Everything growing as expected. Ph is stable after about half way through week 2. Still having heat "issues", with my bucket temps up to 78 a few days. I use issues in quotes as she doesn't seem to mind it a bit. In fact it's looking like she will be ready to top in a few days. Still not sure if I will go the whole manifolding route on this grow. I'm more feeling the top, veg for a few days, and flip to flower by day 22. That will help reduce the heat load in the grow room during the summer months. Adding just a dash of bloom to get ready for the early flip.

So I went ahead and tried the Floralucious plus again (about 9days ago), and again its root rot. 2 days ago roots turned a clay color, she still putting on weight but started a flush today to see if we can get another week or two before the chop. Bucket sides were coated in slime, intermixed with some bound nutes (I knew I was having to feed too much). She still has few white hairs showing up here and there, but the trichromes are much more cloudy. Flush this time consists of tap water, ph 6.2, and with the remaining bit I didnt clean from the bucket, around 400ppm. During draining I was seeing the ppm raise as I flushed clean water through the roots. She was built up. So we leave her to recover or go for an early harvest. Some new pictures of the root mess on the way. Flushing with tap as I don't have enough filtered on hand, and while I can build the water up in a few hours, didn't have the time or storage so I went with it.

Posted some more pictures from mid way through the week 10. I'm happy with the results of my semi lollipop as I will call it for now. Might have spurred some upwards growth so I had to reposition my tie down. Drying around a half oz of small stuff I pruned off. Should enough for an early taste test.

lilbp420commented6 years ago
@NattyStateGrower, 1.25-1.5 gallons a day get used. I'm in the desert and my temps will only continue up till harvest You can grow in higher temps (to a point) and great results.

@@lilbp420, I can only imagine how much she drinks. I wish I was getting results like that. I think the only thing holding me back atm is rez temps. It's hot and this ballers on a budget!

@NattyStateGrower, IKR? Hard to gauge how much actual water is in the bucket the roots are using so much space.

I'll be watching your posts @@lilbp420. I want to try some DWC. Want to get away from schleping media around, and dealing with the pests within them. Going to wait till the fall when cooler temps indoors. ✌️
lilbp420
lilbp420commented6 years ago
@DeaneR, If I catch a good one I'll put it under the scope to look at :) But I'm 90% sure it's fruit flies. Nothing bad yet, just one here and there. If they start getting too bad I break out the vacuum and hit the problem area(s). Too many other sources of these little buggers around my grow to keep completely free.

@@lilbp420, Could be fruit flies or fungus gnats.
lilbp420
lilbp420commented6 years ago
@DeaneR, I'll tell ya, I can't grow nothing in the soil like I do in hydro. I can never seem to get the time to prep the soil right. Still have pest problems that can come up, like right now I'm fighting fruit flies (or at least what they look like).

@VIPgrower, also changed the lid a bit after the algae and rot root in my last run. So far temps have averaged higher and no rot. If it gets much warmer I'll have to turn on the ac in the room.

@Homegrown420, I just might do that. She is still exploding up top. Something still wrong as I been flushing for 3 days after I bring the water down to 300ppm the next day it's in the 800-1000 range. She just on Ph'ed water till I take her down.

lilbp420
lilbp420commented5 years ago
@HerbalEdu, yes I have 4 really big colas that are almost 36" full of bud, then a ton of lower stuff that is already drooping down. I'm expecting a decent harvest. I think 3-4 weeks till she is chopped down.

lilbp420commented6 years ago
@MovingOn, I'm just glad she slowed down this week. That 12 inch jump wasn't expected and took me by surprise. I have added a few tie downs on the bigger limbs that were reaching the lights and still have a few feet I can raise up if need be but right now maintaining 6-10" seems to give the best output vs coverage for her.
