Double grape seems to be the strongest plant of the four I'm growing . I'm sure I've made some rookie mistake already and I know my ph has been on the higher end for the medium I'm using ( promix hp) , but I've gotten a bottle of ph down and can now remedy the situation . Also we have had a fair bit of rain here so I'll be using that to water on the next while , see if the unchlorinated water makes a difference
Another week and this plant continues to be the strongest girl I've got going. I've been watering with 1/4 strength nutes every 2.5 days or when the medium is good and dry . Lowered my ph to 6 . I've notice some canoeing on this plant today .really not sure if I'm under watering or overwatering or what ..so much info out there it's hard to make a diagnosis. I think I may try a straight PhD water next go and see how it goes . Any thoughts ?
Well my ph pen kicked the bucket after 3 weeks so I guesstimated on the ph and obviously fuxked that up . My otherwise healthy double grape has had some bottom leaves yellowing up and I also just lstd it a day before the ph mistake. It's not happy with me at all ..looks almost like it is starting to flower as well . Hope I didnt kill the poor girl
If any plant in my tent showed me its displeasure for my kindergarten growing skills it was this plant . I'm beggining to whip her back into shape now but I'm sure I took a week off her life . She never really stopped growing but never looked that healthy after week 3 but began budding regardless .
Still growing like crazy . Showing less signs of deficiencies but still not 100% . Buds are starting to thicken up and throw some sugar on the leaves . The plant itself is super sticky and smelling like fruity hash almost ? It seems to dry out quicker than any plant in my grow . One thing for sure it stinks bad and my carbon filter sucks ass .
Budding has accelerated like crazy , and this girl is getting frosty . It's the frostiest plant in my grow by far. I'm getting a strange smell off my grow that I heard another grower mention , an almost moldy smell . Got me kind of worried but I've looked it up and down and see no sign whatsoever of mold or mildew. I do have a cheese plant in the grow that may be contributing to the smell . I've backed off the nutes as it seemed to not like what I was giving it , and I've also moved my entire tent to a cooler spot and the temp has been staying around 28 .
Been a good week , buds have really thickened up , still some yellowing on the leaves but I'm happy with what's happening. I was wondering if I should drop my light from 24 to 18 to see if that increases resin production, lower temps..less light ? Any input appreciated
Ph meter went out of calibration so I dosed her high . I m flushing after this dries out but am hoping they fill out a bit more during that time . I'm leaving on holidays in 15 days so I cant let them go much further unfortunately. The trichomes are seemingly as still clear as far as I can tell
Easy to grow , if I had grown this by itself I may have been impressed with it but I find it grew pretty leafy and unimpressive looking after dried . I pad more for this bean than any other and I wish I would have got.more.ghost toof lol
24 hr light cycle made these plants grow quick , I probably shaved a week and a half of the life of the plant by being a novice but in the end I harvested more bud then I thought I would .
Looking through the previous few weeks it looks like you were under feeding a bit. Another possibility is the pots may be a bit too wet preventing the roots from nutrient uptake. Unusual for soil less but it happens. You can see a bit of leaf drooping and a little curl on the tips. Were all guilty of it at times try to let them dry out a bit more than usual before your next watering. Your plants are big enough to water till the point of runoff. Takes a bit of getting use to but feeling the weight of the pot before and after watering helps out. Another possibility is you need to add some beneficial microbes to your pots. If your using tap water that contains chlorine try to leave it out aerate it with an air stone too much chlorine can block nitrogen absorption and kill beneficial bacteria.
@Philindicus, I think I've figured it out. I moved my hydrometer up higher in the tent and its reading 30C ! I have a fan blowing over top of the girls but that's too hot . I bought another booster fan to push air into the tent from outside
@Pisstank85,If your using LED lights invest in a PAR meter It will help you get the right distance from your plants during the different growing stages. I helped me out a lot.
@Philindicus, funny you say that I just got a bottle of Plant Success Orca today . I gave them a dose tonight with the watering . I'm finding since I added my second light and lower humidity the plants are drying out quite quick , 3 days and they are bone dry , the double grape and ghost toof particularly seem to soak up the water quick . I'm thinking of adding another fan to keep the heat down ..it sits between 26-28 which is probably high
Your buds look perfect. I'd leave the light where it is. If you move the light too close you risk burning the buds. Also terpenes and THC don't like high heat and will burn off. As long as your temps are under 80 F your good.
