light... try growing some purple basil under them :D
