#12 - Barney's Lemon Tree

Abendkraut A new diary for a new free seed. Lemon Tree from barney's farm. This dairy starts at week 3 and about 3 days after topping the plant.

Abendkraut Damn that's a tall one, the tent is clearly to small for this. Yeah sorry for the missing weeks or lack of description currently I don't have time to write weekly entries

Abendkraut Ok so this Lemon Tree didn't get its name randomly. This lady is seriously turning into a tree I had to remove the grow tent. 3 days outside of the tent and it gained yet another 10cm already.

Abendkraut 3rd week of flowering, She keeps gaining height and the flowers are in full bloom. White pistils are growing all around the plant. No need for defoliation seeing how wide apart they grow.

Abendkraut 4th week of flowering is behind us and she took it well being taken out of the growtent. I might not use one in future depending on the harvest result

Abendkraut 5th week of flowering and all is looking pretty good at this point. Easily the tallest indoor plant I had the pleasure to see grow. She is a very low maintenance plant, I don't need to defoliate just give it water everyday adding the nutrs about 3 times per week.

Abendkraut Some bad surprises this week. I should have expected this but some branches started to bend due to the weight. These long but thin branches will need support until the end. I used some cord and pulled an improvised net around for the branches to rest on.

Abendkraut Not a lot to mention this week, kept the warering and nutrs at the same level as the previous weeks, buds are bulking and getting heavier. My improvised support holds it in place.

Abendkraut Pretty normal week. The water intake went down a bit so I reduce the water volume given. I don't want to rot the root this late in the growth. Based on Barney's Farm description the Lemon Tree has a short flowering period of about 70days. We are in the 8th week of flowering and nearing the harvest. I'll keep you updated if I decide to switch to water only.

Abendkraut Final week before harvest currently only giving plain water givibg a chance to take absord the remaining nutrients that are already present in the soil.

Abendkraut This will be the final week before harvest. The trichomes are not really turning either milky nor amber coloured. This is the first mainly sativa I grow and I read on a few places that some strains can end up like that. No nanners in my buds, no sign of a hermie. I will add pictures the day I harvest.

Abendkraut Nothing to mention at this point I harvested yesterday evening and hung it upside down in my basement which is a controlled environment with a humidity level around 60% and light airflow. Grow diary please fix your site, I enjoy updates like anyone else but the buggy features are piling up while you update features that no one asked. Community driven sites only prosper when them listen to the community.
