These ladies have gotten off to an amazing start with some great growth. Their taproots were already poking through the peat pots on Friday so they’ve had to be settled into their AutoPots. I've only seen this level of growth in a perfect bubbleponics setup, so it's encouraging to see in coco as I test out AutoPots. It looks like this will be an exciting grow.
Stage 2 of training has begun. A mutation of two leaves coming from one side of a node has been spotted (three-leaf node). All four plants have been named and the tent has been rearranged for better placement. Nutrients have been slightly increased for vegetative growth due to warnings of nutrient burn.
Curly isn't looking good at all, and Bendy seems to be a bit slower as well. Primrose is the start child, with Catnip showing standard growth.
Pistols are starting to show up to the party, I’m expecting the stretch to hit soon. The MH has been swapped out for an HPS for flowering.
Training continues to keep the canopy as flat and even as possible which is going well. As flowering begins the plants will start to take on their own shape.
Nutrient burn became noticeable after the slight increase last week. These girls really don’t want much nutes so they’re being kept on low doses until they ask for more.
The extra heat of the HPS is too much without a professional extractor fan so I’m leaving the tent open from now on but will have to turn the light off at night to sleep.
I’ve had to go as far as to take the tent cover off to keep the temps under 30C with this HPS. I may need to invest in a professional extractor sometime soon, especially when summer comes around.
Mid-week and I'm switching to the Lucas formula.
Last week was a bit all over the place with the transition into flowering. I’ve done some more training to start the week off - the ladies are all nice and flat, taking up the majority of the 80x80 space. They’ll start growing up this week as the stretch continues.
They are definitely in the stretch - doubles in height last week now that they’re mainly growing up. Pistols are plentiful and the canopy is full and even. Everything is well on track.
They’re coming along nicely. They’ve finished up the last of their stretch, which impressed me as I thought they’d be much smaller, and are starting to develop serious nugs. The canopy is perfectly flat with 35 tops (all non-canopy tops were trimmed last week).
Pistols are plentiful, and trichomes are starting to show. Their nutrients have been increased to full Locus formula. Now just to watch them bud and then harvest.
I debated starting to flush this week as they’re starting to golden up, but some of the nugs at the back are still fully clear, so it’s another week of nutrients with the harvest around the corner.
