DrewbieDoobieNoobie Hello, had some Duds in the first round of Germination. none of my ILGM seeds popped. they were 8 years old when I tried so, I don't blame the breeder. I settled on two stains one of my own a S1 Fem and a Nuke Heads that look super frosty in the pics. it's been a while since I posted anything, I was wondering if you would give me your thoughts on some "bro science" do you think there is a direct correlation between how dark the seeds are to how dark the plants will be? If you look at the seed pics the nuclear Scary Bubbles are the lighter seed, should they intern, be more green and less purple? The blackberry fire cookies are dark in comparison.
what are your thoughts. I know genetics play an important part for color and lower temps can bring out the Anthocyanin in strains that have that genetic marker.
but what can we tell from the seeds? anything or is it all voodoo bullshit?
let me know where you Weigh in at.
thanks.
Drewbie.

DrewbieDoobieNoobie Well, the girls they are cruising along looking well feed from the super soil.
I am adding is the CAL and the MAG during waterings.
If I see any sings of hunger, I will add the Cali pro A and B but for now the soil should carry them until flower, I hope.

DrewbieDoobieNoobie looks like a little rust mold or ph. imbalance or nutrient burn either way I removed the bad fans so far so good. The soil looks like it has all the food they need for now. I'll be looking for sexing in week 5-6 theses all should be ladies. I know mine are from the feminization I did on them I hope I don't see any Hermies. let's go Nuke Heads!

DrewbieDoobieNoobie And them there were 5. Looks like I lost an NSB, no fault of the breeder mind you. It got really hot this week and I went a day over what I should have to water. let this be a lesson to new growers " ALWAYS CHECK YOUR GARDEN EVERY DAY AT THE SAME TIME" it does not take long for a pest or environment in this case to ruin you ladies. lazy cost you the hazy. so, the strong will survive. NSB1 needed a drink bad. Big fans require big water. all the buckets were light so time to top them off with the rainwater. at 7.0 ph. 30ppm. I added a little extra food as they will be going into flower next week. about 1200 ppm of food, and the stretch shall begin. I think I will ScrOG these in week 2 of flower. Stay tuned and Stay Lifted.

DrewbieDoobieNoobie Week 1 of flower and we are trying to fill the canopy as best we can. added a little PK boost with some liquid Cool bloom I have laying around.
gave them a lower trim for airflow and let's see if they stretch anymore. see the time-lapse. they are drinking a lot mor often now so I will water every 2-3 days depending on the weight of the buckets. they were super light today when i feed them. 1 NSB is the darker of the 5 the other 4 are my feminized seeds for the BBFC's and they are starting to smell whoof!

DrewbieDoobieNoobie This is why I say always check your garden. In just 3 short days she went BALLS OUT. Now I am down to four ladies, that will be plenty. 3 BBFC and 1 Nuke Heads Nuclear Scary Bubbles. I am not sure if it was Stress or Weak Genes, I did feminize these myself without any back crossing. Sometimes you just get a true Herm. no Nanners on this one just Balls to the wall man. that is an Accept Reference if you don't know it ok your just too young.

DrewbieDoobieNoobie The Final Four are still stretching as you can see in the Time lapse movie. They are really eating; I just feed them on the 7th and again on the 10 they are responding well to the increased PPM and reduced PH 1500 and 5.9 with no real signs of Nutrient burn. I added the Pro A and B this time as they will need some N in the flowering stage the P & K are getting the boost from the liquid Cool Bloom 0-10-10 I and am still feeding CAL and MAG in every watering. I think tonight when the lights come on, I will rearrange the Scrog with the four remaining plants, as three of them are tucked in the corner from the time I had my California 6 in the tent. For me that is plenty of personal smoke plus Larf and trim hash. happy growing Gromies.πͺ

DrewbieDoobieNoobie Starting Week 6 folks and the ladies are starting to stack and are getting their diamond jewelry out. They are frosting up nicely on the BBFC.
I had a little Nutrient burn this week. I think I was pushing them a little too hard at 1800 ppm. This week on the 23rd I gave them just CAL and MAG with the watering. They are drinking more heavily now, to me it makes sense because they are in mid flower and starting to stack. I also Lolly popped them on the bottoms to get rid of the larf and focus the energy on the top colas. now I just need to nail the feeding PPM and let them put on weight.
tune in next week for close up trichomes shots. stay lifted.

DrewbieDoobieNoobie Huston, we have a problem! week 7 of flower and it looks like I have a Nutrient lock out. Potassium (K) is not getting the uptake it should. too much CAL MAG I believe is locking out the (K) looking at the symptoms and keeping track of the nutrients watering and environment, I ruled out Sephora. I will be excluding the CAL MAG in this week 8's feeding and check my double check my PH as well i am seeing a little burn on some of the leaf's but not bad. the runt of the litter is taking it the hardest. the bucket is still heavy so waiting on dry back on that one as it is smaller and had a late start. 3 different phenotypes in the tent one for the NSB it is its own and 2 from the BBFC the one in the rear with golf ball size nugs is the one i have grown before for the seeds the other I have not seen. It is stacking nicely and the BBFC smell like berries sweet and fruity the NSB has a gassy skunky smell.
that's all for now let's see if my Prognosis was correct on the (K) lock out.

DrewbieDoobieNoobie I will just water from here on out. The fade is starting and I am just watering when dry for the last 2 weeks before harvest. 2 of the girls are a week or 2 behind. I might make hash rosin from them and the trim. the 2 good ones are going to the jars for curing and then we will have to wait for winter for the next grow to avoid the heat in the Garage/grow room. keep growing strong.

DrewbieDoobieNoobie I more Week for the ladies and the chop is coming Going to blast the light for 48hrs the last two days and see if that will increase the Trichomes.
the long weekend will be the harvest and the hanging for 10-14 days then the bucking and trimming
could have let this go another week but on had a late start and i only have one tent to grow and dry in. not at all disappointed with the results
18.8% THC on my T-Check Meter smells like vanilla. I would recommend this strain for those looking for High Trichome production

DrewbieDoobieNoobie well, another grow in the books, terps smell great like a vanilla wafer I can't wait to let it cure for a few more months by the start of football season it should be Perfect.
I might have over feed them, but they pulled through I love the smell of these I might do a full grow of these one day 15.5% THC respectably.

DrewbieDoobieNoobie these are my pet projects and i love the smell of these sweet berries and candy I can't wait to smoke this. come on Football season. Couch lock Here I Come.
This is why I love this community; always learning something new! The anthocyanin angle makes sense, maybe the seed coat is an early indicator? Either way, those are some beautiful genetics you've got there. GL with the grow! π
