Rhah420 I set up 3x Blue Zushi from Dutch Passion and 2x OG #18 from DNA/Reserva Privada. As always, I soaked the seeds in water for about 24 hours and then placed them in the coco planting bags. However, I will only keep 2 of the 3 Blue Zushi; all 4 plants will eventually go into an 11 L pot with Bio Bizz Allmix and Light Mix. I will be trying out 2 different nutrients, Greenhouse Feeding and Bio Tabs.

Rhah420 4 seeds have germinated (2x OG18 + 2x Blue Zushi), but since one Blue Zushi is a bit deformed, I let another OG #18 germinate. The little one is now in the tent and is obviously a few days behind the others. I'll decide closer to flowering whether to get rid of one plant.
I'm currently running the light at 20%, which corresponds to 40w, resulting in a PPFD of 170 (µmol/(m²s)). I'm watering with pH-adjusted water, which is a 1+2 mix of distilled and tap water.

Rhah420 4 of the ladies were repotted into 12 liters of BioBizz Allmix and now need to get used to their new shoes. When I water next, I'll be adding nematodes.
In about 2 weeks, I will start applying the Greenhouse solid fertilizer (bloom) to the soil. Watering will continue with pH-adjusted water with a conductivity of 0.4 mS/cm. The lamp's power has been increased to 80 W, which corresponds to a PPFD of about 340 µmol/(m²·s).

Rhah420 Today, the 4 little ladies were topped (pruning of the main stem). In 3 days, I will apply the organic solid fertilizer from Greenhouse (Bloom) and switch to flowering in about 7-14 days. The plants are now between 14 - 22 cm tall, and I will try to train them a bit so they are more at the same height; let's see if that works.

Rhah420 The photo was taken before watering, the ladies were a bit thirsty. I mixed in Greenhouse Bio Bloom solid fertilizer into the top layer of soil a few days ago and switched to 12/12 today.
The lamp's power was increased to 120w, which corresponds to a PPFD of 510 µmol/(m²·s).

Rhah420 The first week of flowering is over, the stretch is slowly starting. I watered again with nematodes. I'm now setting the watering pH to around 6.5. Otherwise, nothing has changed; I assume the stretch will peak in the next 2 weeks, and I might need to bend the ladies a bit.

Rhah420 2nd week of flowering. You can already see the flower sites nicely. I think I'll defoliate/lollipop in the lower area during the week.
I'm still only watering with pH adjusted water. This week I watered with the Bio Enhancer according to the Greenhouse instructions.

Rhah420 Plants have stepped it up again. The lamp was set to 200w, which corresponds to a PPFD of 850 µmol/m²/s. I covered the top layer of soil with clay balls since I keep seeing a fungus gnat flying around. I will water again next week with nematodes. The yellow sticky traps have also been replaced. So far, it seems to be going quite well with the solid fertilizer from Greenhouse.

Rhah420 Nothing new, still watering every 3 days with about 10% of the pot volume using pH-adjusted water. I've defoliated a bit more. In the next few days, I'll remove the small shadow buds so the plants can put more energy into the larger flowers. If I do another run with soil, I will definitely extend the veg stage so the plants can generate more mass during flowering.

Rhah420 I removed a few male pollen sacs from the Blue Zushi this week, but I can't rule out that something got pollinated. Unfortunately, that's almost normal with the newer strains these days. Still extremely annoying and maybe even frustrating, we'll see. The Zushi smells really good, though, while the OG18 looks more like the good old school standard, which isn't a bad thing.

Rhah420 I had to remove a few bananas again. I hope I won't have too many seeds in the final product. I'm still only watering with water. Fall is definitely setting in now, I think I'll be harvesting within the next 2-3 weeks.

Rhah420 Autumn is already well advanced. I think the harvest will happen either this week or at the latest next week. The trichomes were mostly milky a few days ago, still a few clear ones but no amber colors. I think it's clear that the yield won't be great again, but I can already say that the quality will be there 😃 unfortunately, I've been having more problems with fungus gnats in the last few days, but now there's not much to do besides yellow sticky traps. In the next grow, I’ll be going back to coco 😅
After 4 weeks of drying, including 7 days in Dryferm bags and 3 weeks with 62% Boveda in glass, the Blue Zushi was tasted in the vaporizer (mighty). There is only one pheno for me in terms of taste and effect. The growth and appearance were almost the same for both. However, one of the plants had slightly more purple buds.
Unfortunately, both plants had a few male flowers around the middle of flowering that kept coming back for 2 weeks. It was still manageable, but there were only 2 plants.
The taste is mainly fruity/creamy mixed with a bit of citrus and lavender. A very special flavor, I can taste a lot of it even in a pure spliff. Tasty, but I don't think it's necessarily for every day, at least for me.
The effect is also the same for both. Very strong hybrid high, which is very stoned, but the couchlock comes pretty quickly afterwards. Still, you have to be careful here; it can get a bit unchill if you smoke too much at once.
The yield was okay, and I would say it's in the middle considering that the plants ran out of juice a bit too early (1-2 weeks) towards the end of flowering. I think the Blue Zushi can convert larger amounts of nutrients with the right light and deliver a correspondingly higher yield.
It may also be that topping did not do well for the yield and the hermaphroditism. Next time, I would prefer to tie them down accordingly to promote the side branches. Furthermore, I would probably grow them in a ScroG setup.

Rhah420 The harvest has been completed. The buds are now stored in dryferm bags at a fairly constant 60% humidity. I saw a few male flowers, let's see how many seeds are developing. The smell was indescribable, I'm excited for the test. I'll check back in a few weeks after the tasting.

Rhah420 The harvest has been completed. The buds are now stored in dryferm bags at a fairly constant 60% rlf. There are definitely 2 phenos in terms of smell and probably also taste. One leans more towards gas station, while the other has an earthier smell. Let's see how it looks for tasting in a few weeks.
